Chapter 32 Let's Smash It!
"Miss Johnson, I'm sorry. Mr. Clark is not in the company. Maybe you'll meet him on the day of the bidding!"
"Oh Okay!" Sarah felt a bit disappointed.
Standing up proactively, Sarah politely said, "Then I won't disturb you any further, Vice President. Goodbye!"
Sophia also stood up, and they shook hands.
"Let me walk you out," Sophia said as she escorted Sarah out of the office. Near the entrance, Ryder was squatting there, playing a game called 'King of Glory’.
Sarah felt a bit embarrassed and whispered to Ryder, kicking his leg lightly, "Vice President, it's enough that you brought us here. You've worked hard!"
Ryder scratched the back of his head and quit the game. Sarah tugged at Ryder's sleeve, pulling him into the elevator. She finally breathed a sigh of relief when the elevator doors closed. Thank goodness Ryder wasn't taken to the Vice President's office, otherwise, it would have been really embarrassing.
Little did she know, all of this was orchestrated by Ryder. Even though he knew the outcome, he still asked knowingly, "So, how did the discussion go?"
Sarah rolled her eyes at Ryder and then proudly responded, "I handled it, of course, no problem!" Ryder looked unexpectedly excited and exclaimed, "I knew it, you're the best!"
"Of course," Sarah raised her chin slightly, showing both charm and innocence. For a moment, Ryder stared at her, feeling a bit dazed. Sarah sighed softly and said, "Actually, today went so smoothly thanks to Mr. Clark. I don't understand why he would help me when I don't even know him."
Ryder chuckled, "Maybe it's because you're beautiful!"
Sarah glared at him with irritation, "Mr. Clark manages such a big company, he's definitely an outstanding young man. Do you think he's as shallow as you?"
Ryder smirked, thinking to himself that he truly is that shallow! Not only shallow but also lusting after her!
"Enough chit-chat with you! Now that I've secured the qualification, let's see what they have to say!" Sarah waved her fist in excitement as she walked out of the company's gate.
Andy and Abigail were sitting in the car, sticking bandaids on their faces in front of the mirror.
"They're a bunch of savages! Bastards! They've swollen up my face! I just had a beauty treatment last month!"
"Once Andy and I become successful, I'll make those rotten scoundrels pay!" Just as they were talking, Andy looked up and spotted Ryder and Sarah walking out of the gate.
Sarah quickly approached the car and opened the bidding qualification document, saying to the two in the car, "Open your eyes wide and take a look at this. What is it?"
The two leaned forward, their eyes widening, "How is this possible? How did Maple Real Estate give you the bidding qualification?"
After all, Sarah hadn't been inside for more than twenty minutes. Obtaining the qualification so quickly didn't make sense.
However, the official stamp on the document was clear, so it couldn't be fake. This qualification document was real!
Ryder leaned against the car window, smiling slightly, "Surprised, aren't you? Astonishing, isn't it?"
Andy's face turned pale, unable to utter a word.
Abigail, with a tough mouth, retorted, "So what if I secure a qualification spot? It's nothing special! I couldn't care less!"
Ryder nodded, "Miss Abigail, with your noble status, it's natural that you don't care. But when it comes to a bet, we can't go back on our word! Please, start your performance!"
Abigail's face drastically changed. She agreed to the bet because she didn't believe she could lose in the first place.
But she didn't expect to fall into Ryder's trap again! Abigail wouldn't easily agree to something that trampled upon her dignity.
Blatantly, she thickened her skin and said, "What bet? I don't know anything about it. Have you ever heard of it?"
Andy, standing nearby, quickly understood and pretended to be clueless, "Ryder! What are you talking about? Betting, betting, betting... All you think about is gambling!"
"You don't admit it?" Ryder raised an eyebrow and took out his phone, playing the recorded conversation between him and Abigail. It clearly confirmed the bet they made earlier.
Abigail's lips twitched twice in anger, "Ryder, I never expected you to be so scheming."
Ryder smiled faintly, "You flatter me."
After speaking, he took the car keys out while Andy wasn't paying attention, not giving them a chance to escape suddenly.
"Beautiful Abigail, get out of the car and perform!"
Abigail was infuriated and shouted at Ryder, "I won't get out! What can you do to me?"
Saying that, she quickly closed and locked the car window.
With a smug and provocative expression, she said, "Useless fool, aren't you so capable? I'll sit right here. If you have the guts, bring me out and I'll show you!"
She even raised her middle finger at Ryder!
Sarah sighed and advised Ryder, "Let it go. If you keep provoking her, you'll only end up at a disadvantage. It's already fulfilling enough that we secured the bidding qualification. Don't get caught up with her!"
Ryder shook his head, "If we couldn't secure the bidding qualification today, do you think she would let it go so easily?"
Sarah forced a smile. With Abigail's personality, if she finds one weakness, she'll pounce on it like a mad dog. How could she let it go?
Ryder's expression became slightly serious, "I'm only doing this today to teach her a lesson. My beloved, I won't allow anyone to insult you. If anyone crosses the line, they will face severe consequences!"
Abigail, inside the car, burst into laughter, "Ryder, are you really not a reincarnation of a dumbass? You can say such cheesy lines? I'll just sit here, waiting for your punishment."
Andy also sneered, "Kid! If you're so capable, why don't you break the window and take her out? Ha, just a reminder, this Mercedes costs over a million, even if you sell yourself, you can't afford it!"
Seeing the two of them echoing each other, Ryder didn't waste any more words and turned to the security room at the entrance of Maple Real Estate waved for attention!
The security captain hurried over with around ten people in tow!
Seeing this, Andy was startled, "Ryder... what are you planning? Why are these people listening to you?"
Ryder just smiled and didn't answer.
But from the respectful looks of the security staff, it was clear that they were under Ryder's command!
Abigail suddenly realized, "I get it now, Ryder. You must have become the head of the security department at Maple Real Estate, managing these rude security guards! No wonder they let you and Sarah in. There must be some insider information! Otherwise, we would have gotten the qualification for the bid long ago!"
Ryder didn't want to reveal his identity, so he played along, "That's right, I am the head of the security department. So what?"
Abigail crossed her arms and scoffed, "I knew it! Ever since these past few days, you've become so arrogant, obviously climbing up the ladder at Maple Real Estate! But, let's be frank, although it sounds nice to be the head of security, in reality, you're just someone else's lapdog. No, you're the lapdog of a group of lapdogs!"
"Who the hell do you think you're talking to?" the security captain bellowed, glaring.
Abigail smirked, "What's it to you? You security guards are nothing but a group of outcasts looked down upon by society. Who are you yelling at? If you have the guts, try smashing my car and dragging me out. Can you do that? Can you afford to compensate me?"
The security team's faces turned unpleasant.
Although they didn't have high education and didn't make much money, they still worked hard without stealing or robbing! How did they become abandoned scum in society?
But they felt helpless against Abigail's arrogance and provocation. After all, the Mercedes-Benz had been damaged, and they really couldn't afford to compensate!
However, at this moment, Ryder stepped forward, lightly tapped the car's hood with his finger, and calmly said, "Since she insists so strongly, we must give her face. Let's smash this car. I will take the blame!"
