Chapter 474 Have a Good Meal

As soon as Jacob finished his words, the room went dead silent.

The legendary Theodore was actually coming here! But why?

Seeing the confusion on everyone's faces, Jacob smirked and explained, "You guys have no idea. I've been working for Theodore for over twenty years, mostly out of town. I came back to Jakarda City six months ago to handle loans. The money you borrowed? It's all from Theodore! A million bucks isn't chump change, so of course, he has to come in person!"

Everyone's faces turned ghostly pale.

Especially Deborah and Mario, who were shaking like leaves, their lips turning purple.

So, the person they owed money to was Theodore! If they had known, they would've rather starved than borrowed money as borrowing from Theodore was like making a deal with the devil.

Louis stood there, drenched in sweat, knowing he was fucked up. Who would've thought that pretending to know Theodore would lead to this? And the guy he was talking to was actually Theodore's right-hand man!.

It was all Luna's fault. If it weren't for her relatives, if it weren't for her bragging, he wouldn't be in this mess. As he thought this, he turned increasingly angry.

Suddenly, he turned around and kicked Luna in the stomach. She fell to the ground, hitting her head on the sofa and feeling a sharp pain. She was stunned for several seconds.

Luna finally snapped out of it, angrily pointing at Louis and yelling, "Louis! Are you crazy? Why did you kick me?"

Louis glared at her and shouted, "I can find plenty of vain women. We're done, and from now on, we owe each other nothing!"

Luna was dumbfounded, her mind blank. Just a minute ago, everything was fine, and now he was breaking up with her. She couldn't believe it.

Luna quickly stood up, grabbed Louis's arm, and screamed, "What did you say? We've had sex so many times, and now you want to break up with me?"

Without thinking, Louis slapped her across the face. He looked at her with disgust and said coldly, "You're just a slut! I feel disgusted even being with you. Get lost!"

He straightened his clothes and smiled at Jacob, "Jacob, this is all a misunderstanding. The debt has nothing to do with me. If you have any issues, deal with them. I have something to do, so I'll be leaving now. I'll treat you and your men to drinks another day!"

With that, Louis turned to leave.

Lily's relatives, who witnessed this, were all stunned by Louis's sudden change in attitude. Didn't he say he had a lot of influence in Jakarda City and could handle anything?

Just hearing Theodore's name had Louis shaking in his boots. The relatives' expectations of him had plummeted.

"Are you even a man? What happened to all that big talk?"

"We've been duped!"

"Louis, you must be joking, right? You can come up with that million dollars, can't you?"

Hearing their words, Louis turned quite furious, but he didn't dare to show it, just trying to head out.

Just as Louis reached the door, Jacob's voice cut through the tension, "Where do you think you're going?"

Louis's body stiffened. He turned around with a forced smile. "I'm going home. My mom's waiting for me to have dinner! I gotta go!"

"Well, I don't think you can leave." Jacob grinned wickedly, walked up to Louis, put a hand on his shoulder, and pulled him back into the room. "Theodore's coming soon, and you said you're his good friend. You should have a meal together, right?"

Louis's mouth went dry. He knew once Theodore showed up, it wouldn't be a meal, just a beating. But he had no choice but to stay put and think of a way to handle Theodore when he arrived.

While he was deep in thought, Jacob's phone rang.

As he answered, his tone turned respectful. "Theodore! We're in room 601, you can come straight here. Don't worry, everyone's here, no one can escape! Okay! Got it!"

Jacob hung up and pinched Louis's cheek mockingly, "Theodore will be here soon. You two are good friends, right? Enjoy the reunion!"

Louis forced a smile that looked more like a grimace. He felt like he was about to meet his end.

Lily's relatives paled, completely lost.

Two minutes later, footsteps echoed in the hallway. The door swung open, and a group of people walked in, surrounding a man in a black suit—the feared Theodore of Jakarda City.

As Theodore entered, Jacob and his men quickly stepped forward, bowing respectfully, "Hello, Theodore."

Theodore nodded casually. He looked at Jacob and asked, "Jacob, where is that couple who owes money? The two pinned on the ground?"

Jacob nodded. "Yes, Theodore."

Theodore turned around, sat on the sofa, and glanced at Deborah and Mario, who were being held down. He grinned, showing a mouthful of gold teeth. "Got any last words?"

Deborah and Mario's widened their eyes in fear. They struggled to lift their heads and looked at Theodore, pleading, "Theodore! Please don't kill us! We'll pay the money back, or we can give you something else! Just spare us!"

Theodore raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Interesting, what can you offer in exchange for a million dollars?"

Deborah grinned slyly and pointed in Lily's direction. "Theodore, do you think she's beautiful?"
