With this plan in mind, Kevin went downstairs. Toby and the others had returned to their room. Kevin went straight to their door and knocked. A boy opened the door, saw Kevin, and remarked, "Who are you looking for?"
"Is Toby here?" Kevin asked directly.
"Yes." The boy, intimidated by Kevin's presence, turned and called inside, "Toby, someone's looking for you."
"Toby, someone looking for you this late? Could it be Ms. Nguyen? She's always been nice to you." The peals of laughter came from inside.
Toby soon came over, saw Kevin at the door, and his face changed, thinking Kevin was there to cause trouble. But despite Kevin's imposing figure, they had the numbers, so Toby wasn't too worried. He snorted, "What do you want?"
Kevin saw the other boys peeking out and said quietly, "I have something to tell you. It's about Ms. Nguyen."
Then he turned to leave.
Toby quickly followed with curiousity. They walked to the stairwell, and Toby, with a stern face, asked, "What do you mean by what you said earlier?"
"Ms. Nguyen is your tutor, right?" Kevin asked nonchalantly.
"Yes." Toby nodded, "Kevin, I'm warning you, tonight's incident has nothing to do with Ms. Nguyen. If you have a problem, bite me. If you have the guts, let's settle this outside."
Toby was quite arrogant. Kevin looked at Toby, who was also involved with a female teacher. Kevin was just luckier. Otherwise, he might have only hooked up with Vanessa. The other female teachers were out of reach.
"You misunderstood. I'm not here to fight." Kevin smiled calmly, "I just saw Zane and Ms. Nguyen go upstairs. Ms. Nguyen didn't seem too happy. "Wait." Seeing Kevin about to leave, Toby called out, half-believing, "Did you really see Ms. Nguyen and Zane go upstairs?"
"Yeah," Kevin replied, feigning confusion, "I remember Ms. Nguyen is staying on this floor. Zane is in my room, so where else would they go upstairs? Unless they've booked another room, maybe to discuss competition matters. But then again, why wouldn’t they invite Ms. Mitchell and Ms. Johnson, who are also tutors?"
With Kevin's words, Toby's anger flared. He considered Maddy his woman. He had repeatedly told Maddy to stay away from Zane. Maddy had agreed, but now she was sneaking off to see Zane. Imagining Zane holding Maddy's supple body, Toby couldn't stand it anymore and ran upstairs.
