Chapter 632 Shameless Villain
"Quentin, you are such a shameless scoundrel." Audrey took a deep breath, knowing that it was pointless to continue dealing with someone like him, and said in a low voice, "Get out of my sight right now. If you keep following me, I will call the police."
"Well, go ahead and call them," Quentin said with a smirk. "Is there a law that says I can't follow you? What can the police do to me when they arrive? Audrey, I'm sticking with you."
Audrey's face turned pale with anger, but she couldn't do anything about Quentin. She could only continue walking towards home, with Quentin driving alongside.
Just then, there was a loud noise from the car. Quentin quickly stopped and saw a shovel under the chassis. He noticed a janitor sitting by the roadside drinking water. Quentin rushed over and shouted, "Damn it, who allowed you to randomly throw shovels around? You've damaged my car, you owe me money."
The janitor sipped his drink slowly, glanced at Quentin, and disdainfully replied, "Who allowed you to drive without looking? You've crushed my shovel, I haven't asked you for compensation yet."
Quentin was furious and raised his fist to hit the janitor. But the janitor grabbed Quentin's wrist, twisted it, and threw Quentin to the ground. Stepping on his neck, the janitor menacingly said, "Believe me, I can end you right now."
Quentin screamed in pain. He never expected a janitor to fight back. Hearing the janitor's tone, he realized it wasn't a joke. He quickly begged for mercy and ended up paying the janitor a hundred dollars. Despite his arrogance towards ordinary people, he was no match for someone who was willing to go to extremes.
While Quentin was distracted by the janitor, Audrey took the opportunity to leave. However, she couldn't shake the feeling that the janitor seemed familiar, as if she had seen him somewhere before.
As Audrey walked home lost in thought, she didn't notice two men following her, whispering to each other. The two men were Ivan and Sean.
Seeing Audrey's curvaceous figure and slender legs under her skirt, Ivan couldn't help but drool. Among the female teachers at school, Audrey was undoubtedly the most beautiful. Alissa had a good figure but an ordinary face, while Vanessa, though flirtatious, lacked Audrey's cold and aloof demeanor that made people want to violate her.
Sean, on the other hand, was nervous. He whispered, "Ivan, why are we following Mrs. Johnson? What if she catches us?"
"Fool, don't you watch TV? People always scout before committing a crime. You need to familiarize yourself with Audrey's home environment to know how to strike," Ivan explained persuasively. "What if her neighbor is a cop?"
"I'm a bit scared. Maybe we should just forget about it," Sean suggested.
Sean grew more fearful as he thought about the consequences of being caught by the police. He didn't have the courage to commit such a crime, despite his feelings for Audrey.
"Look at you, so spineless," Ivan sneered at him. "If you don't make a move, I will. Don't regret it later."
"I'll do it then."
Sean panicked at the thought of Ivan beating him to it. He had been eyeing Audrey for almost a year, and he couldn't bear the thought of Ivan getting ahead of him.
The two men followed Audrey from a distance. As they reached an intersection, a van pulled up, and four or five men in white tank tops got out, surrounding Sean and Ivan.
"Hey, what are you guys up to?" Ivan frowned at the bald leader. "Do we have any issues?"
The bald man, Liu Changshun, who was Douglas's henchman, gave Ivan a slap and cursed, "Who are you trying to cozy up to? You're asking for trouble, messing with our boss's car."
"Misunderstanding, big brother, it's a misunderstanding," Ivan tried to explain, holding his face in pain. "When did I touch your boss's car?"
He knew that Jonathan's boss was Douglas, a notorious gangster. Although his father was a director at the finance bureau, he couldn't afford to provoke such a gang.
"Damn it, playing dumb, huh?" Jonathan slapped Ivan again, glaring at him. "It's not you, then is it me? Your name is written all over the car. You're quite bold, acting like a big shot in school. I'll teach you a lesson today."
He proceeded to slap Ivan several more times.
"Big brother, it's really not me, someone must be framing me," Ivan's face was swollen from the hits, and he mumbled, "When did I ever leave my name behind if I did something? Am I that stupid?"
"You're implying that I'm stupid, right? I'm deliberately framing you, is that it?" Jonathan sneered and slapped Ivan once more. He knew that Ivan was likely not the one who scratched the car, but Douglas had given him three days to find the culprit. Unable to do so, he had to beat up Ivan to show some results.
"Big brother, it's not what you think, you've misunderstood," Ivan cried, feeling helpless. He cursed the person who framed him countless times, wondering who was so cunning to leave his name behind.
"What are you waiting for? Teach them a lesson," Jonathan ordered his men, pointing at Ivan and Sean. "Let them learn a lesson."
The henchmen immediately surrounded Ivan and Sean, beating them mercilessly. They were much more brutal than Jonathan, and soon the two were lying on the ground, shouting in pain. Although people passed by, they were too intimidated by the gang's menacing appearance to intervene.
At that moment, a white BMW slowly approached. The window rolled down, revealing a beautiful woman with exquisite features and crystal earrings hanging from her fair earlobes. It was Natalie, the bar owner.
