Chapter 459 Framing

Andy's arrival with the cops had everyone in the room buzzing. They wondered why he'd brought the police along.

Sandra, looking puzzled, furrowed her brow and asked, "Andy, where have you been? And why are the police here?"

Andy stepped into the room, took a quick look around, and said calmly, "Sandra, I think Grandma was murdered."

Sandra's face went pale. "What are you talking about?"

Andy kept his serious look. "I mean, someone killed Grandma."

Lawrence stood up, trying to keep his cool. "Andy, stop with the wild accusations. I was there when she passed. She wasn't murdered. I know you're having a hard time accepting her sudden death, but we need to focus on her funeral right now."

Andy smirked. "Sure, Lawrence. Everyone's busy with the funeral, so no one's questioning you as Grandma's killer. Now you can inherit the Johnson family's assets and become the head of the family."

The room went silent. Everyone was in shock, especially Lawrence, who looked panicked. He snapped, "Andy, what are you saying? I would never harm my mother! How can you say that? That's slander!"

Andy shot back, "Slander? Defamation? Let's talk about that will you mentioned. Why do you always carry ink pads with you? Did you plan this all along?"

Lawrence was caught off guard and didn't know what to say.

Andy pressed on, "And why did you go out of your way to send my dad and me away tonight, leaving you alone with Grandma? What was your plan?"

Andy stepped closer, eyes locked on Lawrence. "And are you sure Grandma was with you the whole time, making a will? Because the nurse on duty said she saw you leave, looking panicked. How do you explain that?"

Everyone turned to Lawrence, wondering if Andy was onto something.

Lawrence, feeling the pressure, got nervous. He had planned to kill Heather but hadn't succeeded before being interrupted. He never thought they'd suspect him.

So, he denied it fiercely, pointing at Andy. "Don't accuse me without proof! I didn't harm her! If you think I did, show me the evidence!"

Andy replied, "Oh, I've got evidence."

He sneered and turned to the cops behind him. "I think Lawrence yanked out the ventilator tube, making my grandma suffocate. Check the fingerprints on the tube and Lawrence's ink pad. If my grandma's prints were on the ink pad, she pressed it herself. If not, it means the will was signed after she died. Whatever the truth is, we need to find out what really happened to my grandma."

Lawrence's face paled. He never thought Andy would turn on him like this, especially with such a solid argument. Some of the details Andy mentioned were spot on.

The cops, taking Andy's lead, quickly moved in, sealing off the scene and gathering evidence.

Lawrence, Andy, and the others were taken to the police station for more questioning.

The police worked fast, and by around 3 AM, they had lifted fingerprints from the ventilator tube and the ink pad box.

Just as Andy predicted, Lawrence's prints were on the ventilator tube, and those on the ink pad box were the only ones.

With this evidence, Lawrence's story fell apart under police questioning. He was visibly shaken.

So, they decided to detain him for further investigation.

By 5 AM, Andy was back home from the police station. As he walked towards the gate, a cold, triumphant smile played on his lips.

He had used the situation at the hospital to blame Lawrence for everything. Even though Lawrence was his uncle, Andy didn't care; he just wanted one thing—the head of the Johnson family.

He took a deep breath, looking at the mess in the yard, feeling like the Johnson family's glory days were over. There was a sense of bitterness. If it weren't for Ryder, none of this would have happened.

"Andy!" a voice called out.

He turned to see Sandra walking out of the hall. "Sandra, when did you get here?"

Sandra's eyes were red from crying. She sighed, "I haven't slept since what happened to Heather. I came back to sort out her old clothes. We need to get the funeral arrangements done."

She glanced at the black coffin in the yard, feeling emotional. In one day, they had gone from a birthday celebration to planning a funeral. The coffin, meant as a birthday gift, was now being used for real. It was both ironic and tragic.

Andy stepped forward, looking serious. "The police have found the truth. I promise. Lawrence won't get away with this."

Sandra nodded firmly. "I won't forgive him. Andy, the Johnson family is in chaos right now. If this keeps up, we'll fall apart. From now on, it's up to you to hold us together. I'll always support you."
