Chapter 46 No One Can Save The Smith Family!
Inside a spacious private room, a young man was sitting on the sofa, playing games on his phone. Standing beside him was a tall and imposing bald man, emitting a strong aura. This person was George.
Around the sofa, there were more than twenty henchmen, all under George's command.
The restroom door at the far end of the room was wide open, revealing over ten burly men wearing only underwear. They all had bruises on their faces, huddling together with expressions filled with fear. They were Sam's bodyguards.
Of course, the most attention-grabbing sight in the room was the wall directly in front of the sofa.
The original LCD TV on the wall had been taken down and replaced by a man!
Sam's body had been stripped naked and tightly bound to the wall with countless layers of strong black tape. His feet were more than a foot above the ground, and no matter how hard he struggled, he could not free himself.
And that was not all.
In the holes on Sam's ears, nostrils, and even his navel, there were lit cigarettes tightly inserted. He couldn’t shake them off no matter how hard he tried. Every breath he took made tears stream down his face. It was incredibly tragic.
Sam's voice was hoarse as he pleaded, "I was wrong! Please, I beg you, stop torturing me!"
An hour ago, after he called his father asking for help, Ryder suddenly suggested playing games with him as a pastime. He said it was for entertainment, but in reality, it was to mock him.
To make the game more creative, Ryder had George's subordinates come up with ideas. Those whose suggestions were chosen received a $10,000 bonus on the spot.
Under such a substantial reward, a lot of them quickly came up with interesting methods for torturing Sam. And now, this scene unfolded.
Ryder, while playing the game, smiled and exclaimed, "I just killed two more!"
George immediately raised his thumb and praised, "Mr. Clark is amazing!"
At the same time, one of Sam's subordinates quickly lit two cigarettes and forcibly stuffed them into Sam's already filled nostrils.
For every person Ryder killed in the game, he was responsible for lighting a cigarette for Sam!
...
Joseph's chest was filled with anger and frustration. He had always cared about maintaining his reputation, and yet his son had suffered such humiliation. How could he bear it?
Walking into the private room accompanied by Boss T, Joseph exuded the aura of a seasoned businessman. He frowned at George and said, "We have always been friendly. What's the meaning of this act today? If you don't give me an explanation, this matter won't end well!"
George glanced at Boss T standing beside Joseph and raised an eyebrow. "Why has Boss T followed you here?"
Tony chuckled, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth. "Just heard that my nephew was being bullied. As an elder, I couldn't sit idly by."
"Of course, we’ve come here to save Sam and uncover the truth! Will you explain what’s going on here?"
Facing the questioning from the two men, George remained composed and shrugged, saying, "There's nothing to explain. Can’t you see what’s happening here? Is there anything else to explain?"
Joseph and Boss T were momentarily stunned. They thought George would come up with some excuses to explain, but they didn't expect him to admit it so openly, and that too with an attitude of total indifference!
"Is George really insane?" Joseph thought. He couldn't figure out what benefits George would gain from offending him and Boss T like this!
Years of experience in the underworld told him that things were never as simple as they seemed on the surface.
Because in this moment, he realized that there was a key figure in the whole incident that he had been neglecting.
That person was the young man sitting in the middle of the sofa, still bowing his head and playing games.
From the moment they appeared, this young man never raised his head to take a closer look.
Joseph had a vague feeling that this young man's identity might not be ordinary. Was he the heir of some wealthy tycoon?
But in Houston, he had never seen this person before! Could he be from another city within the province?
As Joseph's thoughts were brewing, Sam, who was stuck to the wall, weakly pleaded for help. "Dad... you finally came! Please save me, I'm dying, save me..."
Sam's plea instantly made Joseph anxious, and he couldn't care less about the rest, so he gave Boss T a look.
The latter waved his hand and ordered his men, "Save him!"
The henchmen eagerly rushed forward, but George's men blocked their way. They stood in front of Sam and raised their batons. They were ready for a fight at any time!
Seeing that the two sides were about to clash, Ryder put away his phone, stood up, and looked at Joseph, saying, "You're Sam's dad, right?"
Upon hearing this, Joseph raised his hand, gesturing for Boss T's men to stop for now.
With a cold and stern gaze, Joseph asked, "Who are you?"
Ryder showed a faint smile and said, "I'm Ryder!"
Joseph's pupils contracted. "You're that useless son-in-law of the Johnson family, Ryder?"
Ryder nodded. Joseph couldn't help but twitch at the corner of his mouth.
He had been suspicious and even somewhat wary of the young man in front of him.
Never did he expect this guy to be Ryder!
Damn it, he almost got fooled!
Joseph became even more displeased, his temper flaring as a cruel and cold smile appeared on his face. "Bastard! You're quite good at playing tricks! Before I finish you off, I want to confirm one thing. You're the one who did this to my son, right?"
"That's right."
Ryder nodded.
Joseph's eyes turned even fiercer as he continued to question, "A few days ago, when my son went to propose to the Johnson family, he came back with a head injury. Was that your doing too?"
"That's right again!" Ryder smiled and nodded.
Joseph laughed angrily. "Hahaha! They say you're a waste, but in my eyes, admitting all of this takes some courage! I'll give you one minute to prepare your last words. Believe me, tonight, no one can save you, including George!"
Upon hearing this, Ryder remained unfazed. Instead, he kept staring at Joseph, and his tone gradually turned cold. "Before you arrived, I had already told Sam to prepare for the destruction of the Smith family tonight. Since you're here now, let me notify you as well. Are you prepared for the downfall of the Smith family?"
After finishing the statement, he added, "Believe me, tonight no one can save the Smith family, including any resources or connections you think you can utilize!"
