Chapter 135 Establishing a Written Agreement!
Lily's aunt covered her cheek, sitting on the ground, staring at her in disbelief!
After a silence of seven or eight seconds, she finally spoke, "You... you dare to hit me?"
Lily's face turned ashen, and she responded coldly, not in a good mood, "You deserved to be hit!"
Although Lily had a carefree personality.
She used to get into fights with her classmates in school.
But that was when she was young and impulsive.
Since she started college, she rarely fought with anyone.
However, Ryder's recent actions have stirred up the long-lost passion in her chest. Without much thought, she immediately took action! Although it was a bit impulsive. But to be honest, this slap really helped relieve her anger!
Her aunt sat on the ground and cursed loudly, saying, "You bitch, how dare you hit your own aunt, not understanding the respect between older and younger generations! You're a beast that has no parental teaching!"
Lily's face instantly darkened. She bent down, grabbed her aunt's shirt collar with her left hand, and delivered two more slaps with her right hand. Two bright red handprints were left on her aunt's cheeks.
Lily said coldly, "Take a moment to reflect. Do you deserve to be my elder? My father's hard-earned money was almost all sucked dry by your family in his lifetime! After he died, none of you even visited once! From that moment on, our family cut off all ties with you. Yet, you still have the audacity to come demanding his insurance money and the house, all of which were left by my father for us and have nothing to do with you!"
Lily's words made perfect sense. But her aunt was not a person to be trifled with.
She still sneered and stubbornly said, "So what if it was your dad's money? Before your grandfather died, he specifically instructed your dad to take care of his younger brother in the future and help him whenever possible! Now that Grandpa is gone, your dad should bear the responsibility of taking care of our family! Your parent's divorce means that she is not qualified to inherit his estate, and even though you are his child, you are still just a girl. The house and the inheritance should belong to us, not for you to take away and support other men!"
Hearing this, Ryder was shocked! This shameless and selfish woman may not be much better than Karen! Lily has really been through a lot these years! While feeling emotional, Ryder's grip on the gold necklace in his hand did not weaken!
Veins popped on Marcus's forehead, and he could barely catch his breath. Struggling was futile! As death loomed closer, he finally began to surrender. He slapped the ground with his hand and barely uttered a weak voice, "I... I give up... Release me... Please... please..."
Seeing Marcus giving in, Ryder let go! Marcus, who had obtained a momentary respite, took a deep breath, grateful to have saved his life. He secretly glanced at Ryder, feeling a bit fearful. He didn't expect this bastard to be so young and yet so ruthless in his actions! It was terrifying!
However, even though he had just surrendered, he couldn't accept going back empty-handed! He knew very well that his brother's insurance money and this house were worth at least a million dollars! That's a lot of money.
It's been a long time since he could afford his own house!
Just as Marcus was pondering how to continue asking for money, his wife sitting next to him shouted angrily, "What the hell are you just sitting there for? Can't you see that your wife has been bullied? Teach these two a lesson and defend my honor!"
"I..." Marcus's face showed a hint of bitterness.
He wanted to do that too, didn't he?
But the truth was, with his combat ability, he was no match for Ryder!
"You're useless! Just good at boasting in front of me!"
His wife spat on the ground and turned to Ryder, "Bastard! I want to discuss something with you. You don't seem like a wealthy person to me. I bet you're with Lily, that little slut, for money. How about this, don't get involved in this matter anymore. Once I settle this issue with this little bitch and get the money and the house, I'll give you two thousand dollars. Don't worry about girlfriends, I'll introduce you to someone much better than her, a hundred times better!"
Upon hearing this, Ryder's eye twitched involuntarily!
He thought to himself, this woman really has reached a shameless level, to be able to say something like that!
Seeing Ryder's lack of response, she thought he was intrigued by her words and continued, grinning with her crooked teeth, "It's always right to listen to me, I..."
However, she didn't get to finish her sentence.
Ryder suddenly threw a punch, landing squarely on her mouth!
"Ah! My tooth!!"
One crooked tooth was knocked out and rolled onto the ground, causing her mouth to fill with blood!
Ryder shook his slightly sore right hand, reprimanding, "Don't lump me together with someone like you! I'll reiterate once again, the money and the house belong to Lily and her mother. If you two say another word, don't blame me if something happens to you both tonight!"
At this moment, a cold gleam flickered in Ryder's eyes, revealing a fierce momentum!
This terrified Marcus and his wife, their voices trembling, "What...what do you mean?"
Ryder licked his lips, his tone dark, "The kitchen knife hasn't been used to chop meat in a long time. Do you understand what I mean now?"
Marcus's eyelids twitched.
He thought, "Could this bastard be some kind of escaped murderer?"
Right now, his legs felt weak and he couldn't even stand properly, "This...this is a society governed by law. Are you daring enough?"
Ryder shrugged indifferently, "One person for the lives of two, not a bad deal! Do you want to try?"
"No, no, no!" Marcus quickly waved his hands, "I was wrong! Please don't do anything rash! You're still young, don't walk the path of crime!"
As he spoke, he discreetly exchanged glances with his wife.
The latter, covering her still bleeding mouth, couldn't maintain her arrogance anymore.
With a hint of defeat, she said, "Please, don't take offense. We don't want the money and the house anymore, alright?"
"Originally, it wasn't yours anyway!" Ryder's eyes narrowed, "Just saying you don't want it isn't enough. Write out a document right now, in case one day you two change your minds and come and bother me. I don't like it!"
Marcus and his wife exchanged a glance, hesitated for a few seconds, and nodded simultaneously. After all, their lives were more important.
Ryder asked Lily to bring paper and pen and had them write a statement, acknowledging the insurance money and house as Lily and her mother's, promising not to ask for more in the future. They signed it and used Marcus's wife's blood from her mouth to leave a handprint.
"Now that the statement is written, can we leave?" Marcus asked nervously. A harmless smile appeared on Ryder's face as he brought another paper in front of them and casually said, "Who said you only need to write one statement?"
