Chapter 883 Brothers Reconcile

"Albert, Lucy is a great girl. If you're really interested in her, Laura and I can help set you up," Kevin quickly said, hoping that if Albert and Lucy got together, he wouldn't feel so guilty.

"I'm not sure yet," Albert said, a bit embarrassed. "Kevin, to be honest, I chased Laura just because everyone else was. It became a habit. I was afraid people would laugh at me if I stopped, but I knew I had no chance. I should thank you for helping me let go of that burden. I feel much lighter now."

"Really? I wasn't lying when I said you and Laura weren't a good match. But you were so stubborn, you insisted on pursuing her even if it meant getting hurt. What could I do?" Kevin sighed. "Alright, let's consider this matter settled. As for Lucy, you should make your own decision. If you need my help, I'm here for you. I really think Lucy is a great girl, and it would be a shame to miss out on her."

"Of course, you don't need to tell me that," Albert laughed. "At least her chest is bigger than Laura's. Kevin, I remember you liked big boobs. Have your tastes changed? Do you prefer small ones now? I can't figure you out."

"Get lost! We share a pure friendship. You wouldn't understand," Kevin joked, laughing as he ended the call. But deep down, he felt a pang of reflection. He had thought Albert was foolish for chasing Laura, but wasn't he even more foolish for pursuing Audrey? It was a relationship that could never have a happy ending.

If only someone had woken him up earlier. Kevin took a deep breath. His dream had lasted a few months, but it was time to wake up.

Realizing it was getting late, Kevin quickly got ready and rushed to Kimberly's upscale residence. He knocked on the door, and when Kimberly opened it, she looked displeased. "Kevin, we agreed on 7:00 sharp. You're five minutes late. Even though this isn't a formal class, you should take it seriously."

"Kimberly, I accidentally overslept," Kevin explained carefully, seeing that she was upset.

"Alright, tonight you'll practice for an extra half hour. If you're late again, it'll be an extra hour," Kimberly said sternly, turning to walk inside. Today, she wasn't wearing the nightgown from the previous day but a dark-colored loungewear, covering herself completely. It seemed she was being cautious around Kevin. Despite this, her slim, sexy figure was still evident, with her rounded hips, perky breasts, and long legs exuding the charm of a mature woman. But Kevin wasn't in the mood to appreciate the view. He sat on the couch, mechanically reading from a tape recorder, his mind still foggy and unaware of what he was reading.

After a while, Kimberly came over to check his work. Seeing how poorly he was reading, she frowned and said, "Kevin, this won't do. You were reading better yesterday. Didn't I tell you to practice last night? Did you not practice at all?"

"I did practice," Kevin said weakly, unable to suppress a yawn, tears streaming down his face.

"What did you do last night?" Kimberly asked, scrutinizing him. "It's only a little past seven, and you're already sleepy."

Thinking about Audrey's harsh words from the night before, Kevin felt a wave of sorrow, and his tears began to flow uncontrollably.

"Kevin, what's wrong? Don't scare your teacher," Kimberly said, panicking as she handed him tissues to wipe his tears. "Did something happen at home? Tell me."

"Kimberly, I'm fine," Kevin said, looking at his young teacher's delicate face and clear, bright eyes. He suddenly felt the urge to confide in her about his inner pain. "I'm just feeling a bit down."

"It's okay. Take your time and tell me," Kimberly said, curious. In her impression, Kevin was usually an outgoing and lively boy, always cheerful. She had never seen him this down before. She wondered if she had been too strict with him. If Kevin developed a fear of coming to her house for lessons, her husband's plan to win Kevin over would fail.

"Kimberly, I have a secret I want to share with you, but you have to promise not to tell anyone," Kevin said seriously. He didn't know why, but among the female teachers he knew, Kimberly was the kind who wasn't stunning but was easy to trust.

"Don't worry, Kevin. I promise I won't tell anyone," Kimberly said, feeling a surge of joy. She had been worried about how to get closer to Kevin. As a teacher, she couldn't bring herself to flatter a student. But if Kevin was willing to share his secrets, their relationship would naturally change.

"Then let's make a pinky promise," Kevin said habitually, extending his finger.

Kimberly was taken aback but then smiled and extended her slender, white finger to hook with his. They shook their fingers, and she felt her heart fluttering.

"Alright, we've made the promise. Now you can tell me," Kimberly said, her face flushed as she quickly let go of his finger, trying to act nonchalant.

"Kimberly, I've fallen in love with someone," Kevin said hesitantly.

"There's nothing wrong with liking someone, as long as it doesn't affect your studies. Is she a girl from our class?" Kimberly asked, a bit surprised but soon smiling. She had thought it was some big secret, but it turned out to be just a case of early romance. Nowadays, kids matured early, and high school relationships were common. Although the school strictly prohibited student relationships, most teachers turned a blind eye, understanding that it was part of growing up.

"No," Kevin said, shaking his head sadly. If he liked a girl, it would be easier. Even if she had a boyfriend, it wouldn't matter. But he had fallen for a married woman, his cousin, and it was destined to be a futile pursuit.

"Oh, then she must be an upperclassman," Kimberly said, raising an eyebrow. Kevin, being more mature, likely wouldn't be interested in girls his age. Upperclassmen would be more appealing to him. "Does she know you like her?"

"Yes," Kevin said, recalling the first time he confessed to his cousin, her shy and hesitant expression that made his heart race. From then on, he fell hopelessly in love with this cold and proud woman, embarking on a path of no return.

"So you've told her, but she didn't accept?" Kimberly asked with a smile. Kevin was handsome, tall, and a good student. He should be popular with girls. Only an upperclassman might reject such a bright boy's confession.

"Not exactly. She didn't reject or accept. We've always been close, but recently she said we should separate," Kevin said, thinking of Audrey's harsh words. His heart ached, and his eyes reddened again.

"Ah, I see. Kevin, what kind of relationship do you two have?" Kimberly asked, puzzled. Kevin had confused her. Was it that he hadn't explained clearly, or was she misunderstanding? The girl seemed to be playing games with him.

Nowadays, many girls kept multiple boys around, maintaining ambiguous relationships to use them as free ATMs. Kevin might have encountered such a manipulative girl.

"I don't know," Kevin said, feeling lost. He didn't know how to define his relationship with Audrey. Were they teacher and student? Cousins? Lovers? Or nothing at all? He felt like an uninvited guest who had accidentally intruded into Audrey's life.

"Kevin, as a teacher, I don't encourage you to date during your student years. This time should be focused on studies. If dating affects your studies, it's not worth it," Kimberly said thoughtfully. "Also, I don't think this girl is worth pursuing. If she were a good girl, she would be clear with you. She wouldn't lead you on. Think carefully and don't be deceived."

"How dare you say that about her? She's not like that. She's the best woman in the world. Don't you dare slander her," Kevin said angrily, standing up from the couch. He couldn't tolerate anyone criticizing Audrey or suggesting he was being deceived.

Seeing Kevin's flushed face and angry expression, Kimberly was at a loss. She wasn't a homeroom teacher and had never dealt with such a tricky situation. She had intended to help, but Kevin had turned his anger on her. She regretted provoking him. Teenage boys were impulsive, especially when emotional. There were many cases of boys committing suicide over love. She shouldn't have pushed him.

"Kevin, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that," Kimberly said, her voice trembling. "Calm down. I just want to help you."

Seeing Kimberly's frightened face, pale and tearful, with her full, heaving chest, Kevin realized he had overreacted. He hadn't explained things clearly, so it was no wonder she misunderstood.

"Kimberly, I'm sorry. I overreacted," Kevin said, sitting down dejectedly. "I just can't accept it. She was so cruel. She clearly likes me but won't be with me. I really love her."

Seeing Kevin's pained expression, Kimberly felt deep sympathy for him. She knew that no words of comfort would help. Hesitating for a moment, she suddenly reached out and hugged Kevin, letting him lean against her chest to vent his emotions. Kevin's head pressed against her full, firm breasts, his tears soaking her thin loungewear, revealing glimpses of her black bra and white skin beneath.

In the government office, Grant watched nervously from his computer screen. He didn't know what Kevin had said to his wife to make her hug him like that. Kevin was too cunning.

Seeing Kevin's head pressed against his wife's chest, flattening her breasts, Grant couldn't take it anymore. He picked up his phone to call Kimberly but stopped himself. Kimberly had initially opposed Kevin coming to their house for lessons. He had begged her, even kneeling, to get her to agree reluctantly.

If Kimberly found out he was secretly monitoring her, she wouldn't cooperate anymore, and his career would be over. So he could only watch, frustrated, as Kevin took advantage of his wife, unable to intervene.
