Chapter 1695
Maurice gently rubbed her chest, still feeling a tingling sensation where Kevin had touched her. As a woman in her forties, she was at the peak of her sexual desire. Her husband was always busy with work, and their sex life was pitifully infrequent and unsatisfying, leaving her perpetually unfulfilled and resorting to masturbation to solve the problem.
Maurice suddenly had a wild thought but quickly shook her head, her ears burning. No, absolutely not. She was the wife of the County Executive, how could she possibly seduce a teenage boy? That was absurd.
But thinking about Kevin pressing his body against hers, she couldn't help but feel a rush of heat. Her long-neglected body was desperate for satisfaction.
Maurice bit her lip, her eyes flickering with indecision. Growing up with a father who was a high-ranking official, she had matured faster than her peers and could always find solutions to any problem.
Even her husband, Armando, would sometimes seek her advice, joking that she was more capable than many men. But when it came to matters of the heart, she was lost and indecisive. Beneath her strong exterior, she was just a normal woman craving a fulfilling sex life.
She had always seen Kevin as a junior, but ever since he stayed at their house, her view of him had changed. She began to see him as a man, especially after that time he massaged her and secretly touched her inappropriately. She hadn't stopped him, implicitly allowing his advances, and things had spiraled out of control.
If only Armando had a body like Kevin's, she wouldn't have to envy others. Maurice sighed deeply. She wasn't a teenager anymore; she couldn't risk an affair with Kevin for a fleeting moment of pleasure.
Besides, she wasn't sure what Kevin thought. Maybe he was just curious about a woman's body due to his teenage hormones. If she made a move, he might be scared off. It wasn't worth the risk, and it wasn't in her nature to be reckless.
After much contemplation, Maurice decided to suppress her impulses. She never did anything that would put her in a vulnerable position. Letting Kevin stay at their house had already been an irrational decision. She couldn't betray her husband or her daughter. It was best to let it all fade away.
It was laughable, really. A woman in her forties having inappropriate sexual thoughts about a boy.
Kevin walked to the pool and saw Laura and Lucy playing in the water. He grinned and said, "Hey, what are you guys doing? Why aren't you in the hot tub?"
"Speak for yourself," Laura swam to the edge, her body wrapped in a swimsuit, exuding youthful energy. Her long legs splashed in the water, and her round, firm buttocks were tempting to touch. "We looked for you and Albert, but you were both gone. Come clean, were you two lured away by some other pretty girls?"
"No way, you two are the prettiest girls around," Kevin chuckled, thinking to himself that he had indeed been lured away, but not by a young girl—by a mature, alluring woman.
"Stop joking. Where's Albert?" Lucy pouted. "He promised to join us in the hot tub, but he disappeared."
"Oh, I was playing video games. No idea where he went," Kevin said nonchalantly, thinking Albert was probably still with Cynthia. He doubted Albert had succeeded with her, given Cynthia's shrewdness.
"What game were you playing?" Laura asked, giving Kevin a curious look. "And why are you all dressed up?"
"Uh, I felt a bit cold. Aren't you guys cold?" Kevin stammered. He had been bitten several times by Evelyn, and his back had scratch marks. He didn't dare to undress, wondering how he would explain it to Audrey tomorrow. He had gone wild with Evelyn tonight.
"No, we're not cold," Laura and Lucy shook their heads, finding Kevin's behavior odd.
As they chatted, Albert walked over. Lucy complained a bit, but Albert quickly placated her. Kevin watched, thinking how even a smart girl like Lucy could act foolishly in love. Love truly made people blind.
The four of them watched a movie for a while. Laura and Lucy got tired and went back to their room. The room had two bedrooms: Evelyn and Patty shared one, Laura and Lucy shared another, and Kevin and Albert slept on the living room floor.
Kevin saw several missed calls from Audrey on his phone and went to the balcony to call her back.
"Hey, Audrey, what's up?"
"Nothing much. Just wondering when you'll be back," Audrey's voice was calm.
"Oh, we're going skiing tomorrow and then heading back."
"Having fun?"
"Yeah, it's okay," Kevin said vaguely, sensing something off in Audrey's tone. Maybe she was upset he hadn't invited her. "Audrey, we should come here together sometime. It's pretty fun."
"No need. I've already made plans with Alissa and Kimberly. Grace might join us too," Audrey said.
"Grace too?" Kevin was surprised. How did Grace end up with Audrey?
"Yeah, the more, the merrier. Why, is there a problem?" Audrey asked.
"No, just curious. I thought Grace didn't like swimming," Kevin said, thinking this must be Alissa's idea. If Grace and Audrey got closer, his dream of a foursome might come true sooner. He needed to discuss this with Alissa.
A foursome—every man's dream. Grace, Alissa, Audrey—the perfect combination. He wondered if he could handle it. Adding Kimberly would make it even more thrilling.
Kevin tried to calm himself. It wasn't a done deal yet. He needed to stay cool.
Hearing Audrey's breathing on the phone, Kevin felt a pang of guilt. Audrey was alone at home while he was here fooling around with Evelyn. It was shameful. "Audrey, I miss you. Do you miss me?"
"I don't believe you. You didn't even answer my calls," Audrey felt a wave of sadness, almost revealing her own humiliating experience but held back. Telling Kevin now wouldn't change anything. The past was the past.
"I was swimming and couldn't take my phone," Kevin quickly explained, thinking women were always unreasonable.
"Forget it. I'm tired. We'll talk when you get back. Goodnight," Audrey hung up, leaning weakly against the bed, unable to sleep. The day's events replayed in her mind. The wind howled outside, making eerie sounds in the night. She was glad Abel was in the next room; otherwise, she would have been scared.
Next Monday was the start of the holiday break. This semester had flown by. She was already twenty-six, nearing thirty, and her life was a mess. Her marriage was a dead end, estranged from her husband, and she had an illicit relationship with Kevin. Only her career showed some promise, having earned an intermediate title early. But was this the life she wanted?
