The two of them walked into the conference room on the third floor, grabbed seats on one side, and started chatting quietly. After a bit, Oliver, a few vice principals, and some mid-level leaders came in.

There was some murmuring in the room, and then a vice principal read out a document about setting up a working group. Oliver was named the group leader, the other vice principals were deputy leaders, and the department heads were members. Alissa and Audrey were put in charge of prepping the application materials and coordinating with various education departments.
After the meeting wrapped up, Alissa and Audrey headed back to their office. Alissa sighed, "Did you catch that? Oliver's super serious this time. The working group is all higher-ups. I bet all the grunt work is gonna fall on us. How about this: come over at noon, and we'll figure out a plan and divvy up the tasks."

At noon, they grabbed lunch in the cafeteria and then went back to Alissa's office. After a long discussion, they decided Alissa would handle reviewing the materials, and Audrey would take care of proofreading and coordinating with the education departments.
Audrey stretched and stood up, "Alissa, I'm heading back now."
"Didn't sleep well last night? Was Kevin being a handful again?" Alissa teased, "How many times did you two get busy? Kevin's got so much energy, and you're so young, once is definitely not enough, right?"
"Alissa, can you not? We've been sleeping separately these past few days," Audrey blushed, trying to stop Alissa from teasing her more.
Seeing Audrey's face turn red, Alissa couldn't help but laugh, "Audrey, look at you blushing. It's no big deal. Now that you became the homeroom teacher and felt so stressed, you let Kevin help you relieve some of it. Kevin's all muscle, like a little tiger in bed. The other night, he almost broke my bones. "Alissa, seriously, stop it. We're at school," Audrey said, blushing even more, "You're a vice principal now. Aren't you worried someone will hear?"
"Alright, I'll stop," Alissa said, glancing at the time. "It's already one o'clock. Don't bother going back. Just crash on my bed for a bit. I'll work on the materials and wake you up when it's time."
"Okay," Audrey agreed, thinking it was too much hassle to go home. She went to Alissa's inner room, lay down on the bed, and soon fell asleep.
Alissa was going through the application documents from the meeting. They were pretty basic and left a lot of questions unanswered. She figured she'd need to touch base with the education department.
Just then, there was a soft knock on the door. Alissa knew it was Kevin and smiled, "Come in."
Kevin slipped into the office with a grin, "Still working hard, Alissa? Don't overdo it. How about a shoulder massage?"
"Sure," Alissa smiled and leaned back in her chair. She was feeling a bit worn out.

"We're working on some stuff," Alissa said, standing up with a playful smile, "Why aren't you home napping? What brings you here?"
