Chapter 1502

Kevin wandered out of the neighborhood gate, feeling lost and dejected. The autumn wind was biting, yellow leaves fluttering down, and the street was deserted except for a few stray dogs loitering by the roadside, creating a desolate, end-of-the-world scene.

Where should he go?

Home? Bethany wasn’t there, and the thought of returning to an empty, cold house was unappealing. Audrey’s place? He wasn’t sure if she had cooled off yet, and showing up now might just be asking for trouble. Maybe Daisy’s house? It was almost Monday, so Daisy and Laura were probably back from the retreat.

But his mind was filled with the hauntingly beautiful image of Kimberly, and he didn’t want to face Daisy and Laura. He just wanted to be alone.

If only Bethany were home. Ever since she started her clothing company in Starfall Town, she had been completely absorbed in her work, sometimes going two or three weeks without calling him. It felt like she had forgotten about him. Even though he was living with Audrey now, she wasn’t his mother, and he missed the days when it was just him and Bethany against the world.

Just then, Kevin’s phone rang. It was Audrey. He quickly answered.

"Kevin, where are you?"

"At home, where else?" Kevin replied irritably. Audrey was great in many ways, but she had a short temper. It seemed like no woman was perfect; despite her stunning looks and figure, she lacked a gentle personality.

"Alright, come back. I was in the wrong last night. You have school tomorrow, so come sleep at my place," Audrey said softly.

What was going on?

Kevin was stunned. He wondered if he was hallucinating. Usually, after a fight, they would give each other the silent treatment for at least two or three weeks. Audrey was always proud and never apologized directly. What had changed today?

"Uh..."

"Just come back, we’ll talk later," Audrey said, her voice a mix of annoyance and affection, before hanging up.

Kevin didn’t know why Audrey’s attitude had changed, but he wasn’t about to waste the opportunity. If she was willing to forgive him, he’d be a fool not to go back.

He slung his backpack over his shoulder and started running down the empty street. Despite the chilly autumn wind, his heart felt warm.

By the time Kevin reached the alley, he was out of breath, sweating, and his knees felt weak. Despite the intense sessions with Natalie the previous week, he had spent the entire day and night with Kimberly, having sex almost ten times in less than twenty-four hours, shattering his personal record.

Of course, this wasn’t good for his body. By the end, his dick was numb, and what was once thick semen had become watery. A few more rounds, and he might have been completely spent.

"Audrey, I’m back," Kevin said weakly as he entered the living room.

"Kevin, what’s wrong?" Audrey came out of the bedroom, alarmed by his pale face and dark circles. She quickly touched his forehead, worried. "Are you sick?"

"No, I just didn’t sleep well last night. I’m not used to sleeping alone," Kevin said evasively. He hadn’t just slept poorly; he hadn’t slept at all, spending the entire night with Kimberly’s long, stocking-clad legs.

"You really left when I told you to," Audrey said, her eyes welling up. "You never listen to me like this. I was just upset and said a few things. Why did you take it so seriously? If you got sick, how would I explain it to Bethany?"

"Audrey, don’t cry. It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have made you angry," Kevin said, panicking at the sight of her tears. He quickly hugged her, trying to comfort her until she stopped crying.

Audrey pulled Kevin to the couch and said softly, "Kevin, I know I have a bad temper and often act childish. I’ll try to change. Just give me some time, okay?"

Kevin, touched by her gentle apology, quickly responded, "It’s okay, Audrey. You’re right to call me out. I know you do it because you care about me. Aside from my mom, you’re the one who looks out for me the most."

"Well, that’s not entirely true," Audrey said, blushing. "Alissa probably cares about you more than I do. Sometimes she has more patience with you than I ever could."

Kevin's curiosity was piqued. "Audrey, did Alissa say something to you?"

"Yeah, I was at school prepping some materials and talked to her about last night. She scolded me for being too hard on you," Audrey admitted, biting her lip. "Kevin, I wasn’t really mad at you last night. I've always had a grudge against Natalie. I felt she wasn’t our kind of person, and I worried that being around her would be bad for you. But now I think I might have overreacted. If you two were really involved, you wouldn’t praise her in front of me."

Kevin felt a pang of guilt, knowing he had indeed been involved with Natalie. He scratched his head awkwardly. "Audrey, you have a point. I’ll try to avoid her from now on."

"No need for that," Audrey said with a smile, holding his hand. "I know Natalie isn’t a bad person. She even helped me once. But she’s a businesswoman, and her way of thinking is different from ours. She’s very pragmatic and doesn’t follow the same rules. I’m just worried you might be influenced and think studying is useless."

Kevin finally understood Audrey’s concern. "Audrey, you’re worried Natalie might make me think studying is pointless. But she’s never said that. She actually regrets not studying more when she was younger and told me to study hard so I wouldn’t end up like her."

"Really? Natalie said that?" Audrey was surprised. She had always thought of Natalie as a wealthy but uneducated person. She didn’t expect her to have such insight.

"Of course. Don’t worry, Audrey. I know who cares about me," Kevin said with a grin. "Even if you scold me, I won’t leave you. I’m sticking with you for life."

"Why would you stick with me?" Audrey said, blushing. "I can't take care of you forever. You'll be off to college soon, and I'll still be teaching at Sunset Valley High."

"Then come to college with me," Kevin joked. "We can rent a place off-campus. You can cook and do laundry, and we can sleep together every night."

"Yeah, right! You want me to be your free maid?" Audrey huffed. "I don't have time to take care of you. You'll just have to live in the dorms."

They bantered back and forth, making up after their brief cold war. Kevin was grateful to Alissa for her role in their reconciliation. Without her, his life might have taken a different turn.

The next day, Kevin went to school still feeling the aftereffects of his indulgence. Kimberly's legs had been a temptation he couldn't resist, but he doubted he'd get another chance with her.

Suddenly, he saw Albert talking to Sean under a tree. Sean looked troubled and kept shaking his head until Albert slapped him on the back of the head. Reluctantly, Sean handed Albert a bag before walking away, looking dejected.

Curious, Kevin approached Albert and tapped him on the shoulder. "What are you up to, sneaking around?"

Albert jumped, then relaxed when he saw Kevin. With a smug look, he said, "Kevin, come to the bathroom. I've got something to show you."

Kevin followed Albert to the bathroom, where Albert pulled out a pair of pink lace panties. "These are Cynthia’s. They’re clean, though. I told Sean I wanted ones she just took off. He's trying to mess with me. I’ll deal with him later."

"Albert, maybe you should let it go. This is getting out of hand," Kevin said, feeling more at peace after reconciling with Audrey. "You’re going too far."

"No way. Sean’s sneaky. If we don’t keep him in check, who knows what he’ll do next," Albert said with a grin. "I’m doing this for you, Kevin. Whose side are you on? Don’t tell me you’ve got a thing for Cynthia. We agreed, no holding back this time. May the best man win."

Seeing Albert’s determined expression, Kevin couldn’t help but laugh. Albert’s confidence was through the roof, much like his own had been after his first time with Alissa. He understood the feeling.

Fine, let him have his fun, Kevin thought. He didn’t want to fight with Albert over Cynthia. He already had enough women in his life. There was no need to compete with Albert.
