Chapter 1193
Kevin and his buddies decided to tackle White Cloud Mountain, which, to be honest, was only about 1,000 feet high. The place was pretty sweet, with tall trees everywhere and birds chirping through the leaves, making everyone feel chill and happy.
Since school started, Kevin hadn't really taken a break. He had Audrey to keep him company every night, which was way better than other guys who just had their hand for company after homework. Kevin was killing it in his studies, probably because he had Audrey to look forward to.
Kevin and Audrey were getting closer, especially since she became the Homeroom Teacher and he got the Class President gig. They saw each other all the time and missed each other when they were apart, kinda like when Kevin first hooked up with Alissa. They couldn't get enough of each other.
But Audrey wasn't as daring as Alissa, and she didn't have a private office. At school, she kept things professional with Kevin. It was only when they got home that they let loose, making love and enjoying every moment together.
Kevin and Albert were lugging heavy backpacks as they climbed the steps. Laura and Lucy were ahead, about 30 feet away, chatting and laughing. Laura rocked a blue and black sports outfit, her ponytail bouncing with every step. She had a fit, youthful body, and her butt looked amazing in those workout pants. Her legs were long and toned. Lucy wore a beige T-shirt and a denim skirt, showing off her thighs. Her booty was just as impressive, making the guys behind them stare and drool.
"Check out Lucy's figure, it's just as good as Laura's," Albert said, eyeing Lucy's swaying booty. "Laura's taller, but Lucy's got a bigger chest. Regretting chasing Laura? Wanna switch?"
"What's there to be proud of? Have you even gotten with Lucy? You got no game," Kevin shot back, laughing. It was clear Albert still had a thing for Laura. For guys, getting a girlfriend was a big ego boost. Laura was tall, beautiful, and the principal's daughter. Winning her over would be a major bragging right.
But Lucy was more girlfriend material. She was cheerful, generous, pretty, and had a great body. During gym class, her full breasts would bounce, catching every guy's attention.
Plus, Lucy wasn't like those girls who got too close to guys and lost their virginity early, becoming promiscuous. Yasmine was one of those girls, and who knew how many guys had been with her. The problem was, after those guys had their fun, they looked down on her for being easy, and no one wanted to date her seriously.
Albert grinned awkwardly, determined to make a move on Lucy today. Even if they didn't go all the way, he at least wanted to cop a feel.
The four of them finally reached a small pavilion halfway up the mountain and decided to take a break. From there, they had a killer view of Harmony County. They could see a road snaking in from the southwest and cutting through the town from east to west. Down at the foot of the mountain, a railway ran by, and every now and then, a train would chug past, puffing out black smoke.
"Look, that's where we got off," Laura said excitedly, pointing down from the pavilion. "You can even spot our school. There's City Hall Square, Golden Bridge Market, and South City Park."
By now, the sun was up, peeking through the clouds like a big egg yolk, not too bright.
"It would've been awesome if we came earlier to catch the sunrise," Lucy said, a bit bummed. She clasped her hands behind her back, making her chest stand out.
"That's easy, Lucy. I'll come with you to see the sunrise next week," Albert said, sliding up to her with a grin, his hand sneaking around her waist.
"What are you doing?" Lucy quickly slapped his hand away, glaring at him. "Watch your hands."
"What's the big deal? Laura and Kevin aren't strangers," Albert muttered. "What's wrong with a little touch? I'm your boyfriend, after all."
Kevin and Laura exchanged amused looks, seeing that Albert and Lucy were still figuring things out. After resting for a bit, they continued their climb. Half an hour later, they finally reached the summit. The place was wide open, with a cliff in front and a big rock jutting out. The ground was covered in grass, surrounded by a pine forest.
"This place is awesome," Albert said, jumping onto the big rock and stomping lightly. He called to Lucy, "Lucy, come up here. Let's take a photo."
Lucy blushed a bit, feeling shy. But with Laura giving her a nudge, she went along and stood on the rock with Albert, letting Laura snap a photo of them.
Then Kevin and Laura took their turn on the rock for a photo.
Albert suddenly remembered something and said, "That guy Ivan, of all people, had to copy your essay. Didn't he realize he'd get caught?"
"Exactly, Ivan's in hot water now. He's not as cocky as before," Lucy said with a giggle. "But Kevin, you really lucked out. If this hadn't happened, Quentin wouldn't have been expelled, and Audrey wouldn't have become our homeroom teacher. Who knows when you would've become the class president."
"Alright, we're here to chill today. Let's not talk about that stuff," Laura said, frowning. "I'm starving. Let's eat."
Kevin and Albert quickly opened their backpacks, laid out a picnic mat on the soft grass, and took out a bunch of snacks. With tasty food, good company, and stunning scenery, the four of them were having a blast.
After they finished eating, they cleaned up their trash, planning to take it down the mountain. By now, it was almost eleven, and the sun was getting pretty hot. Kevin set up a simple tent, and the four of them sat inside playing cards. At first, Laura and Lucy teamed up, and Kevin and Albert were a team. But after the guys won three times in a row, the girls got fed up and insisted on reshuffling the teams.
"How should we team up?" Albert asked.
"Let's draw lots," Lucy suggested. She ended up drawing Kevin, and Laura drew Albert. The four of them switched places.
