Chapter 665 Conquering Andy
In the afternoon, Kevin and Audrey arrived at the faculty dormitory. As soon as they entered, they saw Kimberly half-lying on the bed, wearing a T-shirt and shorts. Her long and fair legs under the shorts were quite eye-catching. Kevin was taken aback, never expecting to find Kimberly and Audrey in the same room.
"Kevin, you're here," Kimberly stood up and said with a smile, "Both your cousin and I live here. You can come to me at night from now on. I can help you with English tutoring. How about that?"
Kevin glanced at Audrey, feeling a bit annoyed. He had thought Audrey lived alone, but now with Kimberly around, he couldn't have a private moment with Audrey anymore.
Audrey, on the other hand, was delighted. With Kimberly in the dorm, Kevin would be kept in check, and Kimberly could help him with English tutoring.
Facing two beautiful female teachers, Kevin couldn't find any joy. He just wanted to be alone with Audrey. Having no interest in Kimberly, he made an excuse to leave the dorm, wondering why Kimberly had moved in. Could it be a fallout with her husband?
As he walked towards the academic building, he suddenly heard some commotion by the roadside. Looking up, he saw three tall boys surrounding a small boy under a big tree by the playground, seemingly arguing about something.
The small boy, Andy, was covering his face, looking fearful. Kevin was stunned. Andy was Grace's son. Initially feeling a bit smug seeing Andy being bullied, Kevin hesitated. Andy was Grace's son after all. It wouldn't be right to leave. Especially when he saw Jeremy, the leader among the boys, he felt compelled to intervene. He walked over and patted Andy on the shoulder, asking, "Andy, what's going on?"
Andy turned around, surprised to see Kevin. He subconsciously said, "They took my pocket money and asked me to steal from home."
Glancing at Jeremy, Kevin chuckled and said, "Jeremy, aren't you ashamed? Bullying a middle schooler. He's my godmother's child. What should we do?"
Seeing Kevin, Jeremy felt uneasy. Ever since the incident with the police squad, he dared not provoke Kevin anymore. The police squad was something even his brother Douglas wouldn't mess with, let alone a student like himself.
Kevin, just a kid from an ordinary family, how could he have connections with the police squad? Jeremy was puzzled. Seeing Kevin stand up for Andy, he grunted, "Who bullied him? Just playing around. Let's go."
Kevin blocked Jeremy's path, smiling faintly. "Are you leaving like this? Return Andy's pocket money."
Andy quickly waved his hands, "I don't need the money."
"How can that be? This is hard-earned money from my godmother. If you don't care, I do." Kevin glared at Jeremy impatiently. "Hurry up, or we'll go to the disciplinary office."
Jeremy, a bully who feared tough guys, couldn't figure out Kevin's background. The more Kevin pressed, the more uncertain Jeremy felt. Reluctantly, he took out some change and gave it back to Andy before leaving with his friends.
Looking at the money in his hand, Andy was incredulous. Jeremy was the school's bully, extorting protection money from almost every boy. Yet, with Kevin's intervention, Jeremy didn't dare to make a move. It completely overturned Andy's perception.
"Alright, count the money. Is it enough?" Kevin patted Andy's shoulder and said cheerfully, "Andy, focus on your studies at school. Stay away from troublemakers, especially that Chris. If anyone bullies you again, tell them my name. If that doesn't work, come to class 57 and find me. We don't start trouble, but we don't back down from it either."
Andy's expression changed a few times. He never expected Kevin to help him today. He had harbored resentment towards Kevin, believing he took away his mother. But now, he felt he had no right to challenge Kevin, knowing he was someone even Jeremy feared.
Suddenly, a girl with a croissant in hand walked over. She smiled sweetly at Andy, "Andy, why aren't you in the classroom?"
"Oh, I'll go in a bit," Andy's face turned red as he hurriedly explained.
"Okay, I'll go first then." The girl left with a smile. Not as stunning as Laura, she had fair skin, a distant face, clear eyes, and some charm.
Seeing Andy staring at the girl's back, Kevin teased, "Andy, is she your girlfriend?"
Andy blushed and shook his head, looking dejected. "No, she's the class flower. Many boys like her."
"What's so special about that?" Kevin shrugged. "If you like her, go for it. How about I teach you basketball? Girls nowadays like guys who play basketball well. Once you excel in basketball, girls will flock to you."
"Really?" Andy hesitated. "Kevin, can playing basketball really make girls like me?"
