Chapter 22 Kevin was thrilled at this unexpected invitation
Kevin was overjoyed that Audrey agreed. He had finally taken the first step to get closer to her. Now, he could visit her under the pretext of seeking help, though he had to keep it a secret from Alissa.
Audrey had her reasons for agreeing. She genuinely thought Kevin was smart and promising. She was willing to help any student with a passion for learning, regardless of whether they were in her class. Additionally, she hoped to divert Kevin's attention from Alissa. She had noticed Kevin frequently visiting Alissa and acting suspiciously around her. Audrey didn't want any scandal involving her friend, so she planned to subtly redirect Kevin's focus.
Unfortunately, Audrey didn't know that Kevin and Alissa had already slept together, and Kevin's next target was her. By agreeing to help him, she was unknowingly making it easier for him to get close to her.
Soon, the repairman finished his job. Audrey handed the repairman two dollars, and he smiled and said, "The glue needs a few hours to fully function. If you have any shoe problems, come to me. I'll give you a discount."
Kevin glanced at the repairman, thinking what a nice dream he was having. He had already ogled Audrey's legs for a long time and still didn’t have enough.
Audrey hesitated. Although her home wasn't far, she worried the heel might break again on the way. But she couldn't wait here for hours.
Kevin quickly suggested, "Ms. Johnson, how about me giving you a ride home? If the heel breaks again, it will be a trouble."
Having already ridden with Kevin once, Audrey was quick enough this time. She sat on the bike again. This time, in a more comfortable way, she wrapped her arms around Kevin's waist and rested her soft body against his back. If it weren't for Kevin's school uniform, people might think they were a couple returning home from work.
Audrey lived in the South District, not far away, but the road had some rough patches that made her buttocks sore. However, Kevin thoroughly enjoyed the ride, relishing the feeling of Audrey's breasts pressing against his back. He wished the entire route was like this.
After pedaling up a slope, they reached the alley where Audrey lived. It was a narrow, dark alley with no streetlights, which made it look a bit scary.
"Why is it so dark?" Kevin frowned, worried about the possibility of encountering any troublemakers.
"There used to be a light, but some kids broke it, and it hasn't been fixed," Audrey explained, feeling helpless. She always felt a bit scared walking home through the dark alley.
"Ms. Johnson, let me walk you in," Kevin offered. He was unable to see the path clearly so he let Audrey stay on the bike while he pushed it to her door.
Audrey got off the bike and, seeing Kevin's sweaty face in the moonlight, hesitated before saying, "You look exhausted. Why don't you come in and rest for a while before heading back?"
Since her husband went on a business trip, Audrey had never let any strange man into her home, both to avoid any potential harm and to prevent neighbors from gossiping. However, after today's interaction, she found Kevin to be a nice student who had helped her a lot and even escorted her home. It seemed unkind not to show some hospitality. Plus, Kevin was just a student, so she wasn't worried about any rumors.
Kevin was thrilled at this unexpected invitation.
