Chapter 570 This Scene Feels a Bit Familiar?
The next morning, Rex drove Ryder to New York City International Airport.
Sarah had mentioned yesterday that today was the day her sister Barbara would return from her trip, they were now heading to the airport to pick her up.
So, the two waited in the lounge.
Barbara had been away from Houston for almost a month now.
And Ryder had been in New York City for nearly a month as well.
During this month, although Ryder hadn't completely established himself in New York City, he had fully taken control of Maple Group and outsmarted the Young family.
Thinking about it, Barbara wouldn't be mistreated when she came to New York City.
Ryder glanced at Barbara's flight; the plane should have landed half an hour ago.
But there was no sign of her at the exit.
So, he called Barbara.
The call connected.
Immediately, Barbara's playful voice came through, "Hello! Did you miss me?"
Ryder paused and asked calmly, "Is this your flight? The screen shows it landed half an hour ago!"
"Don't mention it! I'm still on the shuttle bus! It's moving as slow as a snail!"
"I heard some celebrity got a special lane, so we have to wait!"
"It might take a while longer. Ryder, I can't talk now, it's so crowded here! See you later!"
"Okay, see you later!"
Ryder then hung up the phone.
He looked at Rex beside him. "How about we play a game together?"
Rex shook his head. "You go ahead, Ryder. Last time I played this game, I squeezed my phone too hard and broke it! It was heartbreaking!"
"Alright, if you get bored, you can watch some videos."
Ryder said, then took out his phone and started a game.
Just then, Two security guards approached Ryder and Rex, suggesting they wait outside, saying the airport was expecting an important guest, and they needed to lay out a red carpet.
Given the friendly attitude of the security guards, Ryder and Rex willingly moved to another spot to continue waiting for Barbara.
They saw a large crowd suddenly gather at the exit, nearly a hunderd people.
They completely blocked the exit, pushing Ryder and Rex to the corner.
The crowd was full of young girls, with little hearts on their faces, some holding phones, some with cameras, and a dozen holding signs and banners!
The banners read:
[Welcome Ken to New York City!]
[Love Ken you forever!]
Seeing this, Ryder couldn't help but remark, "Rex, doesn't this scene look familiar?"
"Huh?" Rex scratched his head, thought for a moment, and nodded. "It does look familiar. I think we saw this Ken guy at Houston airport too!"
Ryder laughed, "It's probably the same person!"
"Suddenly, the world feels so small! For some reason, I just can't stand that kind of gigolo."
Ryder nodded. "If you could stand him, you'd probably turn gay! Haha!"
As they chatted, the airport staff finished laying out the red carpet.
Suddenly, someone in the fan crowd started screaming, "Wow! Look, Ken is here! So handsome!"
Immediately, other fans started screaming as well:
"Welcome Ken to my hometown! Mom is here!"
"Big love for Ken! Love you to death! Ah!"
"Ken, look at us!"
The screams of a hundred fans echoed through the lounge exit, attracting the attention of passing travelers.
Annoyed by such noise, older travelers frowned and quickened their pace to leave;
While younger travelers, upon hearing that Ken was in New York City, quickly joined the fan crowd, waving flags and cheering!
Ryder and Rex twitched their mouths, seeing a young man walking down the red carpet with a runway strut, accompanied by his manager, assistant, and seven or eight security guards.
This Ken, different from his appearance at Houston airport, had dyed his red hair gray and was wearing a suit and tie.
He appeared formal and dignified, yet still handsome.
Recently, Ken starred in a hit fantasy drama, and with the strong promotion from his agency, he had become the undisputed hottest male actor in the country.
Just a wave of him caused a frenzy among the fans:
"Ah! Did you see that? Ken waved at me, I can hardly breathe!"
"Oh my god, so excited, so excited!"
"He even smiled at me! Kiss me, hubby!"
The fans screamed wildly, pushing forward.
Some even broke through the airport staff's barriers, rushing into the passage, houting and taking pictures of Ken, calling him hubby non-stop.
If not for the bodyguards stepping in front of Ken in time, he would have been kissed all over by these fans!
The airport staff, however, maintained order calmly.
After all, New York City International Airport had hosted many famous stars.
They could handle this scene.
And they had heard of Ken.
Ken was a young artist who rose to fame in a talent show a couple of years ago, a representative figure in the entertainment industry with millions of fans online.
Thus, Ken and his entourage successfully walked out of the passage.
As soon as they stepped out, the remaining fans went crazy, almost rushing forward like they were going to war, completely blocking the exit.
Other passengers who had just landed were directed by airport staff to exit through another B gate.
Seeing this, Ryder and Rex headed towards the B gate.
With everyone else rushing in, Ryder and Rex were going against the flow, naturally standing out.
Ken frowned, and when he saw their faces clearly, his handsome face fell.
He immediately pointed in Ryder's direction and shouted, "Those two guys, stop right there! Someone, stop them!"
He would never forget the shame at Houston airport!
Today, in front of so many fans, he would not let it go!
Ken's sudden shout silenced the hundred fans.
They all looked in the direction Ken pointed.
Ryder and Rex, unaware, continued walking.
After a few steps, they were blocked by the fans.
Rex instinctively stepped in front of Ryder and asked the fans blocking their way, "Why aren't you chasing your star? Why are you blocking us?"
The fans, as if it was obvious:
"What, didn't you hear? Our Ken told you to stop!"
"That's right! Our Ken hasn't left yet, and you two are leaving first. Do you have any respect for Ken?"
"You two were in our group just now, at least you're part of Ken's fan club. You're embarrassing us! Ken is angry, apologize to Ken, or we New York City Ken fans won't let you off!"
Ryder and Rex exchanged puzzled looks. When did they become Ken's fans?
And now they had to apologize?
