Chapter 441: Springtime in the Amusement Park
At the amusement park, Kevin was watching a guy shoot hoops at a basketball game machine, with a pretty girl cheering him on. It seemed like there was some chemistry between them, but despite the guy being good-looking, his shooting skills were subpar. He only made three shots out of ten. If it were Kevin, he would have made all ten shots.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, the guy handed the ball to the girl. She threw it with force and surprisingly made a perfect shot, jumping with joy. Her fair legs were alluring, and her ample bosom was captivating, leaving the surrounding guys in awe.
Kevin, however, felt disdainful. The girl's chest couldn't compare to Audrey's. If Audrey were here shooting hoops, the guys would be swooning. But compared to Audrey's mature charm, this girl had a cute and innocent vibe. Her figure was accentuated by a short skirt, exuding youth and vitality, reminiscent of Laura's grace.
Thinking of Laura, Kevin felt a pang of regret. Laura was sweet-looking, slim, and excelled in academics. He had a slight crush on her before, but her affluent background made him hesitant to pursue her.
Many guys at school pursued Laura, including the class monitor Ivan, but all were unsuccessful. Kevin eventually shifted his focus to Audrey, especially when Albert started pursuing Laura. Kevin let go of his feelings for Laura.
However, Albert was unsuccessful in wooing Laura. Kevin pondered on how to help him. It seemed like fate played a role in such matters. Laura had high standards, and unless Albert improved his grades significantly, he wouldn't stand a chance with her.
Surpassing Laura academically was a daunting task. Laura consistently held the top spot in their grade, with a significant lead over the second-place student. Catching up with her seemed impossible.
Kevin planned to have a chat with Albert, advising him to give up on pursuing Laura. There were plenty of girls in school, and there was no need to fixate on one. Lucy, the class English representative, showed interest in Albert and was a suitable alternative to Laura.
As the girl took another shot, the ball veered off course this time, bouncing towards Kevin. He caught it effortlessly and casually tossed it into the hoop, scoring a swish.
"Wow, impressive!" The girl admired Kevin's skill, while the guy sneered, "Beginner's luck. Big deal. Let's see you make them all."
Challenged, Kevin confidently accepted, with the stakes set at $1000. The guy seemed well-off.
"Deal," Kevin grinned, confidently stepping up to the machine. Shot after shot, he made nine in a row, with the crowd cheering him on. As he lined up the final shot, the guy, desperate to distract Kevin, pushed the girl towards him.
Instinctively, Kevin tried to dodge the girl rushing towards him, but he also didn't want her to fall. He shot the ball with one hand and caught the girl with the other, holding her close.
The girl gasped as her chest pressed against Kevin's, a soft fragrance enveloping him. Kevin felt a rush of desire as he held her, his arousal evident. The ball arced towards the hoop, hitting the rim and miraculously dropping in.
"Wow, amazing!" The students cheered. Though the hoop was larger and lower than a standard basketball hoop, making ten consecutive shots was no easy feat. Kevin knew the guy had tried to sabotage him, but he still made the shot. Holding onto the girl, he demanded, "You lost. Pay up."
