Chapter 1613
"I'm just here to take a leak. What else is up?" Jeremy strolled over to the urinal, unzipped his pants, and whipped out his impressive member, which was the talk of the guys. Giving it a shake, he let out a stream of yellow while inquiring, "So, what's the scoop on Kevin? Heard you guys gossiping about him earlier."
"Not much, just that Kevin swiped Amos's girl. We're brainstorming our next move," Ivan replied nonchalantly, rolling his eyes. "Hey, Jeremy, remember when you and Kevin had that showdown? Want payback? We're stronger as a team. Kevin's not untouchable. You used to be all about that tough guy image. What gives?"
"Chill, no need to rile me up," Jeremy shook his head, tucking himself back in. "I see it now. Times have changed. Bravado doesn't cut it anymore. Even Jasper, the big shot, got himself in a jam. I heard that Kevin's tight with Police Captain Mark. It's just a girl, not like he messed with your mom. Carry on, fellas. I'm out." With that, he exited the restroom.
Ivan felt a twinge of disappointment. He hadn't expected Jeremy to back down. He thought jocks were all muscle and no smarts.
"Forget that dude, Ivan. Let's handle this ourselves," Amos said, fuming. "I refuse to believe we can't deal with Kevin. Paul, come up with a plan to put him in his place."
Paul pondered for a moment and suggested, "I've got an idea. I don't think Kevin has sealed the deal with Laura yet. If we can tarnish her rep before he does, he'll lose interest. Then we can do as we please."
Kevin's heart skipped a beat. Paul's plan was too ruthless. If Laura was truly hurt, she might do something drastic. Ivan was considering it, but Amos was vehement, "Laura's off-limits. No one touches her. If anyone harms her, they answer to me. Ivan, I'm flexible on other stuff, but not Laura."
"Okay, okay, no argument from me," Ivan conceded. While he saw the potential in Paul's idea, he knew messing with Laura, especially with her dad being Oliver, could spell trouble. Plus, he hadn't given up on Fiona.
"Laura's yours."
"That's more like it," Amos grinned, then his expression darkened. "But Laura's all about Kevin now. She dodges me, and it's hard to even chat with her, let alone hang out."
"It's easy," Paul chuckled. "Get a girl she trusts to lure her somewhere secluded under pretenses. Then you can do your thing."
"Isn't that messed up?" Amos scrunched his face, shaking his head. "I really care about Laura. If I pull that, she'll despise me. I can't do her dirty like that."
"Why front?" Ivan couldn't stand Amos's holier-than-thou act. He scoffed, "Let me tell you, if Kevin and Laura hook up, you're out of luck. If you wouldn't step up, I will."
"Fine," Amos sighed. He wasn't squeaky clean himself, having been involved with a classmate in middle school. But unlike Ivan, who had no shame, even hitting on his own maid, Amos hesitated. The idea of tarnishing Laura's innocence didn't sit right with him. "When's the plan?"
"Tonight suits me. The sooner, the better. You're probably itching, too," Ivan said bluntly. Since Kevin and Laura had gone public, they were less discreet. Witnessing their closeness in the classroom was a stab in the gut for him. Even though he was pursuing Fiona now, he had spent a semester chasing after Laura. Seeing her with Kevin was unbearable.
"Okay, tonight it is. I'll figure something out," Amos said, starting to consider which girl he could enlist for help. As the head of the art department in the student council, he had connections with many girls, but for a task like this, he needed someone trustworthy.
After the trio left, Kevin pushed open the stall door, his expression grim. He hadn't expected Ivan to sink so low. Dealing with him was one thing, but dragging Laura into it crossed a line. It struck a nerve. "Ivan, you jerk!" Kevin gritted his teeth. He had been feeling uneasy about his encounter with Willow, but now he regretted not going further. If given another chance, he would make Willow pay every cent of her son's debt. Knowing about Ivan's scheme beforehand, Kevin began strategizing, too. During lunch, he gathered a few guys, including Albert and Carl, to discuss how to handle Amos.
"I've never trusted that pretty boy," Carl said, rolling up his sleeves with a sneer. "Kevin, spill it. What's the plan?"
Kevin felt a bit uneasy. In the past, he would have roughed up Amos without a second thought. But now, he had matured and promised Audrey not to start trouble. Yet, if he didn't put this guy in his place, there might be a next time. He couldn't watch Amos every day.
"I got this covered, trust me," Albert grinned. He was a prank expert. Last time, he almost drove Sean to a breakdown. Sean still avoided him like a cat avoids a mouse.
After school, as Laura and Kevin were getting ready to leave, a girl rushed over to Laura and said, "Laura, there's a student council event in the auditorium. They need you there. Hurry."
Laura turned to Kevin and remarked, "Kevin, you head home first. The student council must be having some last-minute meeting."
Kevin chuckled, "A meeting now? It's already dark. You head home. I'll handle the meeting for you."
In the auditorium, Amos anxiously waited in a room, holding a water bottle spiked by Ivan with an aphrodisiac. Once Laura drank it, she would become disoriented and compliant, allowing him to take advantage of her.
Imagining having Laura's tall, alluring body to himself soon, his desire surged. His mind raced with thoughts as he paced the room, licking his dry lips. If Laura were still a virgin, he would make her his girlfriend. But if Kevin had been with her already, he would just fool around. His girlfriend had to be pure, untouched by other guys.
Suddenly, footsteps approached outside, followed by a knock on the door. Amos's heart pounded as he rushed to the door, rehearsing the lines in his head. When he opened it, he expected to see Laura but was met by Kevin, Albert, and Carl instead."What's your deal?" Amos stepped back, panic written all over his face. Trembling, he pleaded, "Kevin, I didn't mess with you."
Seeing Amos still trying to talk his way out, Kevin sneered, "You didn't mess with me? Then why'd you summon Laura here? I know what you're scheming. Let's go to the Student Affairs Office and spill the beans to Ms. Turner."
At the mention of the Student Affairs Office, Amos went pale. Elodie was tough, Oliver's right-hand woman. If she caught wind of his intentions towards Laura, he'd be in deep trouble, maybe even kicked out.
"Kevin, please, it's a misunderstanding. I just wanted to chat with Laura about the evening party," Amos stuttered, visibly shaken. "I thought she could play the piano with me for the auditorium performance. I swear, no harm intended."
"You think I'll buy that?" Kevin glared at Amos, itching to smack his pretty, boyish face. If he hadn't overheard Ivan and the crew, Laura might have fallen for it. He spat at Amos, saying icily, "You dare mess with Laura. You've got nerve. Albert, frisk him."
Albert quickly found a few condoms in Amos's pocket. He smirked, "This is solid proof. No need for more talk, Kevin. Let's just scare him straight to prevent any more trouble."
Without missing a beat, Carl whipped out a folding knife, its blade gleaming ominously. His naturally intimidating presence, coupled with the knife aimed at Amos's groin, was chilling.
Amos was so terrified he nearly wet himself. He dropped to his knees, tears streaming down his face, begging, "Kevin, have mercy. Ivan forced me into this. I really like Laura. I didn't want any of this. But Ivan threatened to ruin me at Sunset Valley High School if I refused. I had no choice. I swear I won't go after Laura again."
Kevin kicked Amos to the ground, his expression dripping with disgust. "Albert, he's all yours."
