After saying this, the manager slammed the phone down.
She smirked at Ryder, "You little punk, you're toast! Just wait and see!"
Ryder just shrugged, gave a lazy smile, and looked totally unbothered.
Then he turned around and joined Sarah and Barbara to check on the old lady who had been knocked down.
He also called the airport staff to get medical help ASAP.
Seeing Ryder and the others hustling, the fans were all like, whatever.
Some even had this look of pure disdain.
To them, Ryder was just putting on a show, and they were curious how long he could keep it up.
Ken's assistant, though, was a bit jittery and asked the manager, "Don't you think this might be a bad idea? People could film this and post it online, and it could get out of control."
The manager waved her hand like she had it all figured out, "Relax! This is the perfect chance to create buzz for Ken. First, stir up some drama online, then spin it like Ken was protecting fans from bullies, which is why public resources were used. With this angle, plus our fans' support, Ken's rep will skyrocket! And when the sponsor shows up, they'll back us up. That troublemaker and those women will be toast!"
The assistant suddenly got it and gave the manager a thumbs up!
She was a genius!
Just then, a sweet voice called out from the pick-up area. "Ryder!"
When Ryder heard that familiar voice, he froze, then quickly turned around.
He saw a familiar figure bouncing over, ponytail swinging, dressed in casual clothes.
Seeing that serene and pure face, Ryder's eyes immediately teared up!
Ava, the one he had longed for day and night, had finally come back from her treatment abroad!
"Ava!" Ryder opened his arms and caught the running Ava in a big hug!
They hugged each other tight!
"Ryder!" Ava's voice was choked with emotion. "I missed you so much! I dream about you every day!"
Ryder gently patted Ava's back and whispered, "Don't cry! It's good to have you home!"
Since their dad passed away, Ava was his only family left!
Over the years, she had suffered the most with him!
No matter what, she always believed in him!
No one could replace her!
Ryder looked Ava over and asked, "How's your recovery?"
Ava spun around with a cute smile, "Fully recovered! Just like my old self!"
Ryder nodded excitedly!
He was genuinely happy!
When Ava's surgery was successful, the hospital director said she could recover, but Ryder had his doubts, worried about aftereffects!
But after being treated abroad, she was 100% back to normal!
He couldn't help but marvel at the advanced medical tech abroad and felt blessed that Ava was okay!
At that moment, Sarah also rushed forward.
She hugged Ava and choked up, "Ava!"
"Sarah!" Ava snuggled into Sarah's arms.
In Houston, besides Ryder, the person she missed the most was Sarah!

Ryder asked, confused, "You know her?"
