Chapter 80 Resignation!
"What did you say?"
Sarah stood up in shock, her face turning pale.
"Isn't it clear what I said?" Andy exhaled a smoke ring and looked extremely pleased with himself. "Don't accuse me of being despicable or shameless. This is business warfare, this is society, Sarah. You're still too naive! Haha!"
Abigail chimed in, mocking, "Sarah is still immersed in her glory! Now that she suddenly sees Andy's tactics and gets easily defeated, of course she can't handle it! How does someone have the audacity to praise her as the most capable woman in the Johnson family? Disgusting!"
They were taunting and provoking Sarah, and Emily couldn't bear it any longer. "The employees in Sarah's company were all promoted by her. We have gone through thick and thin together over the past few years, and we will never be easily bought by you!"
"Not easily bought?" Andy sneered, whistled, and shouted, "Listen up, all the people working downstairs! I'm giving you ten minutes to decide whether to resign or not. Those who want to resign, submit your resignation letters right away. As for those who don't plan on resigning, I won't mention the consequences. Just remember, if you offend me, there won't be a good ending for you in Houston!"
Andy's words immediately caused a commotion downstairs.
Soon, a bespectacled man rushed upstairs, holding a freshly printed resignation letter in his hand.
First, he flashed a flattering smile at Andy and Abigail, then walked up to Sarah and placed the resignation letter on the desk.
"Sarah, thank you for your kindness!"
After saying that, he turned around and stood behind Andy, slightly bending his waist.
Shortly after, another girl with long, dyed yellow hair came upstairs and placed a resignation letter on Sarah's desk.
"Sarah, the world is so big, and I want to go and see it!"
Then she stood behind Andy, looking both nervous and excited.
And another person came upstairs...
Within ten minutes, out of the 30 employees in Sarah's branch office, 23 had already submitted their resignation letters and were standing behind Andy.
The remaining 7 employees were standing beside Sarah in the office, their faces filled with anger.
They all had one thing in common- they were relatively young and had been recruited by Sarah within the past two years after graduating!
Andy looked slightly dissatisfied and glanced at the 7 employees. "Have you guys not considered it well?"
Emily replied angrily, "There's nothing to consider! I am not going to go down the same road as all of you!"
Beside her, the designer Kelly chimed in, "Sarah gave me the opportunity when I couldn't find a job after graduation. Whatever happens, I won't betray her."
Bella, the fiery saleswoman, even scolded the people who had submitted their resignation letters, her face turning red. "Do you have any conscience left? Betraying Sarah at a time like this! Have you forgotten how well Sarah has treated you all?
"Alex! Half a year ago, your son had heart surgery, and Sarah knew about it. Without a second thought, she sent you twenty thousand dollars. Have you forgotten it? Bailey, two months ago, your boyfriend put someone in the hospital, and they wanted to sue him. It was Sarah who used her connections to help you settle it, right?
"Doris, you are even more outrageous. Last month, because of your negligence, the company lost a large order worth $1.5 million. Logically, that kind of mistake should have gotten you fired, but did Sarah even say anything to you? Is this how you repay Sarah's kindness? And the rest of you, ask yourselves honestly, do you not owe Sarah any gratitude?"
Bella's words made them feel somewhat embarrassed. Because the truth was that every single person had received Sarah's care.
And they also acknowledged that Sarah was an exceptional leader.
Seeing this, Andy took a step forward and coldly sneered, "You sure have a sharp tongue! Unfortunately, you're still too young and don't understand the laws of this society! Sarah can barely protect herself now, so why should others think about helping her? Isn't this emotional manipulation?"
With that, he turned around and asked the employees who had submitted their resignation letters, "Am I right?"
Someone responded immediately, "You're right! We are just here to work. Sarah was nice to us because she wanted us to work even harder for her!"
"There are some things I've wanted to say for a long time now. Sarah is not valued in the Johnson family. No matter how hard she tries, she can't get anywhere. It's only sensible to follow Andy. Only with a brilliant boss like Andy can we achieve our life's worth!"
"That's right! Andy and Abigail are outstanding!"
"Sarah and her useless husband deserve to beg!"
Hearing these words, the 7 employees who supported Sarah trembled with anger.
Even if they racked their brains, they couldn't have imagined that their colleagues, with whom they had been working closely for years, would turn out to be like this!
They didn't even have a shred of basic shame!
"That's enough!"
Sarah interrupted the mocking voices of those people.
Her eyes were slightly red, and she forced herself to smile as she addressed everyone. "I'm sorry for giving you so much to complain about. It's my fault for not doing well enough. Since you all have better choices, I won't stop you! Please leave!"
Upon hearing this, Andy sneered, "Sarah, don't make yourself look pitiful, as if we're all bullying you. No one will sympathize with you! I find it disgusting!"
Abigail said sarcastically, "Since Sarah is letting us go, we should respect her. After all, she's in charge here for the time being. But in two days, this place will be turned into a storage room, and I'll arrange for her to clean the toilets! Let's see how arrogant she'll be then."
Laughter erupted from the people behind them.
Sarah pursed her lips in grievance, unable to say a word.
Andy waved his hand. "Let's go! Today I'm in a good mood. I'll treat you all to a feast, and starting tomorrow, your salaries will be increased by 50%!"
The group surrounded Andy and Abigail as they walked out of the office.
Just as they were about to descend the stairs, Ryder, who had been silent for a while, squinted his eyes and smiled as he said to everyone, "In two days, when you come back begging, don't blame me for refusing you heartlessly."
