Chapter 792: A Special Time Before Departure

Audrey initially thought Kevin would make an unreasonable request, but after thinking for a while, Kevin simply asked if they could go out for a walk together.

The request was so simple that it made her feel a bit uneasy. She couldn't figure out what Kevin was up to. Knowing him, he wouldn't normally pass up such an opportunity. Even if she refused, he wasn't one to give up easily.

However, Kevin didn't try anything further. They wandered around the county town together.

Hand in hand, Kevin and Audrey strolled through South City Park. This area used to be a large pond surrounded by wild grass, considered the outskirts. Kevin used to play hide-and-seek here with his friends, climb trees to catch cicadas, and scoop tadpoles by the water. Many years had passed, the pond had become an artificial lake, and he had grown from a little boy into a high school student.

Today's weather wasn't too hot. Several elderly people were playing chess in the park, children were playing by the lake, and a couple was strolling with a baby carriage. Everything seemed peaceful and harmonious.

Audrey had only been in the city for three or four years, so she didn't have the same deep feelings as Kevin. She simply felt that the city had changed a lot in recent years, with the county's appearance improving and security getting better. Her career was also progressing steadily; she had been promoted to a mid-level position this year and could expect a senior position in a few years, which would mean a significant pay raise. Oliver had even mentioned that the faculty would be allocated apartments by the end of the year. Everything seemed full of promise.

Unfortunately, Jason was determined to move south and develop in Starhaven, which frustrated Audrey. If only her husband could stay in the city. The work pace in the county wasn't as fast, and the cost of living wasn't high. They could live comfortably on their combined income of seven or eight thousand a month. They might even have had a child by now.

Audrey had married Jason because she thought he was ambitious, but now she wished he didn't have such grand ambitions. She was tired of their current lifestyle.

Kevin, on the other hand, was in high spirits, taking selfies with Audrey and sharing stories from his childhood. Although Audrey wasn't in the best mood, she didn't want to dampen her cousin's enthusiasm. She smiled occasionally and asked questions now and then.

After a while, Audrey felt thirsty. Kevin noticed a cooler selling cold drinks in a corner of the park and went over to buy two bottles of chilled soda. He handed one to Audrey and quickly downed his own, letting out a loud burp. The cold soda felt refreshing as it traveled down his throat to his stomach, cooling his entire belly.

"Why do you drink so fast? Be careful not to get a stomach ache," Audrey said, sipping her soda elegantly. Her graceful demeanor, combined with her striking looks and tall figure, exuded the charm of a mature woman, even captivating the cold drink vendor.

"I'm fine," Kevin said with a grin, wiping the yellow liquid from the corner of his mouth. Noticing the vendor's lecherous gaze fixed on Audrey's chest, Kevin glared at him and quickly led Audrey away.

The vendor, still savoring the sight of Audrey's ample bosom, suddenly slapped his thigh. "Damn, that kid didn't pay!"

But Kevin had already taken Audrey out of the park. They wandered aimlessly north along Fuxi Road, when they saw a young man riding a bicycle with a pretty girl sitting behind him, her arms wrapped around his waist, looking blissfully happy.

Kevin glanced at Audrey, who was also looking at him. They exchanged a knowing smile, both recalling the time Kevin had given Audrey a ride home on his bike. That experience had brought them closer together.

Audrey suddenly moved closer to Kevin, wrapping her arm around his. She smiled and said, "Kevin, I have a question for you. You have to answer honestly, no lying."

"What do you want to ask, sis?" Kevin was taken aback, sensing something serious.

"Promise me first," Audrey said earnestly.

"Alright, I promise to tell the truth," Kevin said nonchalantly.

"What do you like about me? Don't lie; I can tell."

Kevin was stunned. Despite their intimate moments, he had never really thought about what he liked about Audrey. The first time he saw her, he was attracted by her large breasts, which were much bigger than those of other female teachers. He couldn't help it; they were too noticeable for any man to ignore.

But he couldn't say that. If he admitted he was attracted to her breasts, she would definitely get angry. Women liked to be appreciated for more than just their physical attributes, especially someone as proud as Audrey. She wouldn't want to hear that he liked her just for her body.

"You're not just interested in sleeping with me, are you?" Audrey asked, frowning as Kevin hesitated. "Can't you even say what you like about me? Am I that worthless?"

"No, sis, you've got it wrong," Kevin quickly said, seeing Audrey's displeased expression. "You have so many good qualities that I don't know where to start."

"Really?" Audrey smiled slightly, blinking. "Take your time. We have all day."

"Let me think. I think your biggest strength is your patience. You treat students as equals and don't talk down to them. Even though you're a teacher, you don't act superior. You always see students as individuals," Kevin said thoughtfully. He started hesitantly but soon became more confident, speaking from the heart.

At first, Audrey thought Kevin was just making things up, but gradually she felt touched. Kevin wasn't just saying the usual flattering words; he gave many specific examples of things she had said to him, remembering every word. She could feel how much Kevin cared about her.

"Kevin, you're making me sound too good," Audrey said, her eyes misty. She had always thought Kevin's feelings for her were just a boy's curiosity and impulse towards an older woman. She believed he was like other men, attracted to her body but using more respectful means.

But today, Audrey realized Kevin's feelings for her were genuine, making her feel a bit ashamed. She was just an ordinary teacher. Her patience and guidance towards Kevin were out of a sense of duty, not expecting anything in return.

"Sis, you're even better than I imagined," Kevin said emotionally. "Even when you criticize me, I know it's for my own good. Especially when I've made unreasonable requests, you still agreed. I know it's hard for you, and I don't want to make things difficult. I just want to spend more time with you. Don't take my words too seriously. I just said them casually."

By the end, Kevin was almost rambling. He wasn't sure where his relationship with Audrey was headed. Initially, he was attracted to her cold, proud demeanor and hot body, but his feelings had deepened over time.

Being with Audrey made him happier than with any other woman. While he could find physical release with Alissa, Evelyn, Grace, and others, Audrey gave him a sense of happiness. He craved both her body and emotional connection. Her every smile and gesture made his heart race, a feeling of pure joy.

He remembered the thrill of holding Audrey's hand for the first time, the dizzying delight of their first kiss, and the excitement and satisfaction of her helping him with his erection. These memories were vivid and exhilarating.

Kevin knew his feelings for Audrey weren't purely physical. He wasn't capable of loving someone wholeheartedly yet, especially since he had been with Evelyn, Grace, Vanessa, Caroline, and even his aunt Hazel behind Audrey's back. He didn't fully understand what it meant to love someone, which involved not just joy and pleasure but also responsibility, commitment, and sacrifice.

"That's enough, Kevin," Audrey said, her chest heaving with emotion. She gently ruffled Kevin's hair and hugged him, sighing softly. "The past is the past. We need to look forward. Promise me, no matter what happens, you'll study hard and make your aunt proud. Understand?"

"I understand, sis," Kevin said, looking up at this woman who was both a mentor and a sister to him, his heart swelling with emotion and his eyes brimming with tears. He knew his feelings for Audrey went beyond physical attraction. She was a kind mentor guiding his growth and a gentle, understanding sister who fulfilled all his fantasies about women.

Unfortunately, their age and relationship meant they could never be together. Kevin knew this from the start. Their relationship had no future, and neither he nor Audrey could bear the consequences if it were exposed. Perhaps this trip south would be the end of their relationship.
