Chapter 315 You Really Are a Beast!

A van pulled up outside an abandoned factory in Houston.

Daniel and his crew drag Kyle and Karen out.

Kyle, scared, asked Daniel, "Mr. Miller, where are we? You're not gonna kill me, right? Please let me go!"

Daniel kicked him hard. "Shut up, or I'll cut your tongue out!"

Kyle remained silent, terrified.

Karen, nearby, felt her legs go weak, silently cursing her luck.

They were led into a big, dimly lit factory.

The air reeked of must and something foul.

Kyle's fear grew. If Daniel wanted to kill him here, no one would ever know!

Just as Kyle's mind raced with fear, Daniel stopped and pointed to a slightly open iron door. "You two, go in. The boss is waiting!"

Kyle and Karen exchanged fearful glances but gathered the courage to enter.

Inside, they were shocked!

The room was about 500 square feet.

A man lay on the ground, covered in blood, barely recognizable.

It was Michael.

He was still breathing but in terrible shape.

Next to him was a half-skinned Doberman, looking gruesome.

In front of them stood a burly man with his back turned, holding a blood-stained baseball bat.

Seeing Michael, Kyle realized this man did it.

The man turned, revealing a smile and white teeth. "Kyle, you recognize me, right?"

Seeing his short hair and gold chain, Kyle panicked. "Mr. Davis?"

It was Mark's son—Kenneth!

Kenneth cracked his neck. "Since you know me, you know what you owe."

Kyle's heart skipped a beat. He knew Kenneth meant the forty grand he owed the casino.

But why would Kenneth come after him for such a small amount?

Confused, Kyle quickly knelt before Kenneth, trembling. "Mr. Davis, I didn't mean to owe you. Give me a week, and I'll pay with interest!"

Kenneth swang the bat, making Kyle more nervous.

"What if you can't pay and run? Even banks need collateral. Think you can get away without offering anything?"

Kyle's eyes darted around, and he smiled. "Simple. I still have my mom, right? She might be old, but she's worth something, don't you think?"

Karen, startled, scolded him, "Kyle, what are you saying? What do you take me for?"

Kyle glared and snapped, "What's wrong with that? You always said you'd put me first and that I'm your treasure. Now, when I need you, you back out? Do you even deserve to be my mom?"

Karen was speechless.

She had said those things but never thought it would come to this.

The more she thought about it, the more wronged she felt, and she wanted to cry.

Kenneth didn't even look at Karen. He tapped Kyle's cheek with the bat and sneered, "Didn't expect it. You're quite the beast, selling out your own mom. Ruthless!"

Kyle shrank back, nodding obsequiously. "Mr. Davis, you're right. I am a beast. As long as you're satisfied, call me anything! I'll do anything you ask, just spare my life!"

Kenneth laughed disdainfully. "I'm not interested in your pathetic life. I need one thing from you today. Do it well, and not only will I forget the forty grand, but I'll also give you seventy grand. Deal?"

Kyle and Karen's eyes lit up!

Kyle hugged Kenneth's leg in excitement. "Mr. Davis, just say what you want! I'll do anything, no matter how dangerous! What do you need?"

Kenneth bent down slightly, speaking seriously, "Tell me everything you know about Ryder, every detail, and from today on, help me take him down. Can you do that?"

Kyle's eyes widened in shock for a few seconds.

Once he realized Kenneth wasn't joking, his face lit up with excitement. "I can do that! Absolutely! I can't wait to see that bastard Ryder die!"

Karen, who had been feeling hopeless moments ago, quickly chimed in, "Can I help too? I don't need much. Just give me seven grand!"

Kenneth glanced at Karen, a mocking smile on his face, and nodded. "I'll give you fourteen grand! Just go ahead and do it boldly!"

Karen nodded repeatedly, showing a determined look.

She thought, 'Ryder, you'll be screwed.'

---

After their meal, Ryder and Sarah returned to their companies.

Ryder had just entered the Maple Real Estate office building.

Sophia approached him respectfully, "Mr. Clark, Mr. Brown is here, waiting for you in your office!"

"Got it!"

Ryder responded and took the elevator straight to the CEO's office.

Entering the office, he found Scott sitting on the couch, brewing some herbal coffee.

Closing the door behind him, Ryder smiled. "What brought you here today? And with the leisure to brew herbal coffee!"

Scott smiled kindly. "You wouldn't understand. As you get older, you'll start to appreciate these things. It calms the mind and reduces stress! Besides, there's a lot to learn about this, something you should get into eventually!"

Ryder shrugged helplessly. "Forget it, I'm just a simple guy, not interested in that stuff! But you wouldn't come here for no reason, so what's the important matter?"
