Chapter 619 The Time Has Come
The little mess at the gate finally got sorted out.
But on the way to the wedding, following the road signs, Sarah seemed a bit off. She was gripping Ryder's hand tight, her face a little pale. Clearly, she was still shaken by what just happened.
Ryder, on the other hand, couldn't help but laugh when he thought about it.
Sarah snapped, "What's so funny? You think this is hilarious?"
"Nah, I just think you've got quite the personality."
Sarah shot him a glare and then lowered her voice, "Don't forget why we're here today, and you're still laughing!"
"Alright, alright, I won't laugh! Relax, I've got this, everything will be fine!"
"It's your laid-back attitude that worries me even more!"
"Worrying won't help, just let things play out."
"Fine, I'll trust you for now!" Sarah pouted, looking annoyed.
Soon, Ryder, Sarah, and Rex arrived at the wedding venue. It was an outdoor wedding, right on a big green lawn in front of an old church. The whole thing was super fancy, like something out of a royal wedding.
They found their seats in the viewing area. Gradually, all the seats filled up. At the back and sides, there were red lines marking off the area, and outside those lines were reporters with cameras, all trying to get the best shot.
The scene was grand.
Seeing all this, Sarah felt a bit calmer. The more people there were, the more public opinion there would be. When Tyler's cheating video played, it would definitely cause a stir!
Ideally, the Young family would call off the engagement because of the video. But Barbara would definitely blame her as the older sister.
What puzzled Sarah the most was that she had Kyle give the video to Barbara, but even after watching it, Barbara still wanted to marry Tyler and even kicked Kyle out.
Thinking about this, Sarah frowned again. She felt more and more uneasy. She had a feeling that disrupting the wedding today wouldn't be that simple.
"Are you sure there's no problem?" Sarah asked Ryder again, still uneasy.
Just then, a morning breeze blew by. Ryder smiled, "Don't worry. The time has come."
"Whatever!" Sarah said irritably, still not reassured.
She added, "If things get exposed later, just say it was all my idea!"
Hearing this, Ryder felt a warmth in his heart. He repeated, "Don't worry, everything will be fine!"
But this time, Sarah didn't respond. Mainly because Anthony from the Johnson family had also taken his seat, so she started chatting with him.
Soon, as the guests filled up, the wedding ceremony officially began. It was presided over by a priest. At the center of the stage stood Oliver and Tyler, the two grooms, waiting for their brides to arrive.
The priest first introduced the romantic love story between Oliver from the Weaver family and Abigail from the Johnson family. Meanwhile, Abigail, surrounded by the Johnson family, bridesmaids, and flower girls, walked towards Oliver at the center of the stage in a luxurious wedding dress.
During this, a big screen at the center of the stage played a video of the couple's happy moments. The guests watching below all looked at the romantic scenes in the video with admiration. It was beautiful and heartwarming! It even moved many female guests.
Those who weren't married suddenly wanted to find a man and tie the knot ASAP, and those who were already married wished they could have another wedding!
As Abigail was handed over to Oliver by the Johnson family, the crowd burst into applause.
Next up, it was Tyler and Barbara's turn!
Same process, but as soon as the video started playing, the guests went wild. The reporters outside the red lines were all eyes and ears. Breaking news!
The video kept rolling, showing all sorts of shady clips of Tyler with different men and women. The place went nuts.
Barbara, the bride-to-be, looked at Ryder and Sarah in shock. The videos were just like the ones Kyle had shown her before, but she never thought they'd be played so openly!
"Quiet! Please, everyone, calm down!" Tyler, the man of the hour, stepped up first. Seeing the chaos, he spoke again, "Quiet! Everyone, please calm down!"
Constantine quickly joined in, smiling, "Yes, everyone, please calm down! There must be some misunderstanding here! We apologize for causing such a scene!"
The guests and reporters quieted down a bit, but their eyes were full of curiosity. Misunderstanding? The video was out there! What kind of misunderstanding could there be? But one thing was clear, someone was out to mess with the Young family!
Tyler took over from Constantine, "Originally, I had a team from TT Company record and edit the whole wedding. Let's have the TT staff verify the authenticity of this video!"
TT Company? It was an internationally renowned tech company, famous for its hacking skills and credibility. For them, verifying a video was a piece of cake.
Ten minutes later, the TT staff checked the video and provided a detailed report. It proved the video was fake!
Hearing this, the crowd buzzed:
"What? The video is fake? Someone really wants to mess with the Young family!"
"Tyler's private life is so messy, I thought these videos were real! Did the Young family bribe TT Company?"
"You're overthinking it. TT Company doesn't even respect the big families in the Capital City, why would they care about the Young family?"
"Keep your voices down! You don't want them to hear us."
The Young family then announced, "Everyone, we've caught the person who swapped the video!"
Sure enough, a young guy in a baseball cap was dragged to the center of the stage by two burly bodyguards. Tyler looked at him coldly and asked, "Tell us, why did you do this?"
The young man, shaking in fear, stammered, "If... if I don't tell, what will happen?"
Tyler smirked, "Faking a video that causes a public scandal and damages my reputation, you'll serve a few years in prison!"
"What?" The young man immediately dropped to his knees, his face pale, tears and snot streaming down, "No! I can't go to prison! My wife is in labor and waiting for my life-saving money! Please, let me go! I'll confess! I'll confess everything!"
Tyler nodded. "Speak, who instructed you?"
