Chapter 51 Ryder's Scheme
Ryder's words left everyone present stunned. They didn't quite understand what he meant.
Tony raised his head, his eyes filled with confusion.
Ryder looked around at everyone and spoke, "Just now Joseph said that he could take responsibility for his son's mistake. So I'm giving him this opportunity!"
"Your son crashed into my sister and caused an accident. Whether it's an apology or monetary compensation, I don't care! Because all I want is simple."
"I need someone from the Smith family to also be involved in a car accident! Only then will I feel a sense of balance in my heart! You may think I'm nitpicking, but these are the rules! The rules of seeking revenge!"
Joseph felt his breathing quicken. The thing he feared the most was about to happen!
Ryder took out his phone and played a video.
This video was the surveillance footage of Ava being hit by Sam while drunk driving. It was also the pain that Ryder couldn't forget.
His tone became heavy as he said, "You two select someone to play the main role in this car accident. Tony will be the confirmed driver."
"As for the speed of the car, I hope it won't be slower than Sam’s car when it crashed into my sister. If I'm not satisfied with the speed, you may have to film it again, and it may be a bit more challenging for you!"
These words left Joseph, Sam, Tony, and the others devastated.
This was not a program performance! It was clearly a demand for them to die!
But so what? Even if they were unwilling, they could only keep it in their hearts.
In the face of absolute power, all resistance and objections were futile.
They knew it very well when Arthur personally intervened.
By then, even seeking a dignified death had become a luxury.
So Joseph and Tony could only bow their heads and thank Ryder. They thanked him for not exterminating them!
Ryder smirked coldly and said, "I hope the first news I see tomorrow morning is exactly what I've been hoping for with this program, otherwise..."
He didn't finish his sentence and walked out of the private room with Arthur, George, and all his subordinates.
In the spacious private room, only the three uncertain fellows were left behind.
Downstairs, Ryder got into Arthur's Rolls-Royce, accompanied by George.
At this moment, George couldn't contain his joy.
Being able to ride in a car owned by a super big shot like Arthur was not something an ordinary person could do!
If it weren't for Ryder, no matter how hard he tried, he would have never had this opportunity.
Rolls-Royce was driving in the dark. Arthur respectfully asked, "Mr. Clark, may I know what your plans are next?"
Ryder squinted and replied, "After the incident with the Smith family, no matter how much trouble they go through, there will be a large amount of property and resources left behind. Keep an eye on it for me, I may need it in the future!"
"Yes!" Arthur nodded.
Ryder continued, "What happened tonight needs to be kept confidential!"
Arthur nodded. "Mr. Clark, please rest assured, no one else will know the truth except us!"
Ryder stretched and smiled, "Other than that, there's nothing else for now. Anyway, thank you for helping tonight. I'll treat you to a meal later. Tonight might not be possible, I have to go to the hospital to see my wife first!"
George nodded with a smirk.
Arthur had some thoughts in his mind. He had fought in the business world for decades and had seen countless people.
Tonight was the first time he had met Ryder, and the time spent together was less than an hour.
However, even in this short period, he had already formed a deep impression of Ryder. So young, yet so meticulous in his actions.
With just a few interconnected tactics, he destroyed the Smith family that had been entrenched in Houston for many years, and Tony also suffered a heavy blow. Everything seemed so effortless.
This calmness and confidence were hard to come by, not only among the younger generation but also among the majority of wealthy people his age.
Even more rare was his decisiveness in dealing with enemies.
It may have seemed excessive to others, but in Arthur's eyes, this was exactly the potential required to become a business tycoon!
Indecision would never yield good results!
Ryder truly deserved the praise his father had given him as an important figure related to influential people.
It seemed that Arthur needed to leave a good impression on him in the future.
Ryder asked Arthur to send him to the hospital and then drove back himself. George was also ordered by Ryder to go back.
After all, he was going to the hospital to see his wife and didn't want to be surrounded by so many people.
Ryder came to the bedside of Sarah's hospital bed and sat down.
By now, Sarah had finished her glucose IV and was asleep. Her perfectly beautiful face looked a bit pale and sickly, which saddened Ryder.
Over the past three years of marriage, Ryder had observed every word and action from Sarah.
In the eyes of others, she was a strong and capable woman, but in reality, she had always lived a very exhausting life.
Because of the family’s preference for male heirs, she never had the opportunity to showcase herself. Stubbornly, she tried her best to prove and present herself, but the results often turned out contrary to her wishes.
There were several times when Ryder caught her crying alone.
Ryder saw it and felt the pain in his heart. At that time, he had no money, no power.
Now, he won't allow Sarah to be bullied again!
The fate of the Smith family was the proof of his power, money, and influence!
"Ryder... You go quickly... Don't mind me..."
Sarah, who was asleep, suddenly muttered.
She sweated on her forehead, frowned, and clenched her fists as if she was having a nightmare.
Seeing this, Ryder immediately grabbed Sarah's hand and gently said, "Don't be scared, I'm here! Everything is over!"
With that, he pulled out two tissue papers from his left hand and wiped the sweat off Sarah's forehead.
It took a while for Sarah to stabilize a bit, and her breathing became steady.
Ryder sighed.
He thought that what happened a few hours ago must have left her with some psychological shadows.
It would take some time to recover.
"Ryder..."
Suddenly, Ryder heard Sarah whispering something again, but this time her voice was quieter.
He couldn't hear clearly.
Ryder leaned closer to Sarah and continued to listen, with a little expectation in his heart.
"Could it be that Sarah, after seeing me save her tonight, was so moved that she wanted to confess to me in her dream?" Ryder thought.
Just when Ryder was filled with anticipation, Sarah added the following sentence, "You're just a fool..."
Ryder helplessly rolled his eyes.
"If she won't thank me, fine, but she still scolds me in her dreams?"
He tucked the blanket for Sarah, then lay on the bedside, holding Sarah's hand, and fell asleep in no time, a happy smile appearing on his lips.
