Chapter 896: Audrey's Rebirth from the Flames
At 6:30 PM the next evening, a shifty-eyed man walked into the park. This park had been converted from an old mining area, and although the environment was nice, its remote location meant it was seldom visited.
This man was Herbert. He entered the park but didn’t see Audrey, so he called her. Audrey didn’t pick up but sent him a message, telling him to meet in a small grove in the southwest corner of the park.
"Heh, let’s see what tricks you have up your sleeve," Herbert sneered, quickening his pace towards the southwest. He had been trying to seduce the voluptuous woman for days, but she remained unmoved, frustrating him to no end. He thought that tonight, no matter what, he would have his way with her. Since she was willing to cheat on her husband, she wasn’t a virtuous woman. Holding her secret over her, he planned to force her into submission.
Herbert arrived at the grove, cautiously scanning the surroundings. Seeing nothing unusual, he slowly walked deeper into the grove, but Audrey was nowhere to be seen. He called her again, but her phone was off.
"Damn it, this slut better not have stood me up," Herbert cursed. The evening was falling, and the grove was shrouded in twilight. The rustling of leaves in the wind made the place feel eerie.
Herbert felt he had been played and was furious. He thought that once the situation calmed down, he would spread rumors about Audrey’s infidelity, even without evidence. Such scandalous stories didn’t need to be true to ruin someone’s reputation. Audrey’s affair was real; she couldn’t have covered all her tracks. He would make sure she was disgraced.
Just then, a white figure appeared behind a large tree. Herbert couldn’t see clearly but could make out long hair and a black dress. The figure waved at him.
Herbert’s heart leaped with joy. It seemed Audrey didn’t dare not show up. Tonight, he would definitely taste this busty woman. He hurried over and without a word, grabbed her, pressing his mouth to her face and eagerly pulling out his penis, trying to push it against her.
However, when his hand reached for Audrey’s chest, he found nothing. The 36G breasts were gone. Suspicion rose in his mind. Was this woman not Audrey? Had he made a mistake?
Just as he sensed something was wrong, everything went dark as a sack was thrown over his head. The woman he was holding pulled off her disguise, revealing herself to be George.
Earlier that morning, Audrey had approached George, explaining that a pervert was harassing her and asking for his help. George, outraged, gathered a few coworkers and lay in wait in the grove, with one of them disguised as a woman. Herbert had fallen right into their trap.
Seeing Herbert struggling in the sack, George signaled his friends, and they began kicking and punching the sack, making Herbert scream in pain.
Finally, George shook his sore wrist and said through gritted teeth, "This shameless bastard dared to harass Mrs. Johnson. Damn, I’ll make sure he regrets it."
The others, who were also students in Audrey’s tutoring class and respected her greatly, were eager to help her. They continued to beat Herbert before dumping him in a nearby muddy pit. Some even urinated into the pit, and one mischievous guy defecated beside it, making everyone laugh as they walked away.
After a long while, Herbert managed to free himself from the sack, his body aching and covered in filth. He was close to tears, never expecting the seemingly gentle woman to be so ruthless. Today, he had been utterly defeated.
He crawled out of the pit, shivering in the cold wind as he was soaked through. Cursing his luck, he made his way to the park entrance, hoping to catch a taxi. But seeing his disheveled state, no taxi stopped for him, further infuriating him. Soon, a van approached, and in a fit of desperation, he lay down in the road. The driver didn’t see him and ran over him.
The van quickly stopped. Seeing Herbert coughing up blood and nearing death, the driver showed a ruthless expression. Seeing no one around, he dragged Herbert into the van, drove to a deserted ravine, and dumped him out, dousing him with gasoline.
"Don’t blame me, buddy. You brought this on yourself. Rest in peace," the driver said.
"Help me," Herbert gasped, terrified. He regretted ever messing with Audrey.
With a whoosh, flames engulfed Herbert, who struggled briefly before falling still, his eyes wide open, turning into a charred corpse.
Outside the courtyard, smoke rose from a barbecue stand. Audrey and George were having a barbecue. Audrey raised her glass, grateful, "Thank you all so much. I wouldn’t have known what to do without your help."
"Mrs. Johnson, don’t mention it. It’s what we should do," George said cheerfully. "These punks only understand a good beating. We had to teach him a lesson."
Audrey, still worried, asked, "You didn’t go too far, did you? We can’t afford any trouble."
"Don’t worry, Mrs. Johnson. We were careful. He’ll just have some bruises, nothing serious," George assured her.
"That’s good," Audrey sighed in relief. She didn’t want George to get into trouble for helping her. She hoped Herbert had learned his lesson and wouldn’t bother her again.
However, Audrey still felt heavy-hearted, unable to be truly happy. Her thoughts drifted to Kevin, wondering what he was doing. Feeling restless, she downed her beer in one gulp.
Nearby, a few drunk men noticed Audrey’s stunning looks and started whistling at her, making lewd comments. George stood up, ready to confront them, but Audrey held him back, not wanting any trouble. However, the men became bolder. One bald man, holding a glass, approached Audrey, his eyes on her ample chest.
"Hey, beautiful, what’s your name? Let’s have a drink and be friends," the bald man said, grinning.
The bald man was tall and muscular, with a scar on his face and tattoos on his chest, clearly not someone to mess with. Seeing he had many companions, George knew they might not come out on top if a fight broke out.
But George and his friends, being young and hot-blooded, couldn’t bear to see Audrey harassed. They stood up, grabbing their chairs, ready to fight.
The barbecue stand fell silent as everyone watched Audrey, waiting to see how she would respond. The owner had already taken out his phone, ready to call the police, fearing his stand would be destroyed in a fight.
Audrey stood up, her face pale. Seeing the glass in the bald man’s hand, she bit her lip and took the glass from him, seemingly about to yield.
The bald man laughed triumphantly, "That’s right. Drink this, and we’ll be family. I’ll be your big brother, and we’ll have a great time tonight, okay?"
George felt frustrated but couldn’t intervene. Audrey wasn’t his wife, and she was trying to protect them. It was humiliating, but he had to respect her decision.
"Go to hell," Audrey suddenly said, throwing the drink in the man’s face and smashing the bottle over his head. The bald man touched the blood on his head, looking shocked, before collapsing to the ground.
Everyone was stunned. No one expected the delicate beauty to be so fierce. The bald man’s companions stood up but hesitated, seeing Audrey’s cold expression. She seemed unhinged, and they didn’t want to mess with her. They decided to back off.
Holding the broken bottle, Audrey scanned the crowd with a fierce look, making everyone avoid her gaze. She finally understood Kevin’s words: people only bully those who appear weak. If she stood her ground, no one would dare to mess with her. It was a lesson learned too late.
Seeing no one else causing trouble, Audrey dropped the bottle, took out some cash, and threw it on the ground, saying, "This is for medical expenses." She then walked away, feeling a sense of freedom she had never felt before. Perhaps it was time to face life boldly, not cautiously. Beautiful flowers needed thorns to fend off unwanted admirers.
Audrey, the proud and cold teacher with a voluptuous figure, had finally undergone a significant transformation. She had been reborn from the flames, becoming a rose with thorns.
...
Meanwhile, Kevin was pacing outside Kimberly’s apartment, unsure whether to go up. That morning, Kimberly had brought fruit to his house, asking how he was feeling, making Kevin uncomfortable. He had been faking illness, and Kimberly had seen through it, suggesting he could just say if he didn’t want her tutoring. Kevin had reluctantly agreed to come over that evening.
Thinking about their previous intimate moments, Kevin felt anxious. Although Kimberly was attractive, with long legs, a curvy butt, and firm breasts, he didn’t want to get involved with another woman. He was already overwhelmed by the women in his life, especially Grace, who was exhausting him. Audrey’s departure had made him reflect on his actions, wanting to change and not be so promiscuous.
But Kimberly’s words left him no choice. Not showing up would be disrespectful. Kevin sighed, regretting agreeing to her tutoring. Being alone with her was bound to lead to trouble. Grant’s absence was also suspicious. Was he really that trusting, or was this a trap?
After much hesitation, Kevin slowly walked upstairs, telling himself not to overthink. Kimberly wasn’t like his homeroom teacher Alissa or his cousin Audrey. He couldn’t afford to mess around anymore, or he’d get into serious trouble.
He had considered bringing Grace’s son Andy along, but Kimberly had been upset at the idea, saying it was disrespectful. Kevin had reluctantly agreed to come alone, hoping he could resist the young teacher’s charm.
