In the morning, Audrey arrived at school early. She had just settled down when Vanessa walked in, clicking in with her high heels, looking cheerful and without a care in the world.
Audrey glanced at Vanessa, who sat down and immediately took out a lipstick, applying it to her lips in front of the mirror. Audrey felt a bit disdainful - as a teacher, she wondered why some people focused more on their appearance than improving their teaching skills. Vanessa was just more obvious about it, but Audrey sighed inwardly, realizing her own messy situation with Kevin, feeling she had no right to judge Vanessa.
After finishing applying her lipstick, Vanessa adjusted her dress neckline to reveal more of her ample bosom. Thinking back to last night when Oliver, that old man, had revealed his true colors, behaving like a horny dog as he pleasured her, Vanessa felt a tingling sensation down there.
She smugly looked at Audrey, who was busy grading papers. Vanessa believed that no matter how hard Audrey worked, she could still use her physical advantages to manipulate Oliver. A beautiful woman wasting her prime years on teaching instead of leveraging her body was simply foolish.
At that moment, David approached the door of the office and said, "Audrey, Vanessa, come to my office for a moment. I need to discuss something with you."
Audrey was puzzled about what David wanted to talk about, while Vanessa was delighted, thinking it was about the training notification.
In David's office, he asked them to sit on the couch and shared the good news. The city was organizing a two-week training for young female teachers, and Mr. Jones had selected Audrey and Vanessa to represent the school. They were excused from classes that day to prepare and head to the city in the afternoon, with expenses covered upfront.
Vanessa was overjoyed and thanked David, knowing the importance of the training. David, feeling a bit awkward, redirected the credit to Mr. Jones and advised them to make the most of the opportunity.
Audrey was surprised by the sudden turn of events. She hadn't heard anything about it and was taken aback by the rush. While she had no preparations to make, Vanessa, with a recently weaned child, had more to consider.
As they left David's office, Audrey couldn't help but ask Vanessa about the situation. Vanessa, with a knowing look, hinted at Audrey to thank Mr. Jones, implying Oliver's involvement.
Vanessa then swayed her hips back to the office, leaving Audrey standing there, feeling conflicted. She understood Vanessa's insinuation - Oliver had likely orchestrated this opportunity for her. It seemed everyone assumed the same, and perhaps that was Oliver's intention.
Audrey pondered her options. Could she refuse Oliver's favor? After all, he was the school principal, and his decisions reflected the school's stance. Despite the implications, Audrey was intrigued by the training opportunity to interact with high-level educators in the city, which could enhance her teaching skills. She couldn't bring herself to refuse, but did she really need to express gratitude to Oliver?
Back in the teacher's office, Audrey found her colleagues gathered around Vanessa, discussing the upcoming training. One teacher remarked enviously about the perks Vanessa and Audrey were receiving, while others wondered when they would get a chance for such training.
Vanessa cheerfully reassured them, hinting at more opportunities in the future. However, she couldn't help but think to herself, maybe it was time for some of them to consider a makeover based on their looks.
