Chapter 311 I Just Like Your Body!
Harper went pale with fear!
When she was close to Arturo, she got whatever she wanted. But after he went abroad, she never heard from him again. She thought something bad had happened to him. Now Ryder said Arturo was doing fine? She didn't buy it! That place was a dump; no way he was okay. Arturo must be suffering!
No way she'd go there, even if he killed her! But Ryder's words meant he could make it happen. Harper had to back down. She quickly changed her tune and said sweetly, "Ryder, we were classmates. No need to be so harsh, right? You just want that thing, don't you? I'll give it to you now!"
She pulled a USB drive from her purse and handed it to Ryder. "All the photos are here, none on my phone. Is it enough?"
Ryder was impressed by Harper's quick change of attitude. He knew she was just pretending and actually hated him. He took the USB drive and handed it to Blair. "Keep it safe!"
Blair, still sweating and emotional, took the USB drive. He remembered Ryder as a student. As the homeroom teacher, he hadn't supported Ryder, especially when Ryder was falsely accused of theft. Back then, he only cared about students with good grades or those who gave him gifts. He was particularly hard on Ryder.
But now, in his darkest moment, the student he once despised was the one helping him. "I'm sorry," Blair said, choked with guilt. He didn't know what else to say.
Ryder waved it off. "No need to apologize. I'm not helping because you were my teacher, but because I don't want a father to suffer for his daughter."
Blair nodded, eyes red, feeling even more guilty and grateful.
Ryder then asked Harper, "You said there are no other backups besides the photos on the USB drive, right? What if I find out you're lying?"
Harper quickly replied, "If I'm lying, I'll get hit by a car when I go out, okay?"
Ryder shook his head. "No, if you get hit by a car, the driver would be unlucky for no reason. If you want to die, don't drag others down with you!"
Harper's eye twitched, and she cursed Ryder silently but kept smiling. "Then what do you mean?"
Ryder squinted and said, "Simple. If you're lying, not only will I send you abroad, but I'll also make sure you have some fun with a man who has AIDS! How does that sound?"
Harper trembled, her eyelids twitching wildly. Even though she had a wild lifestyle, she was terrified of diseases!
Harper nodded, relieved that she had told the truth. If she hadn't, she'd be in big trouble!
Ryder could tell what she was thinking. He turned to Blair and said, "She probably didn't lie. Take the USB drive and destroy it. Also, consider getting your kid to see a psychologist to avoid any lasting trauma."
"Okay! I'll go right away!" Blair bowed to Ryder, then thanked Lily and Charlotte. Wiping a tear, he left.
Daniel, looking miserable, asked, "Can you let me go now? I didn't recognize you. I was really wrong!"
Ryder sighed. "It doesn't matter if you admit your mistake or want revenge later. But if you have issues, come at me directly. Don't use dirty tactics, or you'll see what having no bottom line really means."
Daniel gulped and nodded. Ryder signaled Rex, who released Daniel's hand. Daniel, clutching his aching wrist, called his guys to leave.
"Stop!" Ryder called out. Daniel froze and turned back, cautiously asking, "Bro, any other instructions?"
Ryder glanced at the overturned tables and the onlookers. "Since you guys damaged the restaurant and disrupted everyone's meal, shouldn't you compensate? At least cover everyone's bill. You said you're a man of principle, so show it now."
"Of course! I'll pay! I'll compensate!" Daniel replied awkwardly, but inside, he was hurting. Despite his tough image, he didn't have much cash on hand. He turned to his underlings. "Quickly, take out all the money you have to compensate everyone!"
The two underlings, looking miserable, emptied their pockets and even asked their girlfriends. They only had a little over seventy dollars, counting every penny. It wasn't enough.
What to do now? Suddenly, Daniel had an idea. He asked Harper, "Do you have any money? Hurry up and take it out!"
Harper shook her head quickly. "No! Not a single penny!"
Daniel's face darkened, and he slapped her. "You ungrateful bitch, still pretending to be poor? I've spent at least hundreds on you in the past half month. Just yesterday, I gave you one thousand dollars for a new phone, and now you have no money?"
Harper, holding her cheek and crying, retorted, "Daniel, how dare you hit me? Didn't you say you loved me the most?"
Daniel, with a look of disgust, said, "I just liked your body for fun, but now I'm sick of it! The money I spent on you wasn't a gift; it was a loan! Pay it back quickly, or I'll take you to Radiant Revive Spa and sell you as a prostitute to work off the debt!"
Harper felt her vision go dark. It was unbearable.
