Ivan was sixteen years old and a sophomore in Class 27 at Harmony County Sunset Valley High School. His father, Devon, was the County Treasurer of Harmony County and holds a lot of power. His mother, Willow, was the union chairman of a performing arts troupe. In the whole of Sunset Valley High School, their family was considered one of the top-tier families.
Because of this, Ivan had formed a secret group called the Rebel Alliance. Under him were four main thugs—Paul, Felix, Liam, and Sean—along with a dozen or so other boys who just tagged along for fun. They loudly claimed to challenge the student council and stand against them.
The parents of these guys were also big shots in various government offices. They act arrogantly and overbearing, sharing the same bad habits as Ivan. They hung out together all the time, indulging in eating, drinking, gambling, and worse. They're basically a bunch of spoiled rich kids waiting to waste their lives away. At Sunset Valley High School, they hada terrible reputation. Countless innocent girls had been harmed by them, and even a few female teachers had fallen victim to the Rebel Alliance.
There was a young female teacher who was drugged and assaulted by Ivan and some of his Rebel Alliance crew. She even got pregnant because of it. In the end, Ivan's mother stepped in, took the teacher for an abortion, and paid her hundreds of thousands of dollars to settle the matter quietly.
Afterward, Devon was furious, but Willow stopped him, saying Ivan was just acting on impulse. Ivan, on the other hand, was smug about it and became even more reckless. He then set his sights on Kimberly from Class 57.
However, Kimberly was a decent and upright person. She goes straight home after class. Plus, her husband, Grant, worked for the government and had a hot temper. Once, when there were rumors about Kimberly and a male teacher, Grant stormed into the school and beat up the guy. Even though Ivan was cocky, he didn't dare to openly target Kimberly. Instead, he tried to find excuses to get close to her and strike up conversations.
