Chapter 818: A Mind in Turmoil
"Lucas, are you in yet?" Audrey asked, feeling her husband's penis fumbling around aimlessly. She couldn't help but think that he really had gone too long without being intimate. In the past, he could enter her effortlessly, but now he couldn't even find the entrance.
"Just a moment," Lucas replied, adjusting his angle again. However, the head of his penis kept sliding up or down, never managing to penetrate the folds. He was sweating profusely from the effort, and his erection began to soften.
"Lucas, take your time. Don't rush," Audrey comforted him, knowing that men are particularly vulnerable at times like this and need a woman's support.
"I can do it," Lucas insisted, thrusting his hips against her, but his penis continued to soften, eventually shrinking to the size of a pinky finger, lying limply against her labia, unable to push through.
"Damn it, what's going on?" Lucas's enthusiasm evaporated. He couldn't bear to look at his wife. After half a year apart, this was supposed to be his moment to shine, but he couldn't even stay hard in front of her inviting body. He feared he might have developed erectile dysfunction from the long abstinence.
The thought of such a dire consequence chilled his heart. Could it be from visiting the bathhouse too often? But he wasn't even thirty yet. How could he be impotent so soon? He used to be able to have sex six or seven times a night and still go to work the next day full of energy. How had he deteriorated so quickly?
"Lucas, maybe you're just too tired and excited. It's okay, let's try again tomorrow," Audrey said gently, worried that he might develop a psychological burden.
"No, I want to try again," Lucas said stubbornly, holding her plump buttocks and kissing her breasts. He rubbed his limp penis against her hairy vulva. The full-body contact reignited his arousal, and his penis slowly began to harden again, pressing firmly against her folds.
"It's getting hard again, wonderful," Lucas exclaimed, almost ready to cheer. He quickly positioned his penis at her entrance, like a bull in heat. Audrey, stifling a laugh, guided his fumbling penis to her folds, her eyes filled with affection. "Alright, come on," she said.
It felt like they were newlyweds again—excited, nervous, and sweetly entwined. Everything seemed perfect and full of promise. But could they ever return to the time when they were completely in sync?
Seeing the anticipation in her eyes, Lucas felt immense pressure. If he couldn't enter her now, he would never be able to face her again. Holding his breath, he pushed the head of his penis against her labia, slowly parting her inner lips. The tight, deep folds awaited his conquest.
Just as Lucas was about to thrust fully into her, they heard a light knock on the window. "Audrey, are you there?" Terrence called softly.
Both of them froze. Lucas stopped moving, frowning at his wife, wondering why Terrence was looking for her.
Audrey, equally puzzled, called out, "I'm here, what is it?"
"Oh, is Lucas awake yet?"
"Not yet, what's the matter?" Audrey glanced at Lucas, who shook his head slowly.
"Lucas might have drunk too much at noon. I made some honey water for him. He should drink it when he wakes up, or his stomach might feel uncomfortable."
Audrey was speechless. She wondered if Terrence was deliberately interrupting them, but he seemed to mean well. She couldn't exactly open the door while naked. "Thank you, Terrence. Just leave it on the windowsill. I'll get it later."
"But the honey water will get cold outside. Open the door, and I'll bring it in," Terrence insisted.
Audrey sighed. "I'm still in bed and haven't dressed yet. Why don't you take it back, and I'll get it later?"
"No problem, I'll wait here. Just get dressed," Terrence replied.
Lucas was furious. This was clearly intentional. "Tell him to leave now. Don't let him wait," he whispered angrily.
"Terrence, you don't need to wait. I'm really tired and want to sleep a bit more," Audrey said quickly.
"Alright then, I'll leave the honey water on the windowsill. Don't forget to take it," Terrence said reluctantly before finally leaving.
After he left, Audrey and Lucas looked at each other in silence until Audrey burst into laughter, her breasts shaking with mirth.
"You can laugh, but I feel like crying," Lucas said through gritted teeth, looking at his now-soft penis. "That Terrence, I'm going to have a word with him."
"Forget it. He was just worried about you drinking too much. He meant well," Audrey said, shaking her head. "I told you we should wait until tomorrow, but you insisted. How could he know what we were doing?"
"Never mind him. Let's continue," Lucas said, pulling her close, ready to try again. But then there was another knock on the door. "Lucas, are you there? It's George. I need to get something. Is it convenient?"
Lucas froze, then sighed heavily. "George, give me a minute. I'll get dressed and open the door."
They quickly got dressed, and Lucas opened the door with a sullen expression. George looked apologetic. "Sorry to disturb you. I left my wallet under my pillow and need it to go out for dinner. I'll be quick."
Audrey smiled. "George, we're about to go out for dinner too. Why don't you join us? Let me treat you tonight."
"No need," George said, waving it off with a smile. "You two go ahead. I don't want to intrude on your time together." He grabbed his wallet and left.
Lucas turned to Audrey. "See how considerate George is? Not like that Terrence."
"Let's not dwell on it. Let's go eat," Audrey said, smiling and taking his arm. "I'm getting hungry."
As they headed downstairs, they heard someone calling, "Lucas, you're awake?"
Lucas turned to see Terrence, his mood instantly souring. "Yeah," he replied curtly, not wanting to engage.
"I brought you some honey water earlier. Did you drink it?" Terrence asked, smiling.
"Yes, I did," Lucas replied, trying to keep his irritation in check.
"Feeling better?"
"Much better," Lucas said, hoping Terrence would get the hint and leave.
Terrence continued, "I haven't eaten yet. Let's go together."
Audrey, understanding his character better after their earlier conversation, smiled. "Sure, let's go."
They went to a nearby barbecue stall, ordering a large spread and four bottles of beer. Despite his initial annoyance, Lucas began to warm up after a few drinks, chatting and laughing with Terrence.
Audrey, uninterested in their conversation about grand plans, took her phone and stepped aside. She called Alissa, chatting about school before asking, "Sis, have you seen Kevin lately?"
"Missing him already? Aren't you afraid your husband will get jealous?" Alissa teased.
"Just asking," Audrey said, blushing. "If you don't want to tell me, fine. I'll hang up."
"Don't be hasty. I was just kidding," Alissa said. "I've been too busy preparing for a training trip to the provincial capital. I haven't had time to see him. Why don't you call him directly? Didn't he get a phone? Or is there something wrong between you two?"
"No," Audrey sighed. "Sis, I'm so confused. I can't keep doing this. I don't want to betray Lucas. He's working so hard in Starhaven for our future. I can't be this selfish."
After a long silence, Alissa finally said, "Audrey, I've told you before, don't overthink things. Everyone's different. Either stop thinking about it or cut off ties with Kevin completely. This half-hearted approach is painful for everyone. It's better to end it quickly. You're in Starhaven now, so take this time to figure out what you really want."
Audrey felt a bit better after talking with Alissa. She looked at Kevin's number on her phone but decided not to call. Alissa was right; dragging it out would only hurt everyone. It was better to end things and return to a simple teacher-student relationship. But would Kevin accept that?
Returning to the barbecue stall, she saw Lucas and Terrence, flushed from drinking. She said, "Lucas, you've had enough. It's getting late. We should go back."
"What's the hurry?" Lucas slurred. "You go back if you're tired. I'll stay a bit longer with Terrence."
"Don't worry, sis. I'll make sure he gets back safely," Terrence assured her.
Audrey, feeling irritated, glared at Lucas before turning and walking back to the courtyard.
