Chapter 1690
Suddenly, there was a ruckus at the alley entrance. Two tough-looking guys barged in, followed by a kid in a puffy jacket. The boy had a fierce look, gripping a shiny knife. Spotting Audrey being hassled by the men, his eyes blazed as he yelled, "Let go of Ms. Johnson! Or I'll make you regret it!"
The big guy was surprised, quickly letting go of Audrey. But seeing his gang outnumber the boy, he smirked and said, "No need for weapons. Careful you don't hurt yourself, kid. She's your teacher, right? A pretty teacher like her must have caught your eye. After we're done here, you can have your turn. Fair's fair."
"Aw, man!"
Abel, clutching the knife, saw Audrey in distress, his heart boiling with anger. Wiping blood from his lip, he had trailed the big guy to the alley entrance, ready to charge in. But the men beat him down, and he heard Audrey's cries and the men's crude laughter from inside. Anxious, he eyed the two men blocking his way, gritted his teeth, and dashed into the restaurant kitchen to grab a knife, forcing the men to back off.
The big guy, now enraged, jeered, "Who do you think you're scaring with that knife? I ain't scared. Come on, if you've got the guts, do it." He even leaned in closer.
Abel was stunned. Fueled by adrenaline, he hadn't planned beyond his rush. Now, faced with the man's challenge, he hesitated. After all, he was just a student, not capable of hurting anyone. Instinctively, he took a couple of steps back.
The other men breathed a sigh of relief. Despite usually backing the big guy, they dreaded facing a kid like Abel. Teens like him were fearless and could follow through. If Abel did something drastic, it wouldn't end well.
Seeing Abel falter, the big guy sneered, snatching the knife and smacking Abel hard across the face, then delivering a swift kick to his stomach. Abel grunted, bending over, feeling lightheaded.
"Dang it, ruining my fun. Watch me finish you off." The big guy lifted his foot to stomp on Abel, while the other men jumped in, throwing punches and kicks. Abel stayed quiet, nearly blacking out from the beating.
"Stop it!" Audrey dashed forward, shouting, "He's just a kid, please, stop hitting him."
"I gotta teach him a lesson today." The big guy stood firm, grabbing Audrey's arm and grinning, "You guys break his legs. If anything goes wrong, I'll handle it."
Several men ruthlessly kicked Abel's legs. Audrey, devastated, jaw clenched, suddenly turned resolute. She snatched the knife from the big guy's grip and swung it fiercely at his face!
"Oh, crap!"
The big guy instinctively jerked back, the sharp blade grazing down his chest, slicing through his clothes, narrowly avoiding a serious injury.
"Get outta here, you scumbags!" Audrey, disheveled, eyes icy, brandished the knife. "Today, even if it costs me my life, I'll take you all down with me!"
"This woman's lost it!" The big guy shuddered, his legs wobbly. That glare in her eyes was no joke. He quickly led the men to flee in terror.
Once they were gone, Audrey dropped the knife, rushed to Abel, and cradled him in her arms, tears streaming down her face. "Abel, are you alright? Let's get you to the hospital."
"Ms. Johnson, I'm okay," Abel weakly replied. The men hadn't gone too far, but the big guy's kick to his stomach was brutal, still aching.
"Why'd you do something so reckless? Who said you should come in?" Audrey scolded. "With so many of them, you couldn't have taken them on."
"Ms. Johnson, you've been good to me. I couldn't just stand by and watch you get bullied," Abel, eyes teary, said resolutely, "I was willing to risk it all to stand up to them."
Audrey helped Abel up and took him to a nearby clinic for a check-up. Thankfully, Abel's injuries were mostly minor, except for the pain in his abdomen from the big guy's kick. The doctor gave him some medication to use at home.
As they left the clinic, it was already dark. Abel spoke up, "Ms. Johnson, it's late. I'll head back to school on my own. You should go home too."
Audrey gazed at Abel's sincere face, his cheeks still swollen, feeling moved. Suddenly, she decided, "Abel, don't go back to the dorm tonight. Come to my place. You won't get proper rest with all the noise there."
After all, Abel had taken a beating trying to help her. She couldn't let him return in that condition; it would weigh on her conscience.
"Oh, that's not necessary," Abel was taken aback and quickly gestured. "Ms. Johnson, you don't have to worry about me. I just need a good night's sleep. You don't need to go out of your way."
"Enough, just listen to me," Audrey said firmly. "I live alone, and I get scared too. You can keep me company."
"Alright." Abel followed Audrey to her home. Audrey entered the living room, changed into slippers, and then turned to see Abel hesitating at the door. She couldn't help but ask, "Why aren't you coming in?"
"Ms. Johnson, maybe I should head back to the dorm," Abel hesitated, "I didn't bring anything. It's kind of awkward."
"No worries, I've got everything you need at home," Audrey handed Abel a pair of slippers to slip into.
Abel stepped into the living room, looking around with curiosity. It was his first time at a teacher's place. Audrey's home was tidy, with a shoe rack by the entrance, a couch and TV stand not far off, and the marble floor gleaming.
Audrey took off her coat, revealing her ample chest. Abel glanced instinctively, remembering Audrey's alluring figure in the alley. He felt a stirring below, feeling guilty for having such impure thoughts when Audrey had trusted him enough to invite him over.
"Abel, have a seat. I'll go freshen up," Audrey poured him a glass of water, then hurried to the bedroom to grab a change of clothes and a nightgown before heading into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her. Leaning against the sink, she gazed at her reflection in the mirror, her face showing signs of fatigue yet still radiating beauty.
Why did she always find herself in these situations? Kidnapped by a criminal gang before, caught by Quentin, and now targeted by a midnight pervert. Was this the fate of a beautiful woman? Audrey felt a mix of sadness and anger. If given the choice, she'd rather be an ordinary woman. Her striking beauty and curvaceous figure only seemed to attract trouble and humiliation.
Audrey undressed, gazing at her trembling ample breasts. She delicately touched them, feeling conflicted. While every woman envied her G-cup breasts, for her, they were a heavy burden and an invisible chain, suffocating her.
Turning on the shower, she let the water cascade over her body. She scrubbed herself vigorously with soap until her skin turned red, mechanically repeating the motions. Finally, she closed her eyes, tears silently streaming down her face, her smooth shoulders quivering.
With Quentin behind bars, Oliver unwell, Christopher's sudden transformation, and even Ethan starting to date, it seemed like her past troubles had vanished. But who could have foreseen that she would encounter another disaster today?
On the couch in the living room, Abel sat obediently, holding a glass, legs crossed. He listened to the sound of running water from the nearby bathroom, his thoughts drifting. Images of Audrey's tall, seductive naked form, her long, shapely legs, full and perky backside, slender waist, smooth skin, and of course, her enticing ample breasts, flashed through his mind.
Despite his attempts to control himself, Audrey's allure was overpowering. Abel couldn't help but feel a physical response, his body heating up, his arousal growing, though a dull ache persisted in his lower abdomen, causing him to furrow his brow as he pondered the night's events.
Those guys were despicable. But when faced with a beautiful and alluring woman like Audrey, which man wouldn't feel desire? Most people buried such thoughts deep down, refraining from acting on them.
Even Abel, as he listened to the water in the bathroom, couldn't help but entertain sexual fantasies. After all, he was spending the night at Audrey's house.
What would transpire this evening? Abel felt a mix of nervousness and anticipation.
