Unlike Vanessa, who played mind games, Audrey didn't intentionally tease Kevin. On one hand, she wasn't ready to betray her husband, and on the other hand, she was afraid that if she gave in to Kevin, she wouldn't be able to control him in the future.
"Alright, it's getting late. Let me take you to the guesthouse. You must be tired after this afternoon. Rest well, and tomorrow I'll take you to the bookstore to buy some study guides. Make sure to study well so you have a better chance at your final exams."
Audrey smiled and took Kevin's hand, preparing to leave the garden. This was her basic principle in dealing with Kevin—neither allowing him to go too far nor letting him lose hope. She used his interest in her body to gradually shift his focus to studying. As long as Kevin's grades kept improving, Audrey could also justify her actions to Bethany.
Just then, Audrey's phone rang. She saw it was Trevor calling, wondering why he was calling her so late. After hesitating, she answered, "Hello, Professor, is there something you need from me?"
"Mrs. Johnson, I went to your dorm just now, but Mr. Jones said you were out," Trevor's voice came through the phone. "I wanted to talk to you about something."
Kevin, hearing that it was Trevor, cursed inwardly. The guy never seemed to like him during the day and now calling Audrey so late definitely had ulterior motives.
"Oh, is it something important? Can we talk about it tomorrow?" Audrey glanced at Kevin beside her and said.
"Mrs. Johnson, I really have something important to discuss with you. Are you still on campus?" Trevor asked.
"Alright, I'm by the garden. Come find me here," Audrey reluctantly replied.
After Audrey hung up, Kevin, feeling uneasy, said, "Sis, why is Trevor looking for you? I don't trust him. Just ignore him."
Audrey smiled gently, patting Kevin's head, "Alright, Kevin, wait here for me. I'll go talk to Professor and be back soon," she said, walking towards the garden gate.
Kevin, feeling uneasy, quietly followed Audrey. At the garden gate, he saw Audrey talking to Trevor. Although he couldn't hear what they were saying from a distance, he saw Trevor trying to give something to Audrey, but she kept refusing. Suddenly, Trevor grabbed Audrey's hand and forced the object on her.
"That jerk, how dare he try to take advantage of sis," Kevin thought, now seeing Audrey as his personal possession, not allowing any man to touch her.
