Chapter 568 "Is Kyle with you?"
"Lisa!" Kyle exclaimed, jumping down the steps in panic and rushing to Lisa.
With a panicked expression, he said, "Lisa, don't worry, I'll take you to the doctor right away!"
He said that, but he couldn't lift Lisa at all and could only drag her upper body.
After this ordeal, Lisa's stomach pain worsened, and she was drenched in sweat.
She pushed Kyle away and fell to the ground again. "Get lost! You're dragging me like a pig!"

But he didn't care what others said.
However, he had to trouble Rex.
Ryder patted Rex on the shoulder. "I guess you're the only one here who can carry the young lady of the Moore family. Please take her to the hospital."
"Don't worry, Ryder! It's no trouble for me! I once carried a cow in labor to the next village to see a doctor!"
"Ryder, what's wrong?" Rex noticed Ryder's uneasy expression and asked.
Ryder shook his head. "Nothing, just take her to the hospital quickly! Lives are at stake!"
"Got it!" After assuring Ryder, Rex walked towards Lisa.
Without waiting for her consent, he scooped her up in a princess carry.
"Bastard, what are you doing? Let me go!" Lisa shouted.
Rex snorted coldly, "Behave yourself. If you weren't pregnant, I'd carry you over my shoulder!"
Lisa was momentarily speechless when she saw Rex's cold gaze.
Wow! It felt just like a domineering CEO in a novel!
And this princess carry?
Oh! Those strong chest muscles, such a secure embrace!
Rex, being stared at like this, said coldly, "Close your eyes! If you keep looking, I'll drop you!"
Lisa let out a small "ah" and quickly closed her eyes.
Feeling the strong, rhythmic heartbeat from his chest, her own heart skipped a few beats.
Could this be what they call love at first sight?
Rex had no idea what Lisa was thinking.
Kyle, following behind, was naturally unaware, but he felt a bit jealous.
When had Lisa ever been so obedient in front of him? Closing her mouth when told to? Closing her eyes when told to?
Damn Rex!
No, damn Ryder for sending Rex, just to spite him!
Ryder had no idea that his kind gesture would lead Rex to encounter a troublesome woman and deepen Kyle's resentment towards him!
Rex took Lisa to the hospital.
Ryder continued to observe the short video shoot with Donna.
From market research, script creation and selection, actor choices, to set design... indeed, there was almost nothing to criticize!
Ryder expressed his satisfaction and promised to invest ten million dollars in the project!
Immediately, many key members of the crew expressed:
"Mr. Clark, rest assured, we will work hard with Donna and Brandon!"
"That's right, we'll make our short video series the best in the industry!"

Ryder thought for a moment and shook his head to decline.
Rex hadn't returned from taking Lisa to the hospital, and the Moore family might be causing trouble?
Just as he took out his phone to call Rex, his wife Sarah's video call came through.
Strange, it wasn't their scheduled video call time yet?
He answered, and Sarah's stunning face appeared on the screen.
Instantly, all his worries vanished!
But then Sarah's urgent voice came through, "Ryder, was Kyle with you just now?"
"Kyle?" Ryder asked, slightly surprised.
How did Sarah know about what had just happened?
Sarah explained, "Yes, I was chatting with Barbara just now. After hanging up, I saw that Kyle had accepted my friend request on WhatsApp! He even sent me a photo of you and your transgender classmate, telling me not to be too grateful to him and to see the truth. Did you two have another conflict?"
Hearing this, Ryder frowned.
Sarah, seeing Ryder's displeased expression, pouted, "Ryder, don't get me wrong! I'm worried about you! But you know, my mom and Kyle left without a word back then. I do have a blood relationship with them. An old woman and a young man with no skills, I just..."
"Alright, you don't need to explain, I understand!" Ryder shrugged indifferently.
"But I can see you're angry!" Sarah raised her voice, biting her lower lip, looking aggrieved.
"I'm not angry! It's just that Karen and Kyle treated you that way back then. I'm afraid if you're too soft-hearted again, you'll get hurt! And that would break my heart!"
Hearing Ryder's words, Sarah blushed. "Got it!"
"I originally wanted to find a time to talk to you about this. Since you asked, I'll tell you everything about Kyle and Karen."
Ryder then told Sarah everything he knew about Kyle and Karen.
Sarah was shocked. "Ryder, you mean Kyle married the Moore family's daughter and joined their family? But didn't he always look down on matrilocal marriage?"
Hearing this, Ryder teased, "What, you look down on matrilocal marriage?"
"If I did, why would I have married you!" Sarah rolled her eyes at Ryder and continued, "But since they chose this path, let them be!"
Ryder nodded.
Before hanging up, Sarah added, "Barbara called me earlier. She went on a solo trip recently. Since you're in New York City, she'll arrive at New York City airport at eleven tomorrow. Please pick her up and give her some support!"
"Why is she coming here? Why not go directly to you?" Ryder asked.
"Barbara thought I was already in New York City, so she bought a ticket there! But I got held up by work! Remember, you're Barbara's brother-in-law, so act like one and take good care of her! Got it?"
Ryder made an OK gesture. "I promise to complete the task you assigned!"
