Chapter 84 If You Don't Leave Now, I'll Call Someone!

The entrance of The Pint House

Ryder arrived on his electric scooter and parked it next to Sarah's Mazda.

He walked quickly toward the hotel.

"Halt! What are you doing?"

Just as he reached the entrance of the hotel, a male greeter called out to Ryder.

"I need to go inside and find someone," Ryder replied.

But the concierge blocked Ryder's path and looked him up and down. "Do you even know where you are? You can't just casually walk in here! Our hotel has a policy that only allows people with pre-booked reservations inside. If you want to enter the hotel, go home, buy a lottery ticket, and wait for your luck!" he sarcastically remarked.

"Why do you say that?" Ryder asked.

Impatiently, the concierge glanced at Ryder and said, "Isn't it obvious? The Pint House has always been a high-end place where only Houston's upper class can dine. I've been working here for so long, and I've seen too many poor folks with dreams of getting rich wanting to come in. They just want to meet a big shot and get lucky. Judging by your shabby appearance, I can tell you're one of them! So just leave!"

Sighing helplessly, Ryder couldn't understand how society had come to this point.

Although his clothes were not expensive, they were clean and neat. Why would that make him look like trash?

Wasn't it better than those who had no money but a dark heart, intentionally buying expensive items to masquerade as gentlemen?

Suppressing his displeasure, Ryder tried to reason with the concierge. "I repeat, I'm not here to find any big shots. My wife is inside, and I have an urgent matter to discuss with her. Could you please make an exception?"

However, the concierge perceived this attitude as Ryder being guilty. He slightly tipped his nose up, sneered, and said, "Your wife is inside? I've never heard of any young female staff in this hotel having a husband like you. Or is your wife one of our cleaning ladies? By the look of you, it's clear you're a parasite. No wonder you're so well hidden! Hahaha!"

His words immediately sparked laughter from the other concierge staff:

"Now that you mention it, isn't Henry, the son-in-law of the Windsor Group, rumored to have a special skill that can satisfy Elena? That's why he gets to eat a decent meal!"

Ryder didn't care much about what others had to say about him. After all, he had been experiencing too much ridicule and hardship since he was young.

His resilience was strong!

But when the insults and mockery involved Sarah, it crossed the line for Ryder!

His tone turned serious as he said to the concierge staff, "The fact that The Pint House, Houston's most luxurious hotel, has hired you as concierge shows that the human resources department is lacking!"

The concierge staff's faces turned cold. "You bastard, be careful how you speak!"

"In that case, let me warn you as well. By standing here to stop me and by saying what you just said, you have made a big mistake. If you still insist on obstructing me, you will regret it!" Ryder responded with an unpleasant expression.

"Hahaha!"

The concierge staff looked at each other and burst into uncontrollable laughter.

"This is hilarious! I've never seen someone who can show off so well while standing at the entrance of The Pint House!"

"Do you know what consequences there will be for speaking to us with that attitude?"

"I want to see how you make me regret it!" Ryder was about to respond.

Just then, a slightly sharp female voice sounded: "Why are you all arguing here instead of doing your jobs properly?"

A woman in her thirties, wearing a hotel uniform and sporting short hair that reached her ear, walked over.

Her face had a slightly harsh look, making it clear that she wasn't someone easy to approach.

Upon seeing her, the receptionists immediately stood up and respectfully greeted her, "Hello!"

Helen was the head hostess and server at The Pint House, overseeing fifty to sixty staff members, making her a small leader in the hotel.

Her monthly salary was nearly twenty thousand dollars!

Even though she wasn't married yet, Helen believed that with her talents and appearance, she deserved nothing less than a multimillionaire boss.

Thanks to her work connections, she had been involved with several bosses in the past.

However, it always ended with the boss getting tired of her and kicking her away.

As she grew older, the pressure to find love and get married increased!

That's why she blamed this pressure on men, especially those without money!

Helen frowned and asked, "What just happened here? It's so noisy!"

One of the receptionists hurriedly answered, "There was a poor man who claimed his wife was in our hotel and wanted to come in to find her. So we refused him, but he threatened us!"

"I see!" Helen nodded and looked at Ryder with great disdain. She asked, "Is your wife working at our hotel?"

"She's not working; she's just having a meal here!"

"Having a meal here?" Helen clearly didn't believe it and waved her hand impatiently. "Don't joke with us. Our place is not affordable for your type of family. Maybe your wife went somewhere else for a meal. Go find her there!"

"My wife's car is parked here, and she's here. Why shouldn't I be allowed in to find her?" Ryder explained.

Helen sneered, "You insist that your wife is here! Fine, let me ask you which private room she is dining in and who she's with. If you can't answer, don't blame me for calling security!"

Ryder replied, "My wife is dining with someone named Arturo Morrison. They just went in less than twenty minutes ago!"

Arturo?

Helen suddenly froze!

In fact, she was quite familiar with Arturo. They had gone out and spent the night together in the past because Arturo once gave her a ten thousand dollar tip for a meal and drinks.

Arturo had called her this morning, specifically booking a room and inviting a beautiful woman to dine with him.

He even instructed her to not disturb them!

With her experience, Helen certainly knew about Arturo.

What was his intention?

She couldn't help but sigh that another girl was about to suffer!

After all, she had experienced his power, and it left a deep impression!

She didn't want to experience it again.

That's why Helen never thought of seducing Arturo.

She just didn't expect that woman's husband to come looking for her!

"You, a useless person, dare to disturb Mr. Morrison?!" she thought.

Helen didn't respond kindly to Ryder. "Mr. Morrison? Never heard of him! Get lost, or else I'll call someone!"
