Chapter 475 Who Says I'm a Gullible Fool
Theodore's eyes slowly drifted over to Lily, who was sitting on the far right.
His eyes lit up instantly.
In Jakarda City, she'd definitely be considered a rare beauty.
Just one look at her made him feel a rush of excitement.
But he didn't lose his composure. He raised his right hand and extended two fingers, and a subordinate quickly handed him a cigarette, lit it, and placed it between his fingers.
Theodore took a drag, exhaled a puff of smoke, and smiled as he asked Deborah, "I don't quite get what you're saying."
Deborah replied, trying to please him, "She's my niece, and as you can see, she's stunning. If you agree, you can take her with you tonight, and do whatever you want with her."
After a pause, Deborah added, "And I hope you can write off the debt."
Hearing this, Theodore squinted slightly, smoking and lost in thought.
Lily couldn't stay calm. Her brows furrowed as she questioned Deborah, "Deborah, what are you talking about? What do you mean he can take me tonight? What gives you the right to decide?"
Facing this barrage of questions, Deborah snapped back, "What's wrong with that? I have the right to make decisions for you as your elder. Besides, are you just going to watch us fall into ruin?"
Her words made Lily's expression turn grim, and she coldly responded, "It has nothing to do with me. Don't drag me into this!"
Mia also spoke up, "Deborah, it's your fault. Lily has no reason to become Theodore's mistress to pay off your debt! I don't agree with this!"
Deborah, with a tearful face, shouted, "Mia! Can't you have some pity on me? Besides, I'm doing this for Lily's sake. Becoming Theodore's mistress in Jakarda City is a great honor! How can you refuse that?"
How shameless!
Among those present, Ryder was the calmest. He even took out his phone and started texting someone!
But no one noticed Ryder's actions because, in their eyes, he was insignificant.
Lily, furious, clenched her fists and remained resolute. "I disagree!"
Seeing this, Theodore sighed regretfully and said to Deborah, "See? Your niece doesn't share your thoughts. I'm known as a law-abiding citizen, and we don't do things like forcing people. So, please hurry up and repay the debt, or we'll have to take your organs and sell them for whatever we can get!"
These words scared Deborah and Mario!
In their panic, Deborah turned to Betty, Philip, and Susan for help.
Her expression looked very pitiful!
Although Betty resented Deborah and Mario for owing so much money, she couldn't bear to see them harmed by Theodore because of the debt!
Betty trembled as she stood up, walked over to Lily, and sighed, "Lily, I think Deborah has a point. If you agree to be Theodore's mistress, you can save Deborah and Mario and secure a worry-free financial future. It's a better option than being Ryder's girlfriend! Just agree!"
Lily looked up at Betty, her eyes filled with disappointment and astonishment.
From dinner at home tonight until now, Betty's image in her mind had crumbled repeatedly.
Philip and Susan were also eager for this matter to end soon, urging Lily to agree and even suggesting she toast Theodore and apologize right now.
Only Mia still intended to protect Lily.
But they were outnumbered.
Seeing this unfold, Theodore finished his cigarette, leaned back on the sofa with a look of enjoyment, and asked Jacob, who was standing respectfully beside him, "Jacob, what do you think?"
Jacob smiled lewdly and said, "Honestly, I've noticed that woman named Lily since we entered the room. She would make a perfect mistress for you."
Hearing this, Theodore smiled and looked at Lily with undisguised greed.
In Jakarda City, Theodore was notorious for his chaotic private life.
He had raped women when he was young, and even after getting married, he continued to keep mistresses.
Rumor had it that Theodore had at least eight mistresses.
That was why Deborah was so eager to offer Lily to him as a mistress.
"All of you, shut up!" The crowd's discussions and accusations pushed Lily to the brink of collapse. She stood up and shouted, silencing the room instantly.
Lily's eyes were red, and she forced back her tears.
Glaring at Deborah, Mario, and the others, she choked up but firmly said, "None of you have the right to make decisions for me. Besides, I would rather die than do something so disgusting!"
Hearing this, Deborah scolded, "Lily! Stop pretending to be so pure! I heard that you make tens of thousands of dollars a month in Houston. How can you make that much from your job? You must be someone's mistress! And that guy you brought back today is just a gullible fool you're using!"
These words made Lily tremble with anger.
She never expected Deborah to say something so vile.
It was a complete fabrication.
But the others didn't know the truth and instinctively believed Deborah's words.
Their gazes towards Lily changed.
Louis, squatting nearby, showed a look of disdain and couldn't help but spit on the ground. "So she's such a disgraceful woman. I thought she was pure!"
At this moment, a slightly discordant voice chimed in, "I'm a gullible fool? Seriously?"
