Chapter 231 Rex James Takes Action!
When Ryder heard that, there was a look of disgust on his face as he said, "Stop it, stop it! I don't even want you to call me daddy! It would be embarrassing for me if anyone else knew I had such a shameless daughter like you!"
"You..." Elena was speechless. A wave of anger surged within her chest. Yes, her hatred for Ryder Clark had gone deep into her bones. This man could not be allowed to get away with it so easily!
Through gritted teeth, she scolded, "Mr. Clark! I admit that I have suffered a few losses at your hands before, and I know that you may have some power and resources. But you can’t be too arrogant in life! Haha! You dare say those things to me without even recognizing who you’re standing in front of?"
Ryder looked around indifferently, and said, "Is there a problem here? Are you saying that because this road is uneven and full of potholes, you plan to invest in helping the people fix it? If that's the case, I won't bring up the incident where your car sprayed us with dirty water."
Elena felt a twitch in the corner of her eye and said, "Mr. Clark! Are you trying to play dumb with me? Fine! Today, I’ll show you what happens when you anger me!"
With that, she turned around and shouted at the building materials store behind her. "Where did everyone go? Get out here right away!"
As she finished speaking, there was a clattering sound from the store.
Four men wearing work uniforms quickly ran out.
A man with a flat nose took the lead and quickly flattered Elena, saying, "Why are you here, Elena?"
As he said this, he secretly wiped the sweat off his forehead with his hand, feeling somewhat guilty and nervous. They had just been playing mahjong in the small room inside the store. Although there was no business during this time period, they were not allowed to play mahjong while they were off duty.
Luckily, Elena hadn't walked in. If she had found out, it would have been big trouble!
Furthermore, Elena had not noticed anything abnormal about these workers.
She wrinkled her nose and scolded, "Stay away from me, you reek of sweat!"
Elena's face twisted with anger as she shouted in a low voice, "I have the courage to do it today. Let's see what you can do. Come at me!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the man with a flat nose reached out to grab Ryder by the collar.
As he was about to grab him, a hand dark and strong suddenly appeared and grabbed the flat-nosed man's wrist.
The flat-nosed man looked away and saw a seemingly unremarkable rural youth.
It was Rex!
Even though he was a blue-collar worker, he was disdainful when he looked at Rex, saying, "Where did you come from, you country bumpkin? This is none of your business, go away!"
Rex was unfazed.
"Oh! You little bastard, are you deaf? I’ll slap you!"
The flat-nosed man instinctively tried to pull his hand back and slap Rex.
To his surprise, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't break free, and Rex remained unmoved.
"What the hell! Why are you holding onto my hand, country bumpkin? Let go! Let go!" The flat-nosed man struggled and shouted.
"Oh!" Rex replied in a daze, and suddenly let go of his hand.
The flat-nosed man stumbled backwards due to inertia and fell to the ground.
"Ouch!"
He sat right into a puddle on the road.
Splash!
Dirty water splashed everywhere, splattering Elena's thighs and legs since she was standing next to him.
"What the fuck! Are you blind? Didn't you see the puddle?" Elena exclaimed in panic.
The flat-nosed man quickly got up with an innocent expression, "I'm sorry... I didn't do it on purpose, it was that bumpkin who tripped me!"
Elena's face changed color with anger as she kicked him hard on the butt. "What are you standing around for? Go and beat them all up! If you don't understand, all four of you can pack your bags and get the hell out of here!"
The flat-nosed man was scared and nodded repeatedly, then signaled the other three workers to go forward and deal with Ryder and the others.
But what happened next completely caught them by surprise.
The four grown men charged forward, but Rex blocked them effortlessly by himself.
He didn't even hit them.
He simply blocked their attacks with his hands, grabbed them and pushed forcefully.
They stumbled and fell, like adults who were fooling around.
In just twenty seconds, all four of them were lying on the ground, unable to get up...
