Chapter 375: Little Thoughts

Ethan's face turned red, unsure if it was from the heat or from seeing something he shouldn't have. While Audrey usually dressed provocatively at school, she was still wearing lingerie underneath. However, the cotton t-shirt Audrey was wearing now was so thin that it became almost see-through when stretched over her ample breasts. This sight ignited a fiery sensation in Ethan's lower abdomen, causing his manhood to uncontrollably stiffen.

Seeing Ethan's strange expression and noticing his gaze fixed on her chest, Audrey couldn't help but look down. It was then that she remembered she hadn't worn a bra when changing clothes earlier for convenience. In her haste to open the door for Ethan, she had forgotten about this detail. Blushing crimson, she quickly covered her chest with her arms, wanting to change clothes but feeling it would be impolite to rush Ethan out. The atmosphere in the room became incredibly awkward.

Upon seeing Audrey's reaction, Ethan quickly stood up and coughed, saying, "Mrs. Johnson, I won't disturb your rest any longer. I'll head back to the city. Is there anything you need help with?"

"No, thank you, Mrs. Garcia. I won't walk you out then."

Audrey, feeling flustered, dared not look at Ethan. After Ethan left, she hurriedly locked the door, heaving a sigh of relief. She was filled with regret for being so careless and forgetful, opening the door without wearing a bra. Ethan's unexpected visit in the middle of the day was truly disruptive. However, thinking about how Ethan had come all the way under the scorching sun just to bring her fruits, Audrey felt she shouldn't blame him. If anyone was at fault, it was her own lack of caution. Thankfully, it was Ethan who had come; if it had been another man, who knows what trouble could have arisen.

Seeing the bag of fruits on the table, Audrey sighed. She understood Ethan's intentions, even though he hadn't explicitly expressed them. She couldn't reject him and could only hope that one day he would come to terms with her feelings.

However, Audrey felt a bit displeased with Kevin. It had been over a week since she left the city, yet he hadn't called or come to see her. Even her colleagues at the office had shown more concern. After all, she was Kevin's cousin, and their relationship had surpassed mere familial ties. Yet, he showed no reaction. Had he truly forgotten about her?

Audrey's thoughts unfairly accused Kevin. Kevin was just a student without a phone to call her. Moreover, with final exams approaching and weekend classes to attend, he had no time to visit Audrey in the city. Women, especially beautiful ones, tended to be unreasonable, and Kevin was destined to bear the blame.

In a city several miles away, Kevin, feeling refreshed, exited the restroom and returned to Grace's office. However, he heard heated arguments coming from inside. Curious, he leaned in to eavesdrop on Alissa and Grace's conversation. Just as he caught a few words, footsteps approached from behind. Turning around, he saw a tall high school student in the school uniform, sweating profusely and holding a basketball, indicating he had just finished playing.

The student, slightly taller than Kevin, recognized him but couldn't recall where they had met. Seeing the student's rude attitude, Kevin smirked and retorted, "Who do you think you are? Stop pretending to be someone you're not. It's none of your business which class I'm in."

Enraged, the student grabbed his basketball and hurled it at Kevin. Dodging swiftly, Kevin retaliated by kicking the student's knee, causing him to collapse to the ground.

The commotion outside alerted Grace and Alissa, who rushed out to witness the scene. Alissa, pulling the kneeling student, Frank, up anxiously, asked, "Xiaochao, what's going on?"

Surprisingly, the student who clashed with Kevin turned out to be Alissa's son, Frank. With a resentful look, Frank accused Kevin, "Mom, Mrs. Cooper, this guy was eavesdropping outside your office. I scolded him, and he kicked me."

Grace and Alissa exchanged a glance, feeling a pang of concern. They weren't sure how much Kevin had overheard, but it wasn't the time to dwell on it.

Grace wasn't fond of Frank's aggressive behavior. During PE classes, Frank often used basketball as an excuse to get close to her, even once pressing his lower body against her backside. Grace tolerated it because Frank was Alissa's son.

"Alright, Frank, it seems like a misunderstanding. Kevin was here to see me. You should go back to class," Grace said calmly. She knew Frank had likely come to her office to get closer to her but had unexpectedly encountered Kevin.

"Mrs. Cooper, are you just going to let him off the hook for assaulting someone?" Frank, surprised by Grace's defense of Kevin, couldn't help but express his shock and anger.

"Enough, Xiaochao. I haven't scolded you yet. Why did you come to Mrs. Cooper's office in the middle of the day? It's almost time for the exams, and I won't allow you to play basketball during this period. Do you understand?" Alissa frowned, scolding her son.

Feeling even more frustrated seeing his mother siding with Kevin, Frank glared at Kevin before storming off.

"Kevin, you should head back to school. I'll return on my own later," Alissa said, her expression stern. She was displeased with Kevin's behavior, finding him troublesome. As the exams approached, he shouldn't be causing trouble with Grace.
