Chapter 1745

Oliver was awake! And somehow, he had quietly made his way to the door!

Kevin's mind went blank. He had fantasized about making love to Daisy in front of Oliver, but now that it was happening, he was paralyzed with fear, unable to move while holding Daisy's hips.

Daisy, on the other hand, quickly regained her composure. She hurriedly turned around, grabbed a blanket to cover herself and Kevin, then spread her legs to create a space for Kevin to hide between them. She then tried to remain calm and said, "It's me. Come in."

The bedroom door slowly opened, and Oliver stood at the entrance, looking suspiciously at his wife lying in bed. "Why are you sleeping here?" he asked.

Under the blanket, Kevin lay between Daisy's thighs, his heart racing. If Daisy couldn't come up with a good answer and Oliver got suspicious enough to lift the blanket, they would be caught.

"It's because of you!" Daisy said, not missing a beat.

"What did I do?"

Oliver was confused. He had woken up needing to use the bathroom, and when he returned, he found Daisy missing from their bed. He first checked their daughter Laura's room, but she wasn't there. Then he heard some noise from the guest room and decided to check it out, only to find his wife inside.

"Of course, it's because of you," Daisy quickly came up with an excuse, sounding annoyed. "You were snoring so loudly that I couldn't sleep at all. I tried pushing you a few times, but it didn't help. What else could I do but come here to sleep?"

"Do I snore? I didn't know that," Oliver said, frowning. He genuinely didn't know he had this problem.

"Of course you don't know. You're asleep, how could you hear it?" Daisy said matter-of-factly. "I'll record it for you next time so you can hear it yourself. It's as loud as thunder. I've put up with it for a long time."

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Oliver said, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I'll sleep here, and you can go back to the bedroom. This bed isn't as comfortable as ours."

Kevin's heart started racing again. Neither of them was wearing clothes, and if Daisy got up, they would be exposed. She couldn't just walk out with the blanket, that would raise Oliver's suspicions.

"Forget it, it's late. I'm already settled here," Daisy said, not daring to get up. Even if she could find a way to get Oliver out and let Kevin sneak away, the bed sheets were already soaked from their activities. She couldn't let Oliver sleep on them. "You go back to sleep."

Hearing Daisy's somewhat lazy voice, Oliver suddenly felt a surge of desire. Instead of leaving, he took a few steps forward and said with a smile, "Honey, are you mad because I didn't satisfy you tonight? How about we try again now? I feel much more awake after that nap, and I promise it'll be better this time."

"Try what? I'm too tired to mess around with you," Daisy said, feeling a bit nervous. She clamped her thighs tightly around Kevin's body and held onto the blanket. "Let's talk about it another day. I'm sleepy."

"Alright then," Oliver said reluctantly. He was about to leave but then stopped and said, "By the way, the construction manager mentioned that there's an available unit at Cloudwater Haven. It's well-furnished and ready to move in, but it's a bit small, less than 1,200 square feet. The market price is $450 per square foot, but we can get it for 60% off. Should we buy it?"

"We're fine living here. Why do we need another house?" Daisy instinctively shook her head but then had a thought. She and Kevin needed a safe place to meet. The house was too risky, the office wasn't safe, and renting a hotel room was risky too. If they bought this place, it could be their secret spot. "Wait, that price is pretty good. Ask him for the floor plan. I want to take a look."

"Okay, I'll call him tomorrow. Are you planning to buy it? It's not as big as our current place."

Oliver was hesitant. Their current house was old but in good condition, and the maintenance fees were low. The new place might be too cramped for the three of them.

"It's fine. We can always rent it out. Our county is getting an upgrade soon, and property prices will go up. We won't lose money on this," Daisy said, becoming more convinced. She decided to buy the place. If Kevin and Laura ever wanted to move back to Harmony County, they could renovate it and give it to them as a wedding gift. If not, they could sell it for a profit.

She already saw Kevin as a potential son-in-law, but it was absurd that she had slept with him before her daughter Laura had even started a relationship with him.

"Yeah, that's true. Cloudwater Haven is a good development. The quality is reliable, and it comes with a parking space. It's a good deal," Oliver nodded.

Kevin, hiding under the blanket, felt stifled listening to their conversation about the house. He couldn't move and his face was pressed against Daisy's thigh, his nose almost touching her mons pubis. The scent of her arousal excited him, and he couldn't help but lick her vaginal opening.

"Ah!" Daisy was in the middle of asking about the neighborhood when she felt Kevin's wet tongue on her labia and let out a small cry.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Oliver asked, concerned. The room was dark, and even with the door open, he couldn't see much. He could only see Daisy lying in bed with the blanket covering her, her knees propped up. He had no idea there was someone else hiding under there.

"Oh, nothing. I just twisted my back a little," Daisy said, flustered. She quickly closed her legs, trapping Kevin's head, and reached under the blanket to pinch his ear, warning him to stay still.

"Did I go too hard on you earlier?" Oliver asked, not suspecting anything. Daisy had always been modest, and they had only consummated their marriage on their wedding night. Despite her being a star in the dance troupe and having many male admirers, there had never been any rumors about her. He believed that even if every woman in Harmony County cheated, Daisy would never betray him.

"Enough, let's not talk about this," Daisy said, blushing. She didn't want to discuss their sex life in front of Kevin, as it made her feel ashamed and reminded her of her infidelity.

"Why not? Laura's asleep, and we can't talk about our private matters?" Oliver said with a chuckle. "You know, you're still the same. Remember our wedding night? You refused to go to bed, saying you weren't sleepy, and stayed up until past midnight, dozing off in a chair. I had to carry you to bed. How are you still so shy after becoming a mom?"

Oliver's words brought back memories for Daisy. Their marriage had always been enviable, with no issues. Even though their sex life had been lacking in recent years, it was natural for middle-aged couples. Just like how no matter how much she exercised and took care of herself, her slim figure would eventually change, and her perky breasts would sag. Who would blame whom then?

"Oliver, I'm sorry," Daisy said, feeling guilty. She had not only cheated with Kevin but had also brought him into their home, without considering Oliver's feelings.

"Why are you apologizing?" Oliver was puzzled, sensing that Daisy's emotions were unstable tonight. "Alright, I'll go back. You rest well. I'll ask about the house tomorrow." He then left the room, closing the door behind him.

Kevin, suffocating under the blanket, waited until it was quiet before lifting it and taking deep breaths. "Daisy, you were quick on your feet. I was scared to death. If he hadn't knocked, we would have been caught."

But Daisy didn't respond. Kevin couldn't see her expression in the dark, so he reached out to touch her breast, feeling a bit dejected. "Daisy, did you and Oliver have sex? What did he mean when he said you were on top?"

Still, Daisy remained silent. Kevin sensed something was wrong and touched her face, feeling wetness. Daisy was crying!

Startled, he quickly hugged her shoulders and whispered, "Daisy, what's wrong? Don't scare me. Did I say something wrong?"

Daisy sighed, her voice choked with emotion. "I'm fine. I just feel a bit sad. Kevin, do you think I'm a shameless woman for seducing another man behind my husband's back?"

"Don't say that, Daisy."

Kevin was taken aback. He hadn't expected Daisy to ask such a direct question. Although she had told him about her unsatisfying sex life with Oliver, it didn't justify her betrayal. He couldn't lie to her, but as the beneficiary, he had no right to judge her.

What were they, really? An affair or true love? Maybe neither. Just a middle-aged woman and a young man seeking solace in each other.
