"Oh, there was a concert by a celebrity in the city yesterday. Albert insisted on coming, so I brought him to see it. Since we had nothing else to do today, we decided to relax in the park."
Evelyn took off her sunglasses, her bright eyes full of charm, and said in a sweet voice, "Kevin, you haven't visited us lately. Are you really avoiding Auntie? You promised to visit whenever you had time. Men should keep their promises, you know."
Upon hearing Evelyn's words, Kevin felt awkward. He had regretted his actions after having rough sex with Evelyn in the water park restroom last time and promising to visit her. He felt guilty towards his friend and Audrey, so he had avoided going to Evelyn's house. Unexpectedly, he ran into her today in the city.
"Aunt, I've been really busy lately with upcoming exams. How about I visit during the summer break when I have more time?"
Kevin reluctantly explained. Faced with Evelyn's alluring charm, he couldn't bring himself to refuse and could only postpone the visit.
"Let's pinky promise. Whoever breaks it is a puppy."
Evelyn understood that Kevin was genuinely busy, especially since even Albert had been complaining about their teacher Alissa dragging classes. She didn't want to interfere with Kevin's studies, so she decided not to push him further.
Kevin reluctantly extended his hand to intertwine his fingers with Evelyn's fair and delicate ones. "He vanished in a puff of smoke. Let's not worry about him."
Evelyn took the opportunity to spend time alone with Kevin and took him to a nearby ice cream shop. She ordered a cola for Kevin and an iced coffee for herself, asking about Kevin's recent studies.
Upon learning that Kevin was in the top five of his class, Evelyn felt troubled. She said, "Kevin, you and Albert are classmates who are always together. How come your academic performance differs so much? I buy him everything he wants at home, but he still ranks so low. Can he be proud of such results? Kevin, with your excellent grades, can you help Albert?"
Kevin thought it was because Evelyn spoiled Albert too much, making it hard for him to focus on studying. However, he didn't dare say this to Evelyn. If she really confiscated Albert's computer and game console, Albert would be furious with him.
"Aunt, don't worry. Albert is just a bit playful," Kevin quickly replied. "By the way, my cousin is an English teacher. She said she could help both Albert and me with our studies at her place. It's up to Albert if he wants to join."
"Really? That's great," Evelyn's eyes lit up. She said sternly, "It's not about whether he wants to or not. If he doesn't show improvement this semester, I won't bother with him anymore."
"Don't worry, Aunt. Leave Albert to me," Kevin reassured her. "I promise to help him improve his grades to the top twenty by the end of this term."
Albert was smart but lacked interest in studying. His grades always hovered around the forties, but with a little effort, he could improve. So Kevin was confident in his ability to help.
"Kevin, if Albert really achieves good grades, Auntie will be very grateful to you."
Evelyn's eyes sparkled as she glanced seductively at Kevin and suddenly placed her hand on his thigh, gently caressing it. "I'll do anything for you, Kevin."
