Chapter 236 No Comparison, No Harm

Audrey recalled that in the early days of their marriage, her husband could get hard several times in one night. But over time, his performance waned. Not only did the duration shorten, but after ejaculating, he would be so exhausted that he'd fall into a deep sleep, leaving Audrey feeling unsatisfied and somewhat resentful. When Jason decided to move south for work, Audrey didn't try too hard to stop him. If Jason had performed like Kevin , perhaps Audrey wouldn't have let him go so easily.

Regardless, she couldn't use Kevin 's penis as a replacement for her husband. Audrey knew that what she was doing was just deceiving herself. Her boundaries had already been pushed back repeatedly, with almost every part of her body except her vagina having succumbed. She could only cling to this last line to alleviate her inner anxiety and guilt. If her husband found out that she had an intimate relationship with a teenage boy, who knows how he'd react? He might even divorce her.

Thinking about divorce, Audrey felt a sudden sense of disorientation. She didn't know when the idea of divorce had started to linger in her mind, refusing to go away. Life after marriage hadn't been as wonderful as she had imagined. Although it was her choice, Audrey couldn't help but feel some regret. The warnings from her college roommates echoed in her ears. When she first got together with Jason, most people were against it.

Given Audrey's qualities, she could have found a better match. Her two ex-boyfriends, who had dated her before, still couldn't forget her and wanted to reconcile. But Audrey was the type who, despite appearing gentle, wouldn't easily change her mind once she made a decision. To her, a breakup was a breakup with no lingering attachments. She couldn't bring herself to go back to an ex. So, no matter how her ex-boyfriends cried and pleaded, Audrey remained resolute and chose to be with Jason.

In hindsight, perhaps she had been too idealistic. She believed that love was pure and beautiful, untainted by any practical considerations. Compared to her two ex-boyfriends, Jason had no advantages. Maybe his only appeal was his determined personality, which Audrey found compelling at the time. She was convinced that with their joint efforts, they could build a better life together.

But now, all those dreams seemed like illusions. After moving back to a small town with her husband, she lost touch with her old classmates. Those who stayed in touch often had reunions, but Audrey, the former campus beauty, was gradually forgotten. She didn't want to reconnect with people from her past, as her current life was far from ideal, proving how wrong her choices had been. Being a proud person, she didn't want others to mock her, so she silently endured it all.

Her family life was unsatisfactory, and her work life was equally troubling. She had to deal with the lecherous gazes of male colleagues and the sarcastic remarks of female colleagues. The ambitions of Oliver added to her unease. She felt lost, unsure of what to do next. Perhaps she shouldn't have stayed in this small town, dealing with these people.

Audrey had once thought about pursuing a graduate degree to leave, but Jason vehemently opposed it, considering it impractical. They had a big argument, and eventually, for the sake of the family, Audrey gave up on the idea. She even threw away her study materials at Jason's insistence. It was then that she started to harbor resentment towards her husband. His decision to move south was just a catalyst for her discontent.

Seeing Audrey agree to sleep with him, Kevin was thrilled. When Audrey approached the bed, he instinctively moved to the side, making space for her. Audrey handed him a blanket to cover himself with and lay down on the other side, leaving about ten centimeters between them. Audrey's bed was large, nearly two meters wide, so it didn't feel crowded.

Kevin turned to look at Audrey, who lay on her back with her hands on her abdomen. Her full, white breasts rose prominently, seemingly unaffected by gravity. He couldn't help but swallow, his throat dry. Audrey's large breasts were incredibly alluring from any angle, making him want to pounce and squeeze them.

"Kevin , what are you doing? I'm warning you, don't get any bad ideas," Audrey said, noticing his intense gaze. She pulled the blanket up to cover her ample chest, preventing Kevin from staring.

"Cousin, I can't sleep," Kevin said with a cheeky grin. He felt a bit disappointed that he couldn't see the enticing view. His erection, unsatisfied, still stood firm, causing him discomfort.

"Then talk to me," Audrey suggested, turning her body to face Kevin . Her bright eyes looked at him, but her movement brought her breasts closer, creating a deep cleavage that made Kevin 's mind wander.

"Cousin, don't you feel scared sleeping alone at night?" Kevin quickly found a topic. He had always thought that Audrey living alone was unsafe, especially with a suspicious neighbor. The thought of Christopher's shifty eyes made Kevin uneasy. Although he had driven Christopher away, Kevin felt that as long as the man lived next door, it was dangerous. He needed to find a way to make Christopher give up completely.

"At first, I was scared, but I got used to it," Audrey sighed. She had long wanted to move. Her current house was a single-story building, not as comfortable as an apartment, and the neighborhood wasn't great. The streets were dark at night, and there were frequent thefts.

Thinking about the night a masked man assaulted her, Audrey felt a shiver. Since she had injured him that night, the masked man hadn't appeared again, and crime in the city seemed to have decreased. Maybe it was due to the recent police crackdowns.

"Cousin, I think you're quite lonely living here. Why don't you move to our house?" Kevin suggested, his eyes lighting up. "You stayed at our place before. We have plenty of space. You could stay with my mom, or if you're uncomfortable with that, you could take my room, and I'll sleep in the living room."

"I can't do that. I'm not a part of your family. It wouldn't be appropriate," Audrey shook her head, smiling. She understood Kevin 's intentions. Moving in with Kevin 's family would mean seeing his mother daily. Given her complicated relationship with Kevin , it would only increase her guilt and awkwardness if Bethany found out about their relationship; who knows how she would react.

"It's no big deal. We're relatives, after all. No one would say anything. Besides, if my mom gets busy, she won't have time to take care of me. You could help out. You wouldn't want to see me starve, would you?" Kevin persisted, trying to convince Audrey. If she moved in, he would have more opportunities to be with her and avoid Christopher's watchful eyes.

"I told you to come over for lunch, didn't I? Don't push your luck. I said no, and that's final," Audrey considered it carefully but still refused Kevin 's offer. Moving in with him would change everything. She was a married woman, and even though they were relatives, it wouldn't be appropriate.
