Chapter 558 Dad, you're finally here!
As soon as Gregory finished speaking, the security guards rushed forward.
One of the security guards had a snake tattoo on his neck, clearly a thug.
The tattooed guard pulled a dagger from his pocket.
He held the knife in one hand and a baton in the other.
Pointing the knife towards Rex, he said, "I'll handle this idiot, you guys go beat up those two gigolos."
But before he could finish, Rex darted forward like lightning, landing right in front of the tattooed guard.
Both of Rex's hands shot out, clamping down on the guard's wrists with pinpoint accuracy.
A sharp twist!
The guard's wrists popped out of place, and the knife and baton clattered to the floor.
The tattooed guard wailed, "Ah! My hands are broken! How dare you do this to me, Mr. Baker will kill your whole family!"
"Your breath stinks!" Rex wrinkled his nose in disgust.
The next second, he swung the tattooed guard's left arm and threw him straight out.
The tattooed guard flew back and crashed into a wall!
The wall cracked, and the tattooed guard's body was deeply embedded!
Is this even human strength?
It was painful to watch!
The guard's eyes bulged, his mouth opening to let out a scream, but he just rolled his eyes and blacked out.
Yet, the searing pain jolted him back to consciousness, his face twisted in agony.
It was a living nightmare!
At this moment, the tattooed guard looked at Rex with complete fear.
This wasn't an idiot at all.
He was a demon!
The other security guards, who had been aggressive, were now dumbfounded.
If someone with fighting skills was beaten like this, they, who had no skills, would be seeking death if they stepped forward!
Realizing this, all the security guards dropped their batons, walked to the other side of the wall, squatted down, and held their heads with their hands.
Ryder was very pleased with Rex's performance.
But why was Rex still walking towards the tattooed guard?
He quickly shouted, "Rex, don't be impulsive!"
Rex responded with an "Oh" and returned to Ryder's side.
He explained, "Ryder, it's not my fault, his breath really stinks, it's making my head dizzy!"
Ryder couldn't help but laugh.
On the other side, only Gregory was left!
He stomped his feet in anger. "You bunch of cowards!"
Then he looked at Ryder and the others again, baring his teeth. "If you have the guts, don't run, I'll call my dad right now!"
Ryder didn't flinch, just gave a calm nod. "Go ahead. Make the call."
Gregory gritted his teeth and said, "I want to see if you'll still be this arrogant later! Don't blame me for calling for backup, I'll teach you a lesson."
Ryder picked his ear and showed an impatient expression. "If you're going to call, hurry up!"
Gregory was even more furious. "My hands are broken, how can I hold a phone? You guys are too vicious! You did this on purpose!"
"Wait, your dad's Eli Baker, right?" Ryder pulled out his phone casually.
Gregory froze. "How the hell do you know my dad's name?"
Ryder put his phone on speaker and tossed it to Gregory. "Tell Eli to get his ass over here."
Soon, the call connected.
A gruff voice came through. "Who's this?"
Gregory's heart leapt—it was his dad, Eli.
"Dad! You gotta save me! I'm trapped, and my hands are busted! These guys—one's pretending to be the chairman of Maple Group, and the other's acting like Mr. Wallace! Just bring the heavies, okay? I'm at Harmony Residence, Building 3, Apartment 601 on Sunset Boulevard! Get here now, or I'm toast!"
Gregory hung up and flashed a smug grin, baring his teeth at Ryder and the crew. "My dad's close—he'll be here any minute! You're screwed now!"
Ryder just shrugged, cool as ever. "Aren't you curious how I got Eli's private number?"
"You really think you're that Ryder Clark? Scammers like you can get any number. Did you miss the part where my dad didn't even recognize you? If you were the real deal, he'd have known who you were!" Gregory sneered.
Ryder gave a wry smile and nodded. "Fair point."
Honestly, he'd saved these contacts ages ago but almost never used them. It made sense Eli wouldn't recognize his number.
Gregory smirked, doubling down. "Just wait. In ten minutes, you're toast!"
And sure enough, less than ten minutes later, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed from the stairwell.
A middle-aged man in casual clothes walked up, followed by four burly security guards!
This man was Eli!
The chairman of Passionate Property Management Company!
What made Eli's status even higher was his position as a director of Maple Group!
Unfortunately, although he had some success in his career, his only son Gregory was a playboy!
But even so, Gregory was still Eli's son!
You can't beat a dog without looking at its owner, this was intolerable!
So after receiving this strange call and hearing Gregory's cry for help, he quickly gathered four strong security guards and rushed over.
"I want to see who dares to detain my son," Eli shouted as he pushed open the door.
But the moment he laid eyes on Ryder's youthful face, the words died in his throat.
As a director at Maple Group, Eli had crossed paths with Ryder before.
The first encounter was at Milton's place—right before Milton got thrown behind bars by his own son. After that, the top brass at Maple Group either got promotions or got axed. Luckily, Eli's clean record landed him a promotion. Back then, he'd thought this young Mr. Clark had some serious chops.
The second time was at a high-level Maple Group meeting, where they hashed out the $4 billion funding for Brent. Ryder's decisiveness was jaw-dropping, and the bold gamble he made during the meeting was even more so.
So the first thing he did when he got home was to make Gregory experience life at the grassroots level!
But seeing the current situation, it seemed that Gregory had offended someone he shouldn't have?
Seeing Eli's aggressive arrival, Gregory instantly felt confident.
He quickly ran to Eli's side, feeling extremely wronged. "Dad, you're finally here! Quick, teach these idiots a lesson!"
After saying that, he glared angrily at Ryder and the others!
Like he'd already won!
