Of course, this is not the outcome Audrey had in mind. When he reached her, instead of immediately rescuing her, Kevin circled around to her back and embraced her upper body with one hand, while using the other to swim towards the shore. He felt a bulging sensation under his arm where he was holding her, realizing he was inadvertently pressing against the girl's chest. Despite this realization, he pressed on, and the girl, seemingly in shock, made no resistance, allowing Kevin to swim her to safety.
As Kevin brought the girl to the shore, a group of people was already waiting there. They quickly pulled the girl and Kevin out of the water. After wiping the water off his face, Kevin saw the girl lying motionless and felt a pang of worry. Could she be in critical condition?
Approaching her to check her pulse, Kevin was surprised to find out that the girl was Laura. Why was she swimming here?
