Chapter 355 Before the Banquet!
In the afternoon, at a wellness and entertainment club, Ronald lazily stretched his body and let out a satisfied sound. "So comfortable!"
Next to him sat a well-proportioned woman, naked!
She hooked her arm around Ronald's shoulder and coyly said, "Ronald, as long as you're satisfied, I'm always here for you whenever you want!"
Ronald smiled and pinched the woman's chin. "Of course, I'll come back in a few days and bring some of your good friends along, the ones with big chests and butts!
"Don't worry, money is not an issue for me. As long as you all keep me satisfied, I'll give you a big tip!"
The woman was overjoyed and gave Ronald a big kiss on the cheek!
Ronald had been in a particularly good mood these past few days.
A few days ago, he and Kenneth had conspired in an underground boxing match.
Although it ended in failure, as the bookmaker that night, he made a total profit of $200 million in cash!
He had made a huge fortune!
However, this incident also soured his relationship with Kenneth!
Originally, offending Kenneth would have been a big problem for him.
Unexpectedly, he received news yesterday that Kenneth had died in a car accident!
It was simply delightful!
So, to celebrate his joy, he came straight to this wellness club and had sex with the woman all night!
"The ladies here are good, but they still fall short compared to the top girls at Radiant Revive Spa. It's a pity I won't have many chances to go there again!" Ronald said, sighing.
Just as he was getting up to get dressed, the door to the room was suddenly kicked open with a bang!
Ronald was startled. "What the hell! Who is it?"
The woman was also frightened and burrowed into Ronald's arms!
About a dozen big men rushed in, blocking the doorway tightly!
Ronald frowned and scolded, "Damn it, who are you guys? How dare you barge into my room? Get the hell out of here!"
The big men didn't budge an inch!
Ronald was getting annoyed. "Are you deaf? Don't you know how powerful I am? If you don't get out now, don't blame me for being rude!"
However, the big men remained indifferent!
Two of them walked over, dragged Ronald off the bed, and threw him to the ground. "Come with us!"
Ronald's head throbbed from the impact of the fall, and he was humiliated in front of the woman.
Unable to endure the indignity any longer, he roared, "Edward, where the hell are you guy? Get in here and kick these bastards out!"
Just then, the sound of footsteps echoed at the door. Ronald's heart sank as he saw who walked in, and his arrogance evaporated instantly.
His face went pale, and his voice faltered. “Brian!”
It was Brian, the butler of the Davis family, who walked in.
Brian’s demeanor was as composed as ever, and in his right hand, he dragged someone by the collar—Ronald’s top bodyguard, Edward.
Edward's eyes were rolled back, and blood was flowing from his nostrils and mouth!
He was completely unconscious, clearly beaten into a stupor!
Seeing Edward in this state made Ronald's heart sink.
Although Edward had lost to George in the underground boxing match a few days ago and was injured, after a few days of rest and treatment, he had mostly recovered!
Even in this condition, Edward wasn't someone a few big men could take down!
The beating Edward had received made it clear that Brian was not just a butler; he was a formidable fighter, surpassing even the most seasoned professionals in Houston—a notion Ronald had always dismissed as mere gossip.
He had thought Brian was just a middle-aged man without muscles, and there was no cause for fear.
He had thought those rumors were fake.
However, at this moment, observing up close, he couldn’t help but feel a chilling realization.
If Brian wanted to, he could kill him in three seconds!
So, Ronald forced a respectful and awkward smile and asked, "Brian, what are you doing here?"
Brian glanced at Ronald coldly. "Mr. Davis has invited you to a dinner tonight, Ronald. You are to come with us."
Hearing this, Ronald's heart skipped a beat!
'Mark is inviting me to dinner?
'Could it be a trap?' Ronald wondered.
Even though he didn't know Mark's intentions, considering Kenneth had just died yesterday, he was likely still angry. What good reason could there be for inviting him to dinner now?
So Ronald put on a pitiful face and said, "Brian, I'm not feeling well, and I have something very important to do tonight. I appreciate the invitation, but I'm really sorry!
'Next time, I'll personally bring a generous gift to apologize, okay?"
But Brian's response was straightforward. "Mr. Davis said you must come, or there will be no next time!"
At this point, Brian's cold tone carried a hint of killing intent!
If Ronald refused again, Brian would act in the next second!
What else could Ronald do?
He could only grit his teeth and agree, "Brian, you misunderstood. I absolutely didn't mean to refuse. I'll get dressed and go with you right away, okay?"
Brian snorted coldly, "Then don't waste time!"
Time passed quickly.
In the blink of an eye, it was seven o'clock in the evening!
As darkness enveloped the night, its chill was intensified by the absence of moonlight and stars. The cold seemed to seep into the very air, setting an uneasy tone for the evening.
Ryder and Rex arrived at the entrance of the Elmrest River Estate. The sleek black car came to a stop, and Ryder stepped out.
Seeing this, Rex muttered to himself, "This atmosphere feels weird. Will we even have an appetite to eat?"
Ryder smiled wryly and said, "Don't worry, once we're inside, we'll eat and drink as usual! The Davis family is so wealthy, they won’t be stingy with their hospitality."
Rex nodded and gave a simple smile!
Just then, another car pulled up nearby, and out stepped Sandra in a striking black dress that clung to her form. Her gaze locked onto Ryder, and a flash of hatred flickered in her eyes before she forced a smile.
"Well, well, if it isn’t Ryder from the Johnson family," she said with a hint of venom. What a coincidence to see you here!"
Her tone shifted to sweetness as she continued. "Ryder, are you here for the dinner too? How about we go in together?"
