Chapter 868 The Affair Exposed
Grace opened her eyes and saw her son standing in front of her with a slightly panicked expression. She sat up, tidying her disheveled hair, and lazily asked, "Andy, you're back? Did you deliver the items?"
"I did. Grandpa ate two pieces and said they were delicious," Andy replied, his eyes lingering on his mother's curvaceous body under her nightgown, though his erection quickly subsided.
"Alright, go back to your room and do your homework. Remember to drink plenty of water in this hot weather, don't get heatstroke," Grace casually instructed. Once her son returned to his room, she felt she hadn't slept enough and was about to go back to her room for a nap when she heard a knock on the door.
She was a bit surprised. Kevin had just left, her son was in his room, and her husband was at the store. Who could be knocking at this time? When she opened the door, her face darkened, and she coldly said, "It's you?"
The man in front of her was Chase, a school administrator and her ex-boyfriend. He had abandoned her for another woman for the sake of his career. Last time he came to her house, he pestered her about getting back together, and she nearly killed him. She couldn't believe he had the nerve to come back and harass her.
Seeing Grace's unfriendly expression, Chase quickly explained, "Grace, listen to me. I know you don't want to see me. I'm sorry about last time; I didn't think it through. I apologize."
"There's no need," Grace replied bluntly. "Chase, we're just colleagues. You're the dean, and I'm the PE teacher. We have nothing to do with each other. Don't come to my house again. I don't want my husband to misunderstand."
"Grace, don't worry. I won't ruin your family. I regret what happened back then. I did all those things to make amends for the hurt I caused you," Chase said sincerely. "I know you don't believe me, but I want you to know that I've divorced my wife and resigned from First High School. I just wanted to say goodbye. I won't bother you again. Take care!" With that, he turned and left.
"Wait a minute," Grace was stunned. After Chase took leave, it was soon summer vacation, and they had no contact. She didn't expect he would make such a significant decision. By the time she came to her senses, Chase was already downstairs. She hurriedly chased after him and stopped him at the entrance of the apartment building.
"Grace, is there something else?" Chase asked in surprise when he saw Grace chasing after him.
"Chase, I'm not a petty woman. Let's put the past behind us," Grace sighed. "Take care of yourself." No matter how much she hated the man in front of her, they had once been in a relationship. Chase was her first love. Since he had repented and made substantial changes, she didn't want to hold a grudge.
"Thank you, Grace. My biggest regret in life is losing such a good woman like you," Chase said with a look of deep regret. "Can we have one last hug, like we used to?"
Looking at Chase's haggard face, with gray hairs at his temples, it was clear he had suffered a lot recently. Grace's heart softened. After hesitating, she hugged Chase, just as they often did when they were in love, but with entirely different feelings now.
"Grace, I regret it so much. I wish I could go back to when we first met. I would never let you get hurt. I would make you the happiest woman in the world," Chase said, holding Grace tightly, tears streaming down his face.
"Alright, Chase, you're a man, don't cry. It's embarrassing," Grace said helplessly, struggling to breathe from his tight embrace and worried about being seen by neighbors. "Enough, saying these things now is pointless."
If Chase hadn't been so heartless back then, she wouldn't have been so devastated and tried to drown herself. Given her qualities, even if she didn't choose Chase, many male teachers at the school would have pursued her. She could have picked anyone with her eyes closed, and they would have been better than Byron. But she was so deeply hurt by Chase that she lost faith in men and married Byron out of spite. But now, Chase regretted it, and she was no longer the young, vibrant teacher she once was.
At that moment, a short figure walked into the community. Seeing the scene in front of him, his face changed dramatically. It was Grace's husband, Byron. He had gone to the store to tidy up, preparing for the grand opening tomorrow. After finishing up, he thought it was getting late and decided to go home early to spend time with his wife. After all, the recent trip had been exhausting, and he hadn't had the energy to be intimate with his wife. Now that he was home, he was eager to make up for it. Thinking about his wife's voluptuous figure, he felt a surge of excitement and couldn't wait to get home. But he never expected to see his wife hugging another man in broad daylight in the community.
Byron's face turned livid with anger, his lips trembling. He was about to rush over and confront his wife but stopped when he recognized the man's profile.
The man was none other than Grace's ex-boyfriend, Chase. Before Grace and Byron got married, she had told him everything about her relationship with Chase. So Byron was very familiar with Chase. Sometimes, when he went to First High School to find Grace, he would often run into Chase.
Byron had mixed feelings about Chase. He hated him for hurting his wife and taking her virginity. But if Chase hadn't abandoned Grace, Byron would never have married such a beautiful woman. From this perspective, he shouldn't hate Chase; he should thank him.
In the early days of their marriage, Byron was so excited that he couldn't sleep at night. Seeing his beautiful wife lying beside him felt like winning the lottery. The first time he was intimate with Grace, her tall, voluptuous, fair-skinned body looked like a model from a calendar. He was so nervous that he didn't dare to touch her. Grace had to help him undress and guide him through his first sexual experience. As he climaxed and ejaculated into her, he was overwhelmed with emotion, feeling like the luckiest man alive to have such a beautiful wife.
Whenever he went out with his tall wife, Byron felt a sense of inferiority, thinking he didn't deserve her. People on the street would point and whisper about them. Eventually, he stopped going out with her to avoid the stares and comments. But Grace had always been a devoted wife with no scandals. Yet today, seeing her hug Chase, Byron's mind was in turmoil. He didn't know how long they had been seeing each other or what he should do now.
Byron didn't dare let his wife notice him. He quickly hid behind a tree, watching his wife and Chase embrace. They looked so perfect together, like a loving couple, while he felt like a ridiculous clown.
Though the hug lasted less than a minute, it felt like an eternity to Byron. Soon, he saw Chase let go of his wife, say a few words, and leave the community. Grace looked around nervously, seemingly relieved when she saw no one, and then returned to the apartment building.
Byron slowly emerged from behind the tree, staring at the window of their second-floor apartment. He didn't know if he should go up or how to face his wife. Thinking about their years together, he suddenly felt he might have misunderstood her. Grace wasn't a scheming woman. If she was unhappy with him, she would have told him, not kept it a secret. Maybe she and Chase were just talking about work, and the hug meant nothing. If they were having an affair, they wouldn't be hugging at the entrance.
With this thought, Byron felt a bit relieved, convincing himself that a hug between former lovers wasn't a big deal. As long as she didn't sleep with Chase, he would pretend he hadn't seen anything.
Byron trudged back home, finding the living room empty. He walked to the bedroom door and peeked inside, seeing his wife sleeping on the bed. Her thin nightgown couldn't hide her curvaceous, sexy body. Her thick hips pressed together to form two ovals, and her fair legs were slightly bent, exuding a mature woman's allure. Thinking about how few men in his hometown could marry such a beautiful wife, Byron sighed, deciding to forget what he saw. As long as she didn't go too far, he would endure the humiliation.
Byron walked into the bathroom and saw a large basin with soaked bed sheets. He was puzzled. Grace had just changed the sheets last night. Why were they being washed so soon?
Not wanting to disturb his wife's sleep, he squatted down to wash the sheets. But as he unfolded them, a pair of flesh-colored pantyhose fell out.
Byron picked up the pantyhose, recognizing them as the pair Grace bought during their recent trip, costing over a hundred dollars. He had been a bit reluctant to spend that much, but seeing how happy she was, he didn't say anything. After all, she had endured a lot over the years. He didn't know Grace bought the pantyhose for another man.
But why were the new pantyhose already being washed? Byron shook his head, not thinking much of it, and started washing them. But as he washed, he noticed a hole in the crotch area. He was stunned. The store clerk had assured them that the pantyhose were made of special, durable material that couldn't be torn easily and would last a long time.
Thinking about the hug he saw earlier, Byron's suspicions grew. He sniffed the crotch area of the pantyhose, and despite them being soaked, he could still smell the familiar scent of semen. His hands trembled. He couldn't believe his wife had actually slept with Chase in their bedroom. This was a blatant challenge to his manhood!
