Chapter 1668
She had always convinced herself that sleeping with Kevin was just a way to help him manage his teenage sexual urges, guiding him onto the right path, fulfilling her duty as his cousin and teacher.
But that excuse was flimsy at best. She was only Kevin's cousin, not his homeroom teacher at the time, and had no sexual obligations towards him. Besides, Kevin already had Alissa as a sexual partner and didn't need her intervention. Their first time together was purely out of revenge for Jason's infidelity.
Once a man and a woman cross that line, there's no going back. During that period, she was almost insatiable, having sex with Kevin every day in various positions, behaving like a desperate slut. She even opened up her anus to Kevin, something she had never done with her husband, and shamelessly participated in threesomes. Just a few days ago, they had sex in the classroom.
When did she become so depraved, so devoid of boundaries? How could she have any right to criticize Jason?
Audrey's slender fingers gripped the cold railing tightly, a flood of emotions surging within her—resentment, regret, self-reproach. Wrong was wrong, and her relationship with Kevin was a colossal mistake.
Suddenly, she saw a boy in the distance, carrying a canvas bag. Audrey looked closely and realized it was Abel. She waved at him, but he didn't see her, so she hurried downstairs to catch up with him.
"Ms. Johnson," Abel turned and saw Audrey, looking surprised. "What are you doing here? Isn't it the weekend?"
"Teachers don't really get weekends," Audrey said with a light laugh, noticing Abel's bulging, patched-up canvas bag that looked like it was from decades ago. "Are you heading home? We have grades due on Monday."
"No," Abel replied, looking uneasy, his dark face showing a hint of red. "I'm going to the mall to hand out flyers. Fifty bucks a day, just trying to make some money."
"Handing out flyers?" Audrey was taken aback. It seemed Abel's family was indeed struggling if he couldn't even cover his living expenses. But fifty bucks a day was too little. She said gently, "Abel, you're a senior now. Your time is precious. You shouldn't be doing this. If you need money, just tell me. I'll help you out."
"No, Ms. Johnson," Abel shook his head firmly. "You already helped me a lot by buying me that winter coat. I can't take more from you. I have hands and feet; I can earn my own money."
"Alright," Audrey saw the determined look on Abel's face and realized she had unintentionally hurt his pride. She gave up on the idea of giving him money and extended her hand. "Can I see one of the flyers you're handing out?"
"Uh, sure..." Abel hesitated before pulling out a stack of flyers from his bag. They advertised a spa, promoting natural wellness and self-discovery, with a photo of a scantily clad woman lying on a bed, her ample breasts barely covered.
Audrey's face turned slightly red with embarrassment. No wonder Abel was reluctant to show her. But nowadays, such soft-core ads were everywhere on TV and the streets. Without a woman showing some skin, no one would pay attention. Even many college recruitment ads featured girls in mini-skirts as a selling point.
"Ms. Johnson, if there's nothing else, I'll get going," Abel said, feeling utterly embarrassed by Audrey's reaction. He didn't want to hand out such sleazy flyers, but other jobs required fixed hours, and this one paid daily.
"Wait," Audrey suddenly smiled and took the stack of flyers from Abel. "Let's go hand them out together. It'll be faster that way."
"Ms. Johnson," Abel was stunned. He thought Audrey would look down on him or even scold him, but instead, she offered to help. He was deeply moved, tears welling up in his eyes. "Thank you. I really didn't know what else to do."
"Alright, alright, no need for that," Audrey said, feeling even more sympathy for Abel. She wiped his tears away. "Don't cry. You're a senior now. Crying will make people laugh at you. Let's go hand out these flyers."
They walked out of the school and headed to the nearby mall. Since it was the weekend, the mall was bustling. Audrey and Abel stood at the entrance and exit, handing out flyers to passersby. Abel's delicate features and Audrey's natural beauty drew a lot of attention. Almost everyone who passed by stopped to take a flyer, especially from Audrey, who attracted a crowd mostly there to admire her looks.
In no time, Audrey had handed out all her flyers and had to get more from Abel's bag. In the process, she accidentally tore a hole in his bag, spilling the flyers onto the ground. They both knelt to pick them up, their hands touching, and they blushed as they looked at each other.
Abel quickly stuffed the flyers back into his bag, his heart racing. The feeling was even more intense than when he had physical contact with Yasmine. After all, Audrey was far more beautiful than Yasmine, comparable to a TV star, and her ample bosom was an irresistible temptation for any male.
Audrey also felt a bit embarrassed. When Abel's hand touched hers, it felt like an electric current ran through her body. How could she feel this way? She remembered feeling the same way the first time she held hands with Kevin. But as they got to know each other better, that heart-racing feeling faded.
Maybe it was aesthetic fatigue. Even though Kevin was once infatuated with her, he eventually got used to her body. Having sex at home became mundane, and he insisted on doing it in the classroom for the thrill.
Audrey didn't particularly enjoy outdoor sex. She preferred the bedroom, the most ordinary positions, watching Kevin sweat and thrust into her, filling her completely, hitting her cervix, bringing her to climax. Then they would cuddle and talk, which was the most satisfying sex for her.
Perhaps this was the difference between adults and kids. A ten-year age gap created a significant divide in thoughts, values, and habits. She couldn't treat Kevin like Alissa did, as a son or a mere fling.
To a large extent, she saw Kevin as a lover, which meant her expectations were higher, leading to more conflicts and misunderstandings. They often had cold wars and arguments.
Kevin had matured a bit since last semester, but his impulsive nature still made Audrey feel like she was dealing with a child.
In contrast, Abel was much more mature, even though he was only a year older than Kevin. He was disciplined, steady, and self-reliant, working on weekends to ease his parents' burden. Such a boy was truly heart-wrenching.
But because of her experience with Kevin, Audrey couldn't open her heart to another boy. A female teacher and a male student were a recipe for disaster, especially with a boy like Abel who easily evoked maternal feelings. She had to control these ambiguous emotions.
With Audrey's help, they finished handing out the flyers in less than an hour, a task that would have taken Abel all day. He was amazed by Audrey's charm, suspecting that even if she handed out a piece of scrap paper, people would still take it.
"All done," Audrey said, rubbing her sore arm. Handing out flyers non-stop for an hour was quite a workout, especially with so many people flocking to her.
"Ms. Johnson, thank you so much. I would have been here all afternoon otherwise," Abel said sincerely.
"Don't mention it," Audrey checked the time. It was almost noon. "Abel, where are you having lunch? The school cafeteria is closed."
"No worries, I brought my own," Abel said, pulling out a plastic bag with three dry bread rolls and some pickles.
"Seriously? You're eating this?" Audrey's heart tightened. She hadn't expected Abel to be so frugal. A street meal would only cost a few bucks. "This won't do. You're still growing. Come on, lunch is on me. You can have anything you want."
"No, Ms. Johnson," Abel said with a shy smile. "Bread is fine. These pickles are homemade by my mom. I have several jars at home. They're very nutritious."
"Listen to me," Audrey said, taking the bread from Abel and dragging him to a nearby restaurant. She handed him the menu. "How about this? You order a few dishes, and we'll share the bread. Otherwise, I'll eat bread with you."
"Ms. Johnson..." Abel was sweating with anxiety. He couldn't let Audrey eat bread. In the end, he reluctantly ordered the cheapest dish on the menu.
"Just one dish? That's not enough for both of us," Audrey said with a smile, taking the menu and ordering three more dishes.
"Ms. Johnson, that's too much. We won't be able to finish it," Abel said hesitantly.
"It's fine. We'll take the leftovers home," Audrey said, handing the menu to the waiter. Boys his age had big appetites. Kevin usually ate enough for two, and Abel was probably the same.
