Chapter 429 I'm Allergic to Pollen
In the afternoon, Abigail and Tyler strolled out of the massive shopping mall.
Abigail was lugging around big shopping bags in both hands, stuffed with clothes, handbags, high-end cosmetics, and other goodies Tyler had just splurged on for her.
They blew over a million bucks in total!
All of this was a little thank-you for what went down in Tyler's Lamborghini last night!
Sure, it was tiring, but totally worth it.
With curious and envious eyes on them from passersby, Abigail and Tyler hopped into the car.
Once inside, Abigail propped her chin with her left hand, raised her phone with her right, and snapped a selfie with the shopping bags on her lap, making sure to get the Lamborghini's interior in the shot.
She quickly edited the photo and posted it on Twitter with the caption: [This world teaches us one thing: women should enjoy their time to the fullest. Only shopping can make us feel satisfied!]
Just seconds after posting, the likes and comments from her friends started pouring in!
[Wow! A limited edition Hermès bag, my dear, who bought it for you?]
[A bit jealous! You always exude such charming allure!]
[Are you in a Lamborghini? I heard a wealthy young man from New York City drove a Lamborghini to Houston yesterday. Did he come just for you?]
Seeing all the comments and likes, Abigail felt a rush of vanity!
She even replied to her friends, saying the car's owner came specifically to see her!
She thought she was on the verge of marrying into a wealthy family and living the high life!
She sneaked a glance at Tyler, who was driving, and the thought grew even stronger.
He was handsome and rich, living the dream life!
She really didn't want to let go of such a catch!
After mulling it over for a moment, Abigail asked, "Mr. Young, what are your plans next?"
Tyler steered the wheel with one hand and adjusted his sunglasses with the other, saying, "Tell me where Barbara is. I want to see her first and find out what my fiancée thinks of me!"
"Huh? You really plan to see her?" Abigail was a bit taken aback, especially since she had just badmouthed Barbara to Tyler yesterday, saying Barbara had a thing with Ryder!
Tyler replied calmly, "Of course! Give me the address first, then find a place to get off and head back on your own. It's not cool to take you to see my fiancée."
This statement made Abigail's face stiffen!
A wave of disappointment washed over her!
She felt like she was just a plaything, used to blow off steam and pass the time, while they only cared about surface-level stuff.
However, Abigail didn't have the guts to voice her dissatisfaction to Tyler.
She didn't want to leave a bad impression on him.
So she played along and nodded, "Okay, Mr. Young, have fun. If you need anything, just let me know, and I'll do my best to help!"
After saying that, she told Tyler that Barbara was often with Sarah and was likely at SR Group.
Then she got out of the car with her stuff at the next intersection.
"You're great. Let's hang out next time!"
Then Tyler floored it, and with a roar from the sports car, he quickly disappeared from sight.
Standing at the intersection, Abigail pouted.
Over at SR Group, it was just after work, and employees were streaming out of the office building.
As they reached the entrance and saw the parking area, their eyes were immediately drawn to it!
Right in the middle of the parking lot was a flashy red Lamborghini.
On the passenger seat was a huge pile of red roses.
Next to the car stood a tall, somewhat handsome guy with sunglasses, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, striking a very brooding pose!
This scene was causing quite a buzz.
"Wow, a Lamborghini! How loaded do you have to be to afford that?"
"Did you see the license plate? It's from New York City! Parked right outside our company, with flowers, he must be here to pick up his girlfriend!"
"Wow! Who in our company is lucky enough to have such an amazing boyfriend? I'm so jealous!"
"If I had a rich boyfriend like that, why would I need to work? I'd travel the world and buy anything I wanted!"
Facing all the stares, Tyler felt a bit proud, but there was a hint of disdain in his eyes.
No wonder people from small cities were so clueless!
Bumpkins!
At that moment, his eyes suddenly locked onto two women walking out of the office building!
One was rocking a Japanese-style JK uniform, with long legs and over-the-knee white socks, giving off a lively and alluring vibe!
Next to her was a woman in professional OL attire, exuding a mature and cool aura!
They were Barbara and Sarah!
Tyler couldn't help but swallow.
He straightened his clothes a bit, then raised his hand to greet the two women walking towards the parking area!
"Hello, beautiful ladies!" Tyler flashed what he thought was a very charming smile!
But to his surprise, Sarah and Barbara seemed to ignore him and walked right past him.
Seeing this, Tyler's expression turned awkward!
He raised his voice and called out, "Hey! Ladies, please wait!"
This time, Sarah and Barbara stopped!
They turned around, looking a bit puzzled.
Barbara pointed at herself and asked, "Are you talking to us?"
Tyler quickly nodded, "Yes!"
"Do we know you?" Barbara asked cautiously.
Tyler cleared his throat and introduced himself, "Miss, I'm Tyler. You should have heard of me. I came here just to see you. To be honest, you are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen! These are for you!"
Saying this, Tyler took out a large bouquet of red roses from the passenger seat and handed it to Barbara!
He wore a confident smile!
He believed Barbara would be stunned and excitedly accept the roses!
He had used this trick countless times in New York City, whether it was with college students, white-collar workers, or even married women!
It always worked!
Because women were drawn to vanity, the more you showed her respect in public places, praised her, and gave her attention, the more she appreciated your gestures of goodwill.
However, to his surprise, facing the roses handed to her, Barbara's face remained expressionless.
She responded indifferently, "Sorry, I'm allergic to pollen. You can keep them for yourself or give them to someone else!"
