"Bethany, what are you talking about?" Bethany blushed, knowing exactly what her son was suspecting. Frowning, she said, "Your great-uncle and your dad used to get along well. Your dad helped him a lot, so he remembers and always wants to help our family. Do you want to go or not?"
Kevin was conflicted. Going to City High School would definitely be better than staying in this city school, but it would mean being far from his mother, away from familiar school and friends, and having to adapt to a new environment, everything so uncertain.

"Well, how about this?" Seeing her son hesitating, Bethany smiled and said, "Tomorrow is the weekend. You can go to the city, meet Angus. Whether you decide to go or not, it's a kind gesture, and we shouldn't be impolite."
Bethany then gave Kevin Angus's address. Seeing that he lived in the faculty housing of the Normal College, Kevin was pleased. Audrey was currently training at the Normal College, so he could visit her on the way to see Angus, killing two birds with one stone.
"Alright, I've made dinner. Help yourself. I'll go check on the store."
After sorting out her son's affairs, Bethany couldn't shake off her worries about the store. Grace seemed a bit down when she left, and Bethany thought of replacing her to let her go home early.
Kevin was starving, so he wolfed down his meal, took a quick shower, and then went back to his room to study. He couldn't focus, though, as he was excited to see Audrey the next day. Her absence this past week felt like an eternity to him.
He wondered how Audrey would react when she saw him suddenly appear in front of her. The thought of Audrey overhearing him and Alissa having sex today made Kevin uneasy. If Audrey decided to ignore him tomorrow, it would be terrible. Although Alissa seemed strict, she was actually quite lenient towards him as long as he didn't go too far. Kevin remembered when Audrey found out about his affair with Evelyn and how she got upset for days. If it were Audrey, she would have probably cut ties with him long ago.
