Chapter 1546
"Sean, you piece of shit!" Kevin stormed down the stairs, kicking an empty soda can that someone had carelessly discarded on the street. He cursed under his breath, seething with anger.
Audrey's actions had left him feeling a bit disheartened, but he knew she was just too kind-hearted. If she weren't so trusting, he wouldn't have been able to get close to her in the first place. The real villain here was Sean.
Kevin had thought Sean would at most complain to Cynthia, but he hadn't expected him to go whining to Audrey, which resulted in Kevin getting scolded.
He had even felt sorry for Sean earlier, advising Albert not to go too far. But now, he felt utterly betrayed.
He wanted to march into Sean's class and give him a good beating, but he knew that would only make Audrey angrier. Frustrated, he finished his last class and stormed out of the school, his anger simmering with no outlet.
"Kevin," a sweet voice called out. Cynthia approached him, looking anxious. "I've been waiting for you."
"What do you want?" Kevin snapped, giving her a cold look. He had once had a bit of a soft spot for Cynthia, but now he resented her too. If she hadn't been so indulgent with her son, Sean wouldn't have done something so despicable. She was partly to blame.
"I need to ask you something," Cynthia said, glancing around at the parents milling about. "Can we talk in the car?"
Kevin wanted to refuse, but as he noticed the way Cynthia's dress clung to her curves, a wicked thought crossed his mind. If he couldn’t get back at Sean directly, maybe he could use his mom to vent his anger. Cynthia was dressed provocatively despite the cold weather, almost as if she was trying to seduce him. Albert had been right; she was definitely a loose woman.
He followed Cynthia to her car parked across the street, his eyes roaming over her legs. She wore a black wool dress that hugged her hips, with sheer stockings that accentuated her shapely legs. Her full hips and the V-neck of her dress revealed a tantalizing glimpse of cleavage. She knew how to dress to showcase her allure without looking too trashy.
"Cynthia, what do you want?" Kevin asked, casually placing his hand on the center console, just inches from her leg. He felt a bit nervous. Though he had been with many women, most encounters were either accidental or initiated by the women. He wasn’t as bold as Albert when it came to making the first move, especially with a mature woman like Cynthia.
"Well, Edgar's boss suddenly assigned him to a rural police station," Cynthia said, leaning closer to Kevin. Her lips parted slightly. "Do you know anything about this?"
Kevin looked at the attractive woman before him. Despite being forty, Cynthia's skin was well-maintained, her face elegant, and her lips full and sensual. Her sharp eyes held a certain charm.
As she leaned in, he could see the deep valley of her cleavage, the blue veins visible on her ample breasts. His throat tightened, and he shook his head slowly. "I don't know much about it."
Cynthia knew that even if Kevin was behind it, he wouldn't admit it. She had to coax him. Grabbing his hand, her eyes welled up with tears. "Kevin, Edgar's health isn't great. He has high blood pressure and stomach issues, and he needs medication daily. The conditions at the rural station are tough. I'm worried about his health."
"Edgar seemed pretty strong when he was beating me up," Kevin sneered. "Cynthia, talking to me won’t help. You need to talk to his boss."
Cynthia was now certain Kevin was behind this. She held his hand tighter, her body pressing against his, her breasts brushing his arm. "Kevin, I know we've wronged you. Edgar wants to apologize in person, but I was afraid you'd be upset. Please, forgive him. I'll do anything you ask."
Kevin felt the softness of her breasts against his arm, his lower abdomen heating up. He glanced at her ample cleavage, licking his dry lips. If he asked Cynthia to sleep with him now, would she agree or reject him outright?
"Cynthia, I'll look into it this afternoon and get back to you tonight," Kevin said, hesitating. He wasn't sure if Daisy was behind Edgar's transfer and didn’t know what Cynthia was willing to offer. It was better to wait and see. The longer he delayed, the more desperate she would become, increasing the chances of her agreeing to his demands.
"Alright," Cynthia said reluctantly, slipping a supermarket gift card into Kevin's pocket. "Here's two thousand dollars. Buy some school supplies or snacks. It's a token of my appreciation."
"Cynthia, I can’t accept this," Kevin said, smirking inwardly. Did she really think two thousand dollars could buy him off? He tried to return the card, but Cynthia refused. In the cramped car, his hand accidentally brushed her chest, and he instinctively gave it a squeeze. It was so soft.
"Ah!" Cynthia gasped, her face flushing. She hurriedly took the card from Kevin, her voice trembling. "If you need anything, just let me know. I'll buy it for you."
Kevin stepped out of the car, watching Cynthia drive away. He sniffed his fingers, still carrying the scent of her perfume. Her breasts were indeed impressive, soft and smooth, comparable to Patty's. No wonder Edgar was so angry; Cynthia must have cheated on him multiple times.
Thinking about the beating he had received from Edgar, a sinister smile crossed Kevin's face. Both father and son were scumbags. He hadn't wanted to get involved with Cynthia, but now that she had come to him, he wouldn't hold back. He would enjoy her body thoroughly.
He called Daisy to inquire about the situation. "Did Edgar come to you? He still dares to bother you?" Daisy asked coolly.
"No, his wife Cynthia came to plead with me," Kevin said with a grin. "I didn’t know what was going on, so I called you."
"It was Mr. Ellis and I who suggested it. People like Edgar need a good lesson to stop thinking they're so important," Daisy said, still angry. "Kevin, you don’t need to worry about this. If Cynthia bothers you again, send her to me."
"Daisy, it's not worth getting so worked up over me. I’m fine," Kevin said. "If word gets out, people might think I’m petty."
After much persuasion, Kevin managed to get Daisy to reconsider. She agreed to talk to Mr. Ellis in a few days, letting Edgar suffer a bit longer.
With Daisy's assurance, Kevin felt more confident. Now it was up to Cynthia to see what she was willing to sacrifice for Edgar's career. A thrill of excitement ran through him. His past encounters with women like Alissa, Evelyn, Vanessa, and Grace had been straightforward. Only Audrey and Daisy had required more effort. He had never seriously tried to seduce a married woman before.
Except for a bit of coercion with Vanessa initially, his relationships had always been consensual. This time, his change of heart towards Cynthia was fueled by Sean's provocation and Edgar's past actions. His anger towards them would be vented on Cynthia.
Of course, Cynthia was an attractive woman, desired by many men. If she were unattractive, Kevin wouldn't have bothered.
He had plenty of beautiful women around him. Audrey was a top-tier beauty, and he had been with three of the four most beautiful women in Harmony County. Cynthia, while pretty, wasn’t on the same level as Daisy, Grace, or Natalie. She was on par with Evelyn, Vanessa, and Kimberly, not even making Kevin's top five.
That afternoon, Cynthia kept texting Kevin, anxious for news. He ignored her, planning to invite her to his house after school. With no one home, he could have some fun with her.
But as he composed the message, he hesitated. Cynthia hadn't done anything wrong. Taking out his anger on her didn't seem right. He had promised himself not to get involved with other women after returning from Skyview City. He couldn't break that promise so soon.
Maybe he should just let it go.
Kevin shook his head. He had calmed down over the afternoon. There was no need to get back at Sean. He had taken the blame for Albert, and Audrey's anger was for his own good. He just needed to apologize, and everything would be fine.
He was about to find Audrey when he saw Sean approaching. Sean's face showed a fawning smile, but his eyes held a mocking gleam.
That jerk!
Kevin's anger flared up again. He coldly stared at Sean, then pressed send on the message.
A few seconds later, Cynthia replied, "Okay, I'll pick you up in ten minutes."
