Chapter 312 Stand Up for Our Son!

It was around eight in the evening.

Ryder said goodbye to Lily and Charlotte at the restaurant entrance.

Rex drove Ryder back to the Platan Height No. 1 villa.

On the way, Ryder asked, "Did you use to get into fights a lot?"

Rex, a bit embarrassed, smiled. "Rarely. My grandma worried I might accidentally kill someone!"

Ryder nodded, thinking about how Rex had just taught Daniel a lesson at the restaurant. It was like squeezing a rat. In a real fight, Daniel wouldn't last a minute.

Ryder was pleased with how Daniel was handled. He got a good beating and had to pay over four thousand dollars to compensate the restaurant and customers, though the money was extorted from Harper.

From Ryder's experience, Daniel would seek revenge, but he wasn't worried.

Ryder asked, "You've been learning taekwondo from George, right? How's it going?"

Rex scratched his head and laughed. "George introduced me to a skilled taekwondo coach, a black belt. Everything was fine until yesterday..."

"What happened yesterday?"

Rex blushed. "Last night, I accidentally kicked too hard and broke one of his ribs. He's in the hospital and won't be able to teach me for a month. Do you think George will be mad?"

Ryder was stunned. Rex, without formal training, broke a black belt's rib with one kick! How strong was Rex?

After the shock, Ryder said, "Don't worry, George isn't petty. He might be happy to see such strength. I'll talk to him and find you an even better coach. With your talent, you'll become even more formidable with training!"

Rex nodded earnestly. "Ryder, I won't let you down. I'll learn well and protect you so no one dares to hurt you!"

Ryder felt warmth in his heart. Though he and Rex were only distant relatives, they were closer than most.

In a Houston High-End Private Hospital, on the hospital bed, Olivia winced. "Be gentle. My butt hurts!"

A young nurse was applying medicine. If Ryder were here, he'd recognize her as the woman in sunglasses who caused trouble at the pet shop.

After a few minutes, the nurse finished and reminded, "You need to disinfect and change the dressing daily. Be careful not to put pressure on your buttocks, or the wound could reopen."

Olivia waved her off. "Got it! No need to remind me. Get out!"

The nurse nodded and quickly left. As soon as she did, the door opened again.

Olivia's first reaction was to think the nurse had come back to bother her, and she was about to start cursing!

But then she saw a tall, thin man with small eyes and a cigar in his mouth walk in. It was Mark!

Seeing him, Olivia's face lit up with joy, but then tears streamed down as she choked out, "Mr. Davis, you're finally here. I thought I might never see you again!"

Mark walked straight to her bedside and pulled down her pants. After glancing at the wound, he frowned slightly, "What did the doctor say?"

Olivia sniffled, looking very upset. "The doctor gave me a rabies shot and cleaned the wound. He said I just need to rest for a while and I'll be fine! But I'm scared. I've never suffered such a big loss! And Ethan, he was also bitten on the thigh by that vicious dog. If it had been a bit closer, he might have lost his penis! Mr. Davis, you have to get revenge for us!"

Mark squinted slightly, deep in thought. Taking a deep breath, he sat down next to the bed and asked, "Tell me the whole story from the beginning. Don't exaggerate the facts!"

Olivia nodded and recounted everything that happened at the pet store. With Mark's reminder, she didn't dare to exaggerate. She knew Mark couldn't tolerate lies and violators would be severely punished. No exceptions!

She remembered three years ago, Mark had an old friend who got a married woman pregnant. The woman's husband came looking for him. Normally, such a thing wouldn't be a big deal in Mark's circle. It could be settled with money or influence. But Mark's friend denied everything. When Mark found out the truth, he was furious and crippled his friend, throwing him out to beg on the streets!

Many people didn't understand why Mark was so ruthless. Mark explained that in his line of work, he needed absolute trust and loyalty. Any lie was seen as a betrayal, and he had no mercy for traitors.

After listening to Olivia's story, Mark's expression turned grim. "Olivia, I've told you many times. No matter where you are or who you're dealing with, you must always be polite and not overly arrogant! The same goes for raising Ethan. Excessive indulgence will only make him more reckless and cause endless trouble! Just like Kenneth, if I weren't there to handle things, he wouldn't know how many times he could have died by now! So, the main responsibility for this mess lies with you!"

Olivia was stunned. She had thought Mark would immediately take his men to avenge her! But instead, she got a scolding!

"Mr. Davis, you did say that. But still, we can't let Ethan suffer for nothing! Can you really bear it?"

Mark squinted slightly and asked calmly, "So what do you suggest?"

A vicious glint flashed in Olivia's eyes as she replied, "Make that Michael guy a cripple, skin that Doberman of his, and cook it for dog meat stew!"
