Chapter 582 The sister Uncle Ryan mentioned?
Back at the villa, in the living room.
Anna was sobbing, spilling the beans about Ken's cheating ways.
They'd been together for two years.
If she hadn't snooped through Ken's phone recently, Anna would've never known what kind of scumbag he was—he was in a bunch of hardcore porn chat groups; he hooked up with other female artists; he flirted with the makeup artist!
He even had "group sex" with fans in the middle of the night!
Yet he still managed to chat with her, his girlfriend, for at least two hours every night. A real "time management master."
And then, the private detective Anna hired later snapped some pics.
Ken wasn't just sleeping with other women, but men too!
After spilling her story, Anna was a mess.
Barbara listened, fuming. "What a player! A girl's youth is precious, and Ken dared to treat you like this! What a jerk! So you showed up at the Young family's new product launch today to blow the lid off Ken's actions?"
Anna blew her nose and nodded. "That's right! I agreed to be with him because my family was pushing me to get married. But after we got together, even though it was long-distance, Ken treated me well, even flying over in the middle of the night when I was sick."
"But I never thought he would be such a player. Looking back, he probably chose me to fend off the media and fans, to look like a devoted guy! Barbara, you're right; I shouldn't act impulsively. If I want to expose Ken, I need to plan carefully! Otherwise, Ken's fans might think I'm making it up!"
Ryder spoke up, "No worries, the timing is perfect! You can expose Ken's cheating online right now."
Anna and Barbara stared at Ryder in disbelief.
Especially Barbara, who rolled her eyes. "Ryder, don't talk nonsense. Ken has a partnership with the Young family! We can afford to piss off Ken, but not the Young family!"
"I'm not scared of the Young family. Compared to my family, they're nothing. Unfortunately, I had a falling out with them over my marriage. But luckily, I never told Ken I was from the Jones family; otherwise, he would've been even more deceitful!" Anna sighed deeply and then looked at Ryder.
This guy? His face seemed familiar, but she couldn't place him.
She continued, "Ryder, right? What did you mean by what you just said?"
Ryder explained with a smile. "Honestly, I'm also digging up dirt on Ken to use against the Young family."
"So if possible, I think you're the best way in, and for your safety, expose this online! Don't show up in person!"
Listening to Ryder's plan, Anna thought it made sense.
She looked at Ryder. "Alright, I'll write something to post online later! After that, I'll leave the rest to you! I don't ask for much, but I want to ruin Ken's reputation! To show I'm not someone to mess with!"
"Anna! I support you!" Barbara cheered.
Seeing the convo wrapping up, Ryder got up, ready to bounce with Rex.
But Anna called out, "Wait!"
Ryder turned around. "What's up?"
Anna asked, "Have we met before? Or did you live in Capital City as a kid?"
"Nope!" Ryder replied quickly, "Anything else? If not, I gotta get back to the company."
Anna shook her head. "No! Sorry to bother you!"
After Ryder and Rex left.
Barbara nudged Anna, teasing. "Anna, do you have a thing for Ryder too?"
Anna's eyes widened. "What do you mean by 'too'? Oh my, you like Ryder?"
Barbara pouted. "So what if I do? I like my sister Sarah more and don't want to hurt her! But why are you asking about him?"
Anna frowned. "He looks familiar. Kind of like an older brother I knew when I was a kid."
"That's even more impossible! You might not know, but Ryder was previously in a matrilocal marriage with the Johnson family, and his family is from the countryside, while your family is in Capital City. There's no way you could have crossed paths!"
"I must have been mistaken then," Anna said, sounding a bit disappointed.

Ryder and Rex were on their way to the company.
Even Rex could sense that Ryder was a bit off.

Rex muttered, "Everyone has a past. Uncle Ryan once said your dad had lots of women who liked him! Like father, like son! And I noticed today that Anna kept looking at you."

Ryder finally explained, "Actually, Anna is like a sister to me."
"What?" Rex was surprised. "But Ryder, isn't your sister named Ava? Is this sister the kind Uncle Ryan mentioned? Does Sarah know about this?"
Ryder rubbed his forehead. "It's not like that!"
Ryder continued, "She's the biological niece of my birth mother, Emma! But I never use blood relations to measure closeness. Anna had a good relationship with me when we were kids. She's kind-hearted but naive. I never expected her to be forced into marriage by the Jones family and to run into a player!"
"Oh, I see! Anna is a friend! So you were serious earlier because you were thinking about how to punish the player?" Rex finally got it. "Take your time thinking, Ryder. I won't bug you!"
Ryder took a deep breath, nodded, and then looked out the window.
His brows furrowed, his gaze serious, his expression stern.
Capital City, the Jones family? Anna?
Ryder suddenly felt he was getting closer to uncovering the truth about his father John's death.
Maybe soon he would go to Capital City to meet his birth mother, Emma Jones, in person.
But before that, he needed strong backing and support.
And the immediate priority was to help his sister Anna get revenge and punish Ken!
It would be best to take this chance to eliminate the Young family of Aurora City, a major problem, like killing two birds with one stone.
