Chapter 487 My Brother is a Big Shot in the Mafia
Kevin, the boy, Laura, Lucy, and Albert all quickly went to the school office. The male teacher asked, "Which class are you from, and why were you fighting?"
"He was the one who started it." The tall boy pointed at Albert and loudly said, "He wanted to hit me, I was just defending myself."
"You're talking nonsense." Albert retorted angrily, "Clearly, you were the one who started by insulting people and harassing the girls in our class."
"I just wanted to chat with her." The tall boy snorted, "Who says I can't talk to girls? None of your business, damn it, I bet your mom really got screwed by a man."
"I'll screw your mom." Albert, seeing the other person still insulting, wanted to rush forward again, but was stopped by Kevin. If they fought again, it would only make things worse.
"Enough." The male teacher turned to Laura and Lucy, "What really happened with you two?"
Lucy said, "Teacher, this boy was deliberately playing basketball in front of us, almost hitting Laura. Albert and the others couldn't stand it and came to help, but then this boy started insulting people."
The male teacher turned to the boy and said sternly, "That was wrong of you. What's your name, and which class are you from? Get your parents here."
"I'm Jeremy, my brother is Douglas." The boy said arrogantly, "My parents won't come, should I have my brother come to see you?"
"What? Your brother is Douglas?" The male teacher's face changed, and he quickly said, "Forget it, I see this is a misunderstanding. Go back to class."
Jeremy sneered, provocatively stared at Kevin, and then left the office nonchalantly.
“Why let him go?” Albert said indignantly, “He was clearly harassing the girls in our class.”
The male teacher sighed, "You don't know, Douglas is a well-known gangster in West Street, with dozens of hooligans under him. He's also connected to Jasper. I'm doing this for your own good. If you offend Douglas, your days won't be easy."
Kevin and Albert's faces changed. They hadn't heard of Douglas, but they knew Jasper, the most famous thug in the city. Half of the city's underworld listened to him, even the county public security bureau couldn't touch him. They were just high school students, not daring to mess with Jasper.
"Alright, go to the infirmary and be careful of Jeremy in the future." The male teacher sighed, "These kinds of students are just troublemakers, whoever gets involved with them will be unlucky."
The four of them left the office. Laura looked at the blood on Kevin's mouth and said worriedly, "Kevin, let's go to the infirmary first, your mouth is bleeding."
Kevin glanced at Albert, wiped the blood from his mouth, and said, "I'm fine, this little injury is nothing. Let's go back to the classroom, it's almost time for class."
With that, he headed towards the classroom.
Albert, seeing Laura only concerned about Kevin, felt a bit upset. If it wasn't for Laura being harassed by that boy, he wouldn't have stepped in. But now he was the one beaten up, and Laura didn't even say a word.
On the other hand, Lucy said, "Albert, is your nose okay? Maybe you should go to the infirmary."
"I'm fine, no need to go." Albert felt a warmth in his heart. Finally, someone remembered him, but it was Lucy, not Laura.
Kevin walked into the classroom and noticed the boys looking at him with admiration, even the class monitor Ivan's eyes had changed. He sat at his desk, and a few boys he usually played basketball with gathered around, discussing. It turned out that the boy named Jeremy was a senior sports student, always unruly, often fighting, and harassing girls. But because his brother was Douglas, everyone tolerated him, no one dared to provoke him. But Kevin dared to fight him.
"Kevin, you're awesome. Heard you messed up Jeremy." A boy patted Kevin's shoulder, "You've made our freshman class proud. From now on, no one will dare to underestimate our Class 57."
"Yeah, big brother is mighty. We'll follow big brother from now on. Big brother is the toughest guy in our Class 57." Another boy flattered.
Even the girls in the class, hearing that Kevin stood up for Laura and Lucy against the gangsters, now looked at Kevin with admiration. This made Albert even more frustrated. Wasn't he the first one to stand up? But he was beaten down by the opponent due to his lack of strength.
Seeing the boys praising him, Kevin couldn't help but feel a bit helpless. He wasn't a reckless hothead. If he had known about Jeremy's background, maybe he wouldn't have fought directly but stopped Albert to avoid a conflict with the gangsters.
Now, he seemed to have accidentally become a hero for justice. He shook his head helplessly. He didn't want to be a leader, let alone dominate the city like Jasper. If trouble arose, he would eventually be caught by the police. It was no longer the era of gangsters; having money was the real power. Even big shots like Jasper were now focusing on making money.
