Chapter 318 Big Trouble
The store was bustling with people browsing for swimsuits. The owner, a bald middle-aged man, was beaming with joy at the thriving business. Kevin approached him and said, "Boss, we'd like to buy swimsuits, one for men and one for women."
The owner glanced at Kevin and impatiently replied, "Men's swimsuits are over there, take a look for yourself. Prices are marked."
Suddenly noticing Audrey standing nearby, the owner was instantly drawn to her alluring figure. He enthusiastically approached her, "Ma'am, not sure what kind of swimsuit you're looking for—one-piece, bikini, my store has the best selection, top quality, fair prices. Let me recommend a few for you to try."
As he spoke, his eyes couldn't help but sneak glances at Audrey's neckline, almost drooling.
"No need, we'll choose on our own," Kevin, now furious, saw through the owner's lecherous behavior. His attitude had changed drastically upon seeing Audrey. He firmly rejected the owner's offer, determined to pick out the swimsuit himself. It was his first time accompanying Audrey for a swim, and he wanted to be the one to choose for her; no one else had that privilege.
Feeling awkward, the owner left as Kevin hastily grabbed a pair of men's swim trunks and a cap. He then led Audrey to the women's swimwear section. Compared to the men's area, the women's section was vibrant with colors—red, pink, crimson, purple, yellow—various hues and styles galore.
Kevin was dazzled by the array of choices, finding every swimsuit appealing on Audrey's perfect figure. Her tall stature, ample bosom, shapely hips, and long legs made any swimsuit look stunning on her; she was a natural clothes hanger.
Most suits were traditional one-pieces, with few opting for the more provocative bikinis. Kevin, however, couldn't take his eyes off a few tantalizing bikinis, imagining how they would accentuate Audrey's curves, a sight to behold.
Audrey, noticing Kevin's excitement, couldn't help but chuckle. Frowning, she urged him, "Kevin, once you've picked your swimsuit, stop dawdling. How about you grab some snacks from the convenience store? Swimming can be tiring, and we might get hungry later. Hurry up and go. Otherwise, I'll head back."
Under Audrey's threat, Kevin reluctantly left the swimsuit store, pondering what swimsuit Audrey would choose. Would it be a modest one-piece or a sexy bikini? He secretly hoped for the latter, yet hesitated at the thought of others ogling Audrey's alluring figure. With conflicting emotions, he headed to a nearby convenience store, purchasing drinks, cookies, and chocolates.
As Kevin finished shopping and turned to find Audrey, he noticed a couple passing by—a plump man and a petite, fair-skinned woman exuding a hint of melancholy. Despite her voluptuous figure, she carried herself with a sensual allure, tempting men to embrace her.
Kevin felt a headache coming on as he recognized the alluring woman as Evelyn, Albert's mother, accompanied by her husband, Barrett. The complicated part was Kevin's past physical relationship with Evelyn. However, as his relationship with Audrey blossomed, he distanced himself from Evelyn, feeling guilty towards Albert.
Though Albert had invited him over several times, Kevin always made excuses to avoid facing Evelyn. Unexpectedly encountering her at the water park today, Kevin tried to slip away upon seeing Barrett and Evelyn together. In his haste, he accidentally bumped into a man carrying a box of drinks, causing a commotion.
Evelyn, engaged in conversation with her husband, turned at the noise. Spotting Kevin, she trembled, a hint of joy in her eyes as she instinctively called out, "Kevin."
Rubbing his sore nose, Kevin faced Evelyn, feigning surprise, "Aunt, Uncle Huang, what brings you here?"
Evelyn wore a strapless mini dress, accentuating her voluptuous figure. Her ample bosom threatened to spill out, while sheer black stockings hugged her snow-white thighs. Despite her petite frame, she wore nearly ten-inch heels, towering over Barrett. With meticulous grooming, she appeared younger than her age, radiating a charm that even Audrey might envy.
"I heard there's a new water park here, so I wanted to check it out," Evelyn said, breaking free from her husband's arm. She gazed deeply at Kevin, a mix of love and resentment in her eyes. "Kevin, are you here to have fun too? Why are you alone?"
"Oh, someone gave me a ticket, so I thought I'd come take a look. Aunt, I won't disturb your time together," Kevin quickly made an excuse, scanning the area for Albert but finding no sign of him. Puzzled by Albert's absence, he brushed off the thought, more concerned about Audrey potentially showing up. With a casual excuse, he prepared to make his escape.
However, Barrett, who had been silent until then, suddenly suggested, "Kevin, you haven't eaten, have you? We're about to have a meal. Since you're alone, why not join us?"
Before Kevin could decline, Barrett, with unwavering enthusiasm, led him towards the restaurant across the way.
"No need, Uncle, I've already eaten," Kevin resisted, puzzled by Barrett's sudden warmth. Despite Barrett's previous coldness and attempts to shoo him away during their last encounter at Albert's home, Kevin found Barrett's sudden friendliness suspicious. Could Barrett have ulterior motives? Aware of his past encounters with Evelyn behind Barrett's back, Kevin felt uneasy and declined the invitation to dine together.
